and all I can say is WOW.

That was the most fun i've ever had in an MMO I think. Simply perfect, racing against the clock and everything was just so cool.

Yeah, the first hundred or so are pretty fun. After that you really want some risk back in the game.

Nice to be able to custom augment your armor, though.

Try them without a full group. There seems to be a myth going around that you have to have a full group to start an LDON adventure. Not true, you can do them with as few as 3 people, and they're considerably more challenging when you go in short-handed.

With 5 people they're not bad, but with only 4 they start to get very tough.

I have~

Hard advs are okay, and the raids are very challenging, most of them. Normal adventures are just too easy.

Well, I can't speak for what's easy or hard for Samira since she's much further into game progression than I am. Personally, I was finding them a nice challenge in a three person group before (62 bard, 61 ranger, 61 druid all in about Velious level gear). Agreed that, in a full group, they're rarely much of a challenge unless you're going in with some strange circumstances (five rogues in a hard DGuk adventure.. heheh) or just a bunch of complete knotheads.

My advice to RJO is to consider doing hards, especially if he's playing with friends (who are less likely to throw a hissy fit if things go sour). Better experience and, really, more fun in a way to fight through whites and yellows than to mow through dark blues. Especially in the lower levels where the dungeons are pretty trivial even without twinking. But, above that my advice is, of course, to just have fun. If you turn out to like normals over hards, go for it Smiley: smile

I love LDoN, I have like 90 adv's under my belt. I haven't lost one in so long I can't remember. But everytime I go on a adventure I have fun, it's the most exciting xping out there. Sure it's low risk but it sure beats sitting on my drogmor throwing heals and nukes out every few secs and never moving from one spot. SoE really hit the nail on the head with LDoN. I wish GoD was more like it now. I hate the camp specific points system myself it make's it harder to get a group but other than that LDoN was the smartest thing SoE has done in a long time.
