Newbie Fest hosted by the Disciples of the PantheonFollow

The Disciple of Pantheon, a family guild on Tholuxe Paells will be hosting a Newbie Fest on March 6th, at 7pm EST. The location for the event will be East Freeport, in the area outside the gate between the city and North Ro. The events will be open to all main toons at level 15 or below. Duration will be 2 hours.

We will be holding the following events.

First Aide - everyone of the appropriate level will be healed and buffed. Here is your chance to venture a bit into North Ro, just run back to us when you need a heal.

Scavenger Hunt. We will have some easy riddles for you to solve, each a hint to an item you need to loot. Collect all the items, and the first to bring them to the host will receive an item from our guild bank.

Kite Race. You'll need to make up teams of two for this event. Everyone will be SoWd, and one member will be levitated. The levitated person will autofollow the other team member. You will race thru designated places in the city, and environs, hail the judges who will be positioned at statigic locations, and the first team back wins.

We may or may not have another event. It will be announced during the fest.

I know my newbness will shine through as a result of this post, but I think this is such a cool idea. Do guilds often host fun events like this?
