DISCORD temp serverFollow

I just wanna spread the word about how bogus this contest on Discord server is. I wasted a whole freaking week leveling a character only to get killed by some hacker. If you played on Discord then Im sure you know Highlanderr and landrover. If these guys dont get banned or if they when the pvp contest (what a f..king joke) Im outta EQ for good. Id rather go back to playing diablo.

yup, and SoE i know for a fact knows about those 2 and a few others using the hacks that they are using.

just goes to show you how much SoE really gives a damn about CS and their EULA

A) Discord server is a NO RULES ie NO RULES .. no gm support ..play at your own risk NO RULES server .. personally i won't play on discord for this reason if you cannot accept that ANYTHING goes on discord and that there are NO RULES then i would suggest you not play there ..

B) Where exactly is your proof/statement that SoE knows for a fact about these two individuals on a server that they do not put a gm or monitor .. [:rolleyes]

Seeing as everything except movement modifiers is located serverside and pretty much unhackable (after 5 years of people trying to constantly hack your service, trust me, thy know what they are doing in that respect by now) what supposed hacks are these people using?

/e plays the x-fils music

Ever think that SoE made this server with the knowledge that hackers would have a field day here knowing that there's no GM's online?

Perhaps they are actually watching and did this to catch some hackers...

i heard that those 2 can warp to a player anywhere in a zone, and then they kill them. i couldbe wrong though

simple. its all over their forums, and i know for a fact it has been both /reported and /bug

there is no way SoE does not know about these players using these hacks.

They're apperently using the client side movement modifier hack to speed themselves up faster than bard speed. Old trick, and easily catchable if sony decides to go after them for it. If not, you can probably find it somewhere on hackersquest if its still in existnace. Not reccomended for use though.

yes, and there appears to be a modification for it alowing them to warp as well, or to warp others. not 100% clear on this part of it.

either way as you mentioned this is easy to catch, yet SoE is refusing to take any appearant steps to deal with this situation.

no rules is one thing, but hacking is a direct violation of the EULA, and thus an account bannable offence. so i stand by my statement that SoE does not give a damn about their CS, or their EULA. a standard is what matters, thus they are creating a standard making their EULA worthless and thus uninforcable.

There's some duplication bugs on Discord, apparently. Some folks I know recently looted about 28 million platinum off a mule running around. I'm no mathematician, but I think you can't quite pull that off in a week hunting for fine steel.

As for gameplay- I have had fun on Discord. Thing I'd change would be to make the xp mods closer to times 5 or times 10 rather than the double they have. Leveling up again and again is pretty tedious, and takes away from the contest imho.

What exactly does one buy on Discord with 28,000,000pp? A full suit of steel plate and one of those Well Balanced scimitars off of Shady? Smiley: lol

I've heard rumors about the GM commands hacks too... that could be the warping thing, though I didn't and still don't give a whole lot of credence to the rumors.

Heh, I remember once when someone "hacked" into Tunare. They used some hack I guess. Dunno if they ever got banned or whatever.

Some monk who summoned some pretty uber gear and GM-summoned (no refresh time instant summon) random people to the bazaar arena and killed them. I got killed a few times before I snuck in and got my corpse out without him seeing me.

Which took awhile cause I think he got pissed when I slowed him. =P
