Rile Sathir ordered the construction of this tower during his rule of the Sebilisian Empire. It is named after the warlord Kurn Machta, and was used by Rile's son, Atrebe Sathir, to breed the Sarnaks. Ghosts can still be found haunting the tower.

Pulling the Secret Room

See lots of general "it's a great place", but I thought some specific info for the Secret Room (SR) would be helpfull. First of all, no mobs enter the SR, so healing/meding is completely safe; one can even camp off here.

Getting to the SR is fairly easy and safe, as the Agro range of the Undead here is VERY low... as long as you do not stop to admire them, you can usually run right past them without triggering agro. From the zone, enter the main room, turn right staying midway out from the wall on your right, move towards doorway ahead; turn left and go straight ahead - you will pass directly into the SR.

This is THE place for solo or groups of 2-3, from level 11-14 or even 15... after that one must go down to the basement, as most everything in range will con green. There are 23 mobs within a short distance of the SR all coning Blue to Yellow at levels 11-15, and you can almost always pull just ONE due to the low agro range in Kurn's.

1 directly outside, usually a Greater Skeleton (GS)

1 just outside on the right, on the wall: GS

1 just below that, by pillar: usually a Scalebone (SB)

2 just inside the entry to the stairs down, one to either side: random either SB or GS

1 just at the pillar before the stair: GS

1 on stairway, each side: random GS or SB

2 in room at bottom of stair, 1 on right and 1 by door: GS's

1 just inside the door: GS or Greater Scalebone (GSB)

2 in alcove at hall T-intersection: 1 Burryani Burrower (BB) or Excavator (BE), and 1 GS or GSB > you CAN pull just one or the other <

Down LEFT hallway:
1 just down from intersection: GS or GSB (SOMEtimes a Lesser Icebone - will con Yellow at 13)

1 at archway: GS or GSB

1 BB in doorway on left

2 BB or BE in alcove to right where corridor turns to the left.

Down RIGHT hallway:

1st room on right: 1 BB or BE in room on right, 1 BB/BE and 1 GS to either side of hall opening ahead.

2nd room: 1-4 (random)BB/BE/GS/GSB (random)

The mobs are on about at 20 minute spawn, so you clear the way from the SR down to the T-intersection, pulling 1-2 at a time back to the SR. At that point you may choose to move to the bottom of the stairs and set up there, but I would not recommend it if soloing or groups below level 13.

You can easily pull and dispatch all the mobs above, to the T-intersection within the spawn time. How far you get after that depends on the length of the fights and downtimes. If they start to respawn, well *smile*, you just start over and repeat as necessary.

I have run a solo Iksar Warrior through level 15 in this room. Best was a 3-group of Warrior, Sk and Shaman... the Sk and I took turns pulling, so the downtime was nill (we kept the poor Shaman in constant med/heal mode *grin*) and we averaged a full bubble per 30 minutes at level 12; took all of us just under 3 hours to level.

Hope this helps... I LOVE this area.
