This zone has been upgraded, by quite a bit. Nightfear now cast ignite bones amongst other spells. There is also a new mob called the Revealer near the observer spawn that nukes for 1150. This is a tough tough zone now, in my opinion.

Could 2 groups handle this zone consisting of:

55 SK
50 war
53 sk or pal
51 necro
51 chanter
50 shammy
52 wizard
54 rogue
55 mage
52 cleric
52 cleric
50-55 (insert class her) heheh

Weak point is crowd control. Many mobs in here are red to your 51 chanter, so you would not be able to count on mez, which is bad. Get your chanter and shaman to more like 55 and bring a similar level bard, and you'll have a decent chance of doing much of the zone. Stay away from the royals area. You'll still have to be careful and disciplined though...no multipulls because people get antsy and crap like that. CR here is a *****, so load up on coffins before you come. Entrance dogs do not see invis, but tougher ones do, and one will occasionally wander in front of the castle gates. Put an evacer in each group. Have the casters bind in BW outside the exit. Make sure your puller knows that there are a number of casters here. If you're skilled and prepared, you can have a huge amount of fun here, while getting some awesome XP and loot.

In a word? NO....
On Fenin Ro, groups like you describe might do the Observer, pehaps a Guardian, most often just camps along front (Captain-Sergeant)Z in and Zout, sometimes a couple grps of what you describe may do waterfall...AFTER a great deal of experience in the zone, learning, watching and listening to zone veterans....two veteran groups between 52-56 maybe be able to continue downward past Dragoons and to the BattleMaster, and that would be about it. King, and any wheres near him...nope notta, Wtached a group 58-60 start calling for rez's and CR 12 minutes after thie attempt...Very tough zone...takes time, patiece, practice and a willingness to spend hours waiting for cR and rez's. HOWEVER the Exp compares to non for the lvl ratio and the loot is ubber phat!
Gluck!

We've been using the drop down tactic on the Royals for a while. Now, it looks like that's been nerfed with the patch on May 7. When we've tried to drop down on the King from Library, we've aggroed the Queen .... in other words, deaths all around :(

Back to old tactics I guess.
Chardok Quests
# Mar 31 2002 at 7:12 AM Rating: Decent
I have heard that there are some pretty funky quests in Chardok now and am working my necro up to ally to be able to to do them. But i was wondering if anyone had attempted them or had found out just who it is that gives the quests. Any info would be helpful. thank you in advance.

Getting in and out
# Feb 24 2002 at 12:02 PM Rating: Excellent
In the Sarnak Fort, run ahead and a little right to get to the correct area. Then run right into the tunnel. Invis will get you past all of the sarnaks, no trouble there. The zoneline is at the corner. Head in at the same time as the rest of your party, since it is possible to be attacked right at the zoneline.

When you want to exit, run down that tunnel and hug the left wall. It will go past a castle, then up again to a mirror of the zone-in tunnel. The zone out is at that corner. Someimes mobs will spawn behind the zoneout line. All of the "dogs" in Chardok see invis, so run fast!
Entrance to Chardok
# Feb 15 2002 at 12:19 PM Rating: Decent
Looking for the correct entrance, and the way to the Z-out once you are in. Everyone speaks of these areas as if it it readily apparent, but some clarification would be nice. Would hate to zone in and go looking for the zone out and walk into a mine field.

Okay I'm searching Chardok for a metal pipe for the robe of the whistling fist. I've never been there before and would like some info if anyone can help. I tried to explore Chardok by running past mobs and FDing. Standard strategy to get past mobs without having to fight them (although casters are making it difficult) I noticed there were 4 entrance-like places in the burning wood but I don't know which one is the one I'm after. I tried the one on the far side and almost got toasted when I ran into a room full of Sarnaks with no zone line that I could see. Just how does one get into this place? I intend to make another attempt tomorrow, but it'd be nice to know I'm not headed out of the kettle and into the flame.

So, i was in nurga mines and was told the stuff in there gives good chardok faction after we were done. Never looked at the fation hits. If so, does that mean i can get faction high enough to wonder around chardok without care?

I need advice on working epic. I have been collecting the simple "don't have to kill anything for them, but have to run all over" items for a while now. I havn't been able to get the block of permafrost yet, but understand it is random off of any of the ig inside perma. How, I would like to know, do you get to the queen here in chardok? There is one post here listing what looks to be a workable way to kill her, but where is she? I know, its hard to describe without a map. Once you kill her, how long does it take for her to respawn if she doesn't drop the blade the first time? I'm assuming every other warrior along on a venture here would like to have one. What should be the levels of the people involved--45, 50, 60? a nice mix? What is a good number of people to bring along? the above post stated the least he was with for the queen was 27, but would less work? (personally i prefer the more the better, cept for the corpse runs after.) At 42 and a half, the most i might do in this zone at this time is grab a druid friend and a cleric or two, and a couple other melee or chanters and sit inside the zone (mebbe a wizard instead of druid) to see how the mobs path and (of course!) how hard the hit, and get an idea of the layout, at least from zone in to zone out. Course, if anyone on Druzzil knows the zone fairly well and doesn't mind showing me around sometime, I'd be willing to go so i have an idea of where to go and what to do when i take my guild there. Anyway, any help and advice i can get, I'd appreciate it.

As of today, eqatlas does not have a map of Chardok. Has anybody created one? Or is it one of those multi-level dungeons that's near impossible to map?

Only thing here for the cleric epic is the singed scroll that drops off the king. I have a Scroll of the invoker that dropped off a shai' Din Invoker. No one seems to know what that's for either.

There are 4 FT's, each with the amount of mana they regen listed. Flowing thought 1, 2, 3, and 4 regen 1, 2, 3, and 4 mana per tick, respectively. Flowing thoughts do not stack with each other, but they do stack with Chanter Mana Regen (Breeze, Clarity, Clarity 2)
RE: Forgot
# Apr 30 2002 at 8:57 AM Rating: Decent
This has been changed since Luclin. Now Flowing Thought items will stack with other Flowing Thought items of a different "rating", e.g. Flowing Thought 2 will stack with Flowing Thought 3 (but not with another FT2 item). Also there are Flowing Thought 5 items now.
Chardok raid

What amount of people/groups would be needed to go into Chardok and get the herbalist drop for necro epic? Was wondering if my guild could do.

my guild went in and held the herb room last night, since most of the people who went in were between 50 to 55 (our puller was a 58SK though), we had 3 groups and some change. extremely difficult to seperate the pulls unless you got a high level monk. we just have chanters mezzing the extras since we couldn't single pull the mobs. the only time we experienced problems was when some people attacked more than one at a time, and it was scrambling for everyone.

if you are all above 58, one group like the configuration they mentioned above will work. but 3 full groups of 50+ should be fine, as long as you have at least 2 chanters/bards on mezz duty. hope that helps.

Well it depends what lvl your guild is, the Herb shack is pretty hard to break with 1 group but can be done, i recommend:
60 War
60 Monk
60 Rog
55+ Druid/Wiz
55+ Cleric
55+ Chanter (Closer to 60 prolly better since most mobs 55)

Tuvine Skydancer
55th Preserver of Tunare
Ant Bayle

Describing locations is a pain in the butt. :p

Enter chardok zone and follow passage to castle in front. Past castle (not in, but past it towards zone out) is a tunnel that you can only reach by levitating. Head way down that tunnel (very deep). I think you go left, right, left, left to the kennels, but I'm very unsure about that. Most of the mobs down there are about lvl 56, so it's nasty. Takes a well tuned group to get there, since respawn is incredibly fast. You will NEED a FD puller, since the mobs are so high that your enchanter can't mez without using the higher level spells (at 250 mana a cast). That means your chanter may be OOM with a bad pull. The kennels have to be pulled very carefully into the hall before the kennels. Keep your group bunched up in the hall to avoid respawn agros behind you. We took 2 group, about 9 of whom were lvl 60, and still had one wipeout (though just had 1 chanter). Very tough area, but fun if you have the manpower.

Good luck!

Well, I know of this "herbalist" know... actually thought it was cool because my necro friend wanted to go down there just for that reason... But we went down to chardok, soloed a few chokodai, and a 59 cleric and 57 bard came in lfg... WOOHOO!

(<--- druid btw)

So we had a "group" that just needed a tank... then a 57 mage came in lfg... WOOHOO! Beefy pet tank... After fighting a bit, 54 ogre warrior lfg... WOOHOO! Full group that was kickin **** without the warrior, and now we're rockin... with the cleric pulling (hehe, don't knock that... she did a great job) we got bored of outside the castle and went to the bridge and jumped off... there were some slaves there (non-aggro... tho those shovels did look pretty mean =p) and we just cleared there... but then the Grand Master Herbalist (or whatever) spawned, and proceeded to gain the upper hand due to the fact the cleric's monitor f'ed up and needed to be switched. Now the cleric and the bard were husband/wife team, so we knew she was inc, but we did manage to get him... even tho the mage had to follow him halfway thru the level... and he got the herb...

But after the group disbanded, we did some misc crap (me and the nec) and eventually went to the swamp of no hope and there was the mage ;)

Necro got his epic piece MQed, and I got an SBS, so both of us were really happy we didn't listen to pesimistic ol' me (who was turned down for chardok twice in the previous 5 minutes before he suggested we go to chardok =p)

Morale being: the herb dropped off the herbalist who spawned underneath the bridge

GL with that epic ;)
