Located on the northern coast of Kunark. An outpost in the northwestern region is occupied by Dark Elves who have aligned themselves with Venril Sathir.

At night, Dragoons can be seen patrolling the paths. Sarnaks, plantlife, and wildlife roam all throughout The Overthere while the scorpikis can be found in and around the massive chasm leading to Charasis.

Hunting in the mid to upper 30's
# Aug 23 2000 at 8:02 AM Rating: Excellent
There are 4 general locations that are appropriate hunting for this level range.

"The Ledge" is a popular location. It is located on the South wall of the zone, just west of the middle. It is the OT (Overthere) end of the valley that leads to the FM (Frontier Mountains) zone line. During peak hours, there can be up to 3 full groups hunting this spot.

"Skyfire" is located on the West wall of the zone, a little ways South of the outpost. It is distinguished by the ruins of a temple that leads to the Skyfire zone. You'll know it when you see the ramp leading up to the temple. This area can accomodate more groups than "The Ledge", and has a closer zone line to safety (Skyfire).

"The Tower" is a single tower on the East side of the zone, just South of the WW (Warslik Wood) zone. It spawns 4 Sarnak of varying levels which tend to drop some of the uncommon random loot. For this reason, it is very popular, but can only accomodate one group.

"The Ruins" is due East of "Skyfire" and is a collection of 3 ruined buildings that spawn a total of 12 or so Sarnak. This area can be done by a single high 30's group, but you must have a crowd control person (bard or enchanter). This site also has a higher drop percentage of uncommon loot.

The biggest single concern in this zone on the Western to Southern side is the regular wandering patrol of Dragoons ('Goons) from the outpost. They will kill you very quick if you are KOS to the outpost.

If you haven't hunted in OT before, these are NOT your average run of the mill goons. They are around level 50 and will massacre a high 30's group in a minute or so as they hit for 137 pts and two of the three goons (up to all three can be roaming together) have pets and cast as well. They will fear you and their pets butcher you as you run.

A very good please to base out of is just east of the ledge. Move about 100 yards east of the ledge and base yourself on the zone wall. If you can get used to hunting at an angle, you can get the same types of pulls as at the ledge (non-stop if you have a healer) and NO goons wander that far east.

So at level 31 what is the experience like? I mean... is it great experience or just plain nasty? What? And is the loot halfway decent?

The experience is GREAT at pretty much any lvl.
The loot isn't all that hot, i think if you camp certain areas there might be a greater chance for worthwhile loot. I have been here a week and having seen any eye raising items.

This is a great spot to hunt and level from 21-24.

The creatures here aren't social, however one thing to keep in mind is that while most of the time these creatures won't aggro on you walking by, however they are like the Centaurs over in SK in the fact that Out of the blue they will aggro on you for no reason.

What you want to do is hunt the area between Warslik Wood's zone down to the outpost along the ocean side of the zone. If you're not KOS at the outpost you can fight outside the gate and the gaurds will attack the creatures if you get in over your head, otherwise fight at the waterhole near warslik zone, though it is a pretty decent run if something is on you.

If you're out wandering be sure to con a creature before attacking it...Those Rhino's range from lvl 23 up to 34 depending on location. Rhino's also run as fast as SOW and are hard hitters. Cacti are fairly easy for thier levels, while Cockatrices are even fights.

The highest concentration of creatures seems to be around the watering hole near the Warslik Zone.

There are two sets of monsters in overthere, with very similar names sometimes. Ones that are low 20s and ones that are in the 30s. The lower and higher "zones" are divided as if you were to take diagonal line from the Woods zone to the town. Towards Frontier Mountains is high, and towards Ocean is lower.
