As of May 2008, you can teleport to the Plane of Sky via the Guild Hall portal (Cloudy Stone of Veeshan) or get a port from Relm M`Loch in the Plane of Tranquility.

In the alternative, a wizard can cast their Alter Plane Sky spell to port up a group. Once in this plane, you cannot levitate, gate, or use any sort of evacuation spells (with the exception of the Alter Plane spell which still works).

The only way out is to jump off. Upon doing so, you will fall safely to the water near the docks of East Freeport, (provided you don't hit another island below you and die as a result). This is a one-way trip, obviously. You can get CoH by a mage and use fellowship fires however.


Level 46 is required to enter the zone.

Judging by the posts, id say im in for alot... So how hard is it to get to the 7th sky isle?

Also, how do i aquire keys... bit unsure and guide is odd =/

I dont fight in the planes much at all.
At lvl 55, I joined a raid that went to Sky.
It was my first time there.

We were clearing the first Island when something REALLY started hitting us. I dont remember who/what it was but 90% of the raid died.

I was one of the unlucky ones still standing when the fight was done. I was INSTANTLY KOS in Sky, after one Kill. Now I am 60 well I JUST dinged to 61 and I want to complete my epic but I cant.

Anyone know how to get NON Kos to the guardians/efreetis whatever that you apparently ARENT supposed to kill.

GM and Lead GM on Druzzil has said basically too bad so sad.

How about if you simply don't AOE them. they are indiferent to everyone so you must have done that.
Corpse timers and fight tips

Corpse Timers do not expire with Necros summoning corpses. However a deuled corpse only has 10 minutes left on it. That might be what you experianced.

I don't have the timer for each Island down - but I know that Isles 1-3(Gorg) are under 8 hours and Isle 4(Peg / Griff)Respawn time for mobs is EXACTLY 12 hours. I timed it. The other day - we were not able to Respawn nottap Ekim by killing one Griff after we killed KoS - we will try this trick again another time to see if we get different Results

When doing peg griff the first time we pulled off the Island to Gorg - and the 2nd time we fought up there - There is a nice spot on the NE side the is out of all aggro range to pull to.

On Spiroc Island the best place to fight is on the West side about the middle - cause that is furthest from Spiroc Lord and you can pull with out getting SL aggro. Have not found a way to pull less than 6/7 spirocs at once. The Aggro range issues on that Island are crazy.
Corpse Summon Question

Was wondering if anyone can confirm the Necro Summon getting rid of the Corpse Rezz timer...
If so, how do you recover from a wipe up here?
If all the corpses have to be summoned back to the first island, are you out that xp?

When we wiped in PoA on the 4th island. We simply had a Wizard port up one necro and one cleric. the necro summoned the clerics corpse and thhe cleric rezzed himself then ran to the fourth island and began rezzing the rest of the party. the fourth island is non kos. also you do not use your rezz timer by summoning a corpse

Just a rather important piece of info about a Sony stealth nerf in POA. New mob up, Storm Mistress, oh...and Corpses that get summoned by necros? Well, they get their rez timer expired.
Yup, thats right. No more gettin around it. Pay large plat for pos drops, or mandatory epic items. No more kill, summon, rez the extras to move from isle to isle

What the heck?!! In this long list of cool items to get and not a one for beastlords ecept for a few all/all drops. Hey quest writers! Throw in a few plane of Air quests for beastlords! Beastlord Test of Ferocity has a nice ring to it...
BTW, while you're at it don't forget you left out ogres and trolls (so far) when you made all those cool newbie quests for every other starting city on Norrath and Luclin. Good job on them, but you're not done yet!

We were raiding PoA lately and found out that we kept our keys after jumping off.. we were used to losing keys doing so.
Does anyone know if Verant changed these rules on purpose or if it's an unintentional bug that will be removed soon again?

Jumping off an island is the way you leave PoA. Given that you don't hit another island on the way down, that is, hehe. Falling out of PoA drops you in Freeport.

You fall off and land in the water in E Freeport. And as far as I know, there is no other way out of there, including porting.

Just a humerous side note to jumping off the island. Last night was my first time in PoA.

When we called it quits, I jumped. You zone into East Freeport. I kept waiting to hit the water when I zoned in, but I seemed to be hung up quite high in the air.

I looked down to see what was going on. I was standing on the tallest totem pole of people I've ever seen! I just laughed, memmed my gate spell right on the spot and gated out.

My guild in alliance with another did this plane for the first time last night, and we had vet's along. I was surprised that some things that were extremely helpful were not posted here.

Such as when on the plane don't use Say, don't use Emotes, don't use AE spells of any kind..

and my question is HOW do you get to the third island without getting kacked?.. if you can't use AE spells?.. we had thought of sending in the tanks with enchanter to follow to ae mez while the rest of us arrived to try and beat down what ever it was that killed us.. can anyone give us a clue?

Sorry if this seems like a Noob question, but I have never been to plane of air! For the enchanter epic, you need to pick up a Book of charm and sacrifice. It says its "on a table in the Quest room at loc :1300, 560" Well, I know the plane of air is several islands, and i just want to know where is the quest room? Is it on the first zone in island? or the last? Can I just zone in and be able to go pick it up safely? Or will i need to go along with a raid? Any help would be appreciated!

Get a port up from a wizzie, stone is about 210 pp. Cloudy stone of veeshan, i believe it is called, buyable in the library in erudin. The first island is non-aggro, so you are safe when you enter.

Make sure to bring one copper with you, and buy the key to the quest island from the Key Master (don't remember what it's called, but it's the only key that costs 1 cp). From there, go around the first island while holding the key clicking on the little porters until you find the one that takes you to the quest room (look like ashtrays on the ground).

The book is in the efreeti room of the quest isle (also non-aggro). Make sure to do it when you don't have any immediate plans. When i went for mine, it was not there. I just camped in PoA and checked periodically until it was on the table.

Just a note, do NOT duel, or cast ANY offensive spells on another player (The ones that give another player the message soandso tries to cast a spell on you, but you are protected) on the first island, or in the quest room, or the efreeti quest npc's will kill you very fast.

Other than that, you are in no danger whatsoever.

I've only been to PoS once and on that occasion I was told to NOT speak to anything. So is it necessary for me to Hail the Keymaster? Or do I just give him 1cp and get the key to the quest room?

Hi all... I've been masterlooting for some time now in for our guild raids and have had no luck finding out what a few items are for. If anyone could help me out, I'd be in your debt :)

The items are: Petrified Wood, Swirling Sphere of Color and Torc of Veeshan

Also I'd like to double-check with anyone that knows to make sure the Efreeti Two Handed Sword for the Palidan Quest is now the Efreeti Zweihander.

I seem to remember the petrified wood being used in an iksar warrior quest. For the footmans pike or some such. Was some time ago, so I can't remember which one. There are a number of upgrade quests for that item. All Low level. There may however be other uses for petrified wood of course.

I have the same problem. However the sphere is for the Ranger epic quest. Not sure about the other items. I got a petrified wood the other day as well.

After owning the Spiroc Island, we were in for a surprise at Bzzazzt Island. There are 3 lvl 50 Bzzazzts on the island, all 3 aggro immediately on teleporting onto the island. They also proc Deadly Poison (1200 damage DoT) and hit for high 200's to 300 damage. They split into lvl 55 highly magic resistant Bizzazzts. What I'm wondering is, how have the people that have cleared the island done it. The first three mobs are easy to mez, but the subsequent spawns are almost totally MR. GoK can hold them, sometimes, for a short time, but when they are laying the smack down on your tanks with 500 damage hits, how do you keep them away from the fight. Our first attempt went well at first, but enchanters are easy pray for these when mez breaks and they soon died. Shortly thereafter, we were wiped off the island. Anyone have strategy suggestions?

The EASY way to do it is the following:

Use invis, get everyone behind gear.

Need 3 chanters with Rapture, 1 with dictate (I don't do this chantering bit, I just know what spells were working).

Use necros to feed chanters.

From behind the first fight. the chanters rapture the center bee and the right bee. Tanks kill the left, when is splits into 2 use dictate on one and tear **** up as long as possible, Use rapture when dictate breaks and finish off the 5 in this set. After set is done, camp otu, do CR, etc.

Next:

Rapture center, lay the smack down on right. When it splits into 3, rapture one, dictate the 2nd, kill 3rd. should be easy, when dictate runs out, switch to rapture, if you have 2 dictates, go to town. Camp out, do CR, etc when done.

Next:

Kill center, after the first 3 I'd suggest just camping, doing CR when the boss spawns. Very hard to finish all 4 in one fight, you'll have 80 minutes to recover, refresh and kill the boss.

Summary: 3 60 chanters and this is cake. Any less and it's tricky.

Their magic resistance is a little high, but they can be dazzled. I'd be hesitant for recommending the CR method of fighting the final boss - first time we lost against her, she flew way up and was a real pain to bring to the ground for our second attempt.

The main thing that would make this island easy to handle would be giving everyone a job BEFORE going up there, and EVERYONE knowing and understanding thier jobs. If a mistake is made, it leads to a lengthy CR. I would also suggest having at least one if not two clerics camped out on this island incase you get owned.
