As of May 2008, you can teleport to the Plane of Sky via the Guild Hall portal or get a port from Relm M`Loch in the Plane of Tranquility. In the alternative, a wizard can cast their Alter Plane Sky spell to port up a group.

Once in this plane, you cannot levitate, gate, or use any sort of evacuation spells (with the exception of the Alter Plane spell which still works). The only way out is to jump off. Upon doing so, you will fall safely to the water near the docks of East Freeport (provided you don't hit another island below you and die as a result). This is a one-way trip, obviously. You can get CoH by a mage and use fellowship fires however.

I just finished my Mage epic. After I was done I clicked the key to get to a fire I set up in Plane of Fire. Worked well.

I notice there a a boat load of dropped items missing from the items list, when I view the full list.

I will run collector next time I'm there and see if that helps.

I finally decide to go after the 10 delay weapon I managed to get 2!! hands of veeshan up and what do you know island 6 is BUGGED because the bugs(bees) are under the island have tried all kinds of ways to get the mobs just not working. tried walking on the chain to see them no luck tried to look from lower islands no luck. tried aoe no luck..

satuday 17:00 Augest 2015 zoning up to sky from the guild hall make you keep all of your buffs so dont even thinking about zoning up from PoK with a wizzar base on that you luse all of your buffs 1 Island buy the key to get to 2 Island on 2 Island kill 1 or 2 normal mobs make the lord of sky pop kill him loot the mirror give it to sirron get you the key to the 3 Island invis up every time you zone over to a new Island make it more safe for you to not gain aggro my main char is a 105 warrior boxing my shammy WHO is lvl 91 my cleric WHO is 55+ my monk WHO is 50+ my zerker WHO is 55+ so was not realy any problem for me to get my alt's gearet doing my entire time in sky as i solo every name with my 105 war and havde my 105 healer merc up for the 65k DT went way to easy lol cant understand so many ppl get kill in sky when it is so darn easy to do now a days not like back in the good old days when you needed a full raid to so sky even tho it was fun back to do sky but took way to long time to get ppl keyed and to the last Island lol my server was the MM server whits got merge with Sarym so if you ever need help with sky just send me a tell to ither kavrillidol or grombuff thanks in front from Kavrillidol

Well atm my 85 mage is stuck on his 1.0 quest. Not in a guild and returned after a 4 yr leave. The Keeper Of Souls is just murdering me and most people in general are asking silly(think millions) of pp to tank him. Hate to think that EQ has degenerated into pp whores and unhelpful WoW kids. May have t wait till I A: get lucky and a kind soul who can take 66k DT comes along. B: I can level my SK high enough to to said job. Ho hum.

You know, technically ANYONE can take the DT for you as long as you get them into the zone. It's just a matter of quickly killing him after that character dies.

Also, it seems like for most people, millions isn't a lot of plat anymore. I wouldn't know, I have less than 200k spread among 8 characters. I'm heading up there soon to work on my ranger epic. Not sure why, when defiant weapons are better these days, but I want to finish it.

Why do the connected zones list Plane of Knowledge? Where in PoK can you zone into Sky (other than wiz port)?

island 1 : purchase key of the misplaced from master of keys for 104 plat. go to the east side (p1400 x p400) and use key to get to island 2 (azaracks)
island 2: kill all the azaracks, loot a broken mirror, kill protector of sky (which spawns once all the azaracks are killed), hand in broken mirror to sirran to spawn, turn in broken mirror to get key of misforture. use to get to island 3
island 3: Kill trash and loot the animal figurine. kill goralosk to spawn sirran (make sure all other mobs are already dead because sirran will assist if a fight is still going on). hand in animal figurine to sirran and get the key of beasts. use it to go to island 4
island 4: kill stuff to loot bird whistle, wait till Collector of Souls spawns ( took 50 minutes from 1st kill or 40 from last kill for me), kill it to spawn sirran, hand in bird whistle for your avian key to get to island 5.
Island 5, Kill vanquisher to loot a noise maker. as long as one vanquisher is up, the spiroc guardian will keep spawning. once all 3 vanquishers down, the guardian gets killed and does not repop. at that point you can kill the lord ( 50k nuke every 30 seconds? old school DT). find sirran in the center and hand in the noise maker for a key of the swarm to get to island 6
island 6 - bees. immediate agro. kill mobs and they split and split and split. just kill them all. loot a dull dragon scale and hand to sirran for your key of scale for 7.
island 7 - kill the mobs and loot a replica of the wyrm queen. this is where I got stuck. I maybe killed too fast and sirran didn't spawn. I am sure you hand in the replica to sirran for next key, but since he was still up on the previous island, I maybe just went too fast. on island 2, 3 and 4 it didn't matter though.

The above post is misleading, he got stuck and Sirran didn't spawn because he didn't say "llaw eht htiw eno ma I" to Sirran on the Bee island to spawn the Sister of the Spire on the Next island. Sirran does not spawn on the next island unless you spawn then kill her. Even if you clear the island.

As of January 22, 2014 All Plane of Sky Keys go to your /keyring, but they only do so if you have already keyringed the keys to the previous Islands. The different Island keys share a spot in the keyring, ala ToFS; you just can't skip to the end and get them all.

The order to keyring the Islands is as follows
Key of Swords (Noble's Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 2
Key of the Misplaced (Azarack Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 3
Key of Misfortune (Gorgalosk's Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 4
Key of the Beasts (Harvester/Horse Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 5
Avian Key (Spiroc Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 6
Key of the Swarm (Bzzazzt/Wasp Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 7
Key of Scale (Drake/Sphinx Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 8
Veeshan's Key (Butterfly Island) -> Plane of Sky: Island 9

The Key of Veeshan (Quest Room) had it's name changed to Efreeti's Key and is keyringed separate from the Island keys as Plane of Sky: Efreeti's Key.

The Spiroc Lord's death touch hits hits for 65k. If you have a character with high enough hp its easy enough to survive that death touch and kill him before he casts it again. If you have a healer and can get some one to tank it you will likely get fully healed and can thus take another dt if you don't kill him within 30 seconds. Make sure you pull him away from his spawn point though. He kept on spawning after i killed him. Had like 8 corpses. Got my warrior a Spiroc Wingblade and my shadowknight got a Blade of Abrogation off of one of the corpses. You can campfire characters onto each island and bypass the key system as well if you are in a fellowship. This makes getting around way easier.

EDIT: I see now. Its cause The Spiroc Guardian wasn't killed first that The Spiroc Lord kept on spawning. I didn't see The Spiroc Guardian otherwise im sure i would have killed it and unknowingly stopped any chance of getting the Blade of Abrogration i had gotten for my shadowknight since it dropped on the 4th or 5th corpse of The Spiroc Lord.

Level 67 enchanter . .defiant gear. Total Domination 3 - Dire charm - summon companion

Island 1:

Thunder Spirit: Hits for 147. Can dual wield with graphics. Gave 2 blood daggers and they showed up.
Thunder spirit Princess: Hits for 250. Can dual wield. VERY MR. Charm never lasted more than 3 min.

Island 2.

Brought the thunder spirit princess from island one. Summon companion AA works here.
Azaracks are able to be chain stunn with Color slant and skew. Same with princess. While chain stunning, i had to recast BA quite a few times. Cleared island (Along with protector of sky) and sirran popped. Turned in key and moved on.

Island 3.

Initially brought over princess and had a bad pull and had to drop off the island. Lost princess pet. No matter. Gate to pok to pot and back up to sky. Back on the 3rd island there are air pet looking mobs that are invis. Awesome pets. TD3 had almost every full duration charms. Still charmable with Boltans Anigrace(SP? - max level 53 for that spell) Gave 2 more blood daggers and pet equipped them. max hit was 250 ish so I assume same level as princess (53). Cleared the front of the boss hut (for lack of better words) and had to pacify pull the main boss out. It is surrounded by 2 named inside and 3 trash outside that will all come if you pull any in the hut with out pacify. Ranger harmony line does not work here. Ended up having to charm "a heart harpie" (level 59) with command of druzzil. Hits for 367 and dual wields as well. Only issue is the mob procs a word of morrel type stun that mezez the mob and then the charmed pet stops fighting .. once the stun wears off it starts fighting ... rinse and repeat.

BTW sirrian the lunatic can be pacified if need be. All pacify was done with level 61 ench pacify spell.

Was doing a turn in for my epic in the Efreet cave, out of nowhere an Azarack drops in, aggros, then every guy in the room assists him. I assume the same thing would happen if Sirran the Lunatic was nearby.

SoE has quite obviously given up on this zone, despite its uniqueness and
necessity to so many epic quests.

I assume they will never fix this problem.

Can confirm as of today, 09/22/2010, that if you opt to take a Wizard port to Sky, all your buffs are still stripped. Can still get there from Guild Hall I believe without losing them.

85 shadownight, i've already gotten my keys to isle 7 and i usually farm the crown and other items for fun. DT is not a problem as Harm Touch hits for over 33k and kills any mob in Sky. A Wizard's Mana Blaze works good as well vs. the DT mobs. For Spiroc Lord, you'll still need someone to eat the DT as you actually have to pull the guy away because of the insta spawn of the next Lord. The only mob i haven't tried is the Eye, dunno how many hp it has. but overall HT does 128k, max AA.
corpse summon still works as i summoned a mage from the first island to the 7th as he wanted to loot a crown himself. if i remember correctly, most mobs spawn after 8 hours, but i believe the sphinxs on isle 7 are either 12 hours or 18 hours, i forget which. Azaracks from isle two are annoying if you don't have a key. I've seen them on every island, mostly on isle's 4 and 7. Also it used to be that you'd lose all your buffs whenever you zoned to Sky, this no longer happens, thank god. lol. hope this info helps.

the azarack's pathing on island 2 are still way out of whack, just be careful as I saw them wandering on islands way out of their normal roaming routes. I also managed to spawn Protector of Sky (island 2 boss) without even killing all the azaracks...still had a couple on track that were lollygagging around the zone somewhere.

overall this zone is fun, i've been using my cleric bot to take the DT's as i work my way from island to island.

he said that as a warning to a person who may for whatever reason decide to duel someone while in plane of sky. his warning was legitimate, as dueling will either result in a.) death, or b.) an irreversible faction hit.

Last night I returned to PoSky with Drexx and a small raid force. We can confirm that Island 2 appears to be borked and thus keys to Island 3 could not be procured for those new to the plane. Necro-COH was the only method available to get unkeyed folks past that point (mage COH spell, COH AA, and Call Hither AA are all disabled in PoSky). Also...due to the way that dying/rezzing works now, the corpses poof in an inconvenient amount of time when dying via dueling, so the best bet is to have those who need to be summoned get killed by the KeyMaster on Island 1. Once killed...DO NOT REZ. Have the person either re-zone into sky (via guild port, wizard port, or the PoTranq porter) OR have them Dru/Shm "call"'d back. This will prevent the corpse from auto-poofing, and allow for the necro/sk to summon the corpse to island 3 where an experience rez can be given..thus pulling the character past the broken island 2 onto 3. And of course, this means that you're going to need a minimum of a necro keyed for island 3 from a previous time (when island 2 worked) in order to drag an otherwise unkeyed raid beyond island 2.

I'm sure Drex will update his guide with that info, but in the mean time hope that helps :)

Whatever issues you were having at the time seem to be fixed. There is still really messed up pathing issues but root seems to be quite effective. I was able to get my key for the next island np.

Well, being DTs are no longer 20k hits (much higher now) and are not resistable, sony thought they made things a little more difficult when it came to soloing old school raid mobs. They forgot one thing though. For those of you who haven't noticed, monks get a disc in their 70s called Impenetrable. This disc basically makes it so they take absolutely no damage over something like 30 seconds, but also uses up the whirlwind timer. It's downtime is 3 mins. This disc makes it so that monks can eat a DT and live through it with no questions asked... Now, as far as delivering the 32k dmg in the next 30-40 seconds, that's up to you. I generally invis to the mob, hit impen, wait for it to turn on then engage on monk and beat the snot outta the mob in like 15 seconds. Makes it easy to farm sky mobs and golems in fear.

Eternal Spirit is a roaming mob on Island 4 (horse and griffin island). It's not hard to find, and since nothing is KOS up there, just roam around til you find it. For the most part, the roaming mobs tend to circle the windmill.
