As of May 2008, you can teleport to the Plane of Sky via the Guild Hall portal or get a port from Relm M`Loch in the Plane of Tranquility. In the alternative, a wizard can cast their Alter Plane Sky spell to port up a group.
Once in this plane, you cannot levitate, gate, or use any sort of evacuation spells (with the exception of the Alter Plane spell which still works). The only way out is to jump off. Upon doing so, you will fall safely to the water near the docks of East Freeport (provided you don't hit another island below you and die as a result). This is a one-way trip, obviously. | | ----------------------- |

I have pretty good gear I'd say, at least for my level. ~7200hps / 8k mana unbuffed.
All stats maxed at 265 or at least very close.
I realize the mob on isle 3 that DT's will require a pretty solid group, but wanted to at least get everything else I need up there before I ask folks to come up and help me out...ie, I want to solo as much of it as possible.

The (KOS) azeracks from 2 visit near every other island now, including 1 and 7.
Technically they are wimpy but... they are KOS. And everything in Sky assists them.
So if you happen to suddenly get attacked by everything on island 1 - that's why. Well, unless you managed to destroy your Sky faction.
Given the popularity of the zone I expect a fix not before 2030.
Unfortunatly I wasnt in charge and was not listened to. People seem to have the attitude that this is such a low old world zone that they can just zerg up here with their uber gear.
If you go to POS read Drexels guide link is posted below.
http://home.comcast.net/~drexxell/eq/planeofsky.html
This guide is very well thought out and has key progression charts, graphics, information on every mob spawn cycle and lots of tips. Also dispells many rumors such as "hailing sirran" causing him to agro you (no longer true if it ever was).
In my last experience a supposedly semi decent guild went up and didn't completely clear the islands, or save the boss mobs for last (in their arogance) despite my warnings so three times in a row (3 islands)Sirran went agro at some point during key trades shrinking the raid force each time. To make matters worse they killed Sirran despite my warning not to.
From then on each time sirran spawned it would agro the people that killed it on previous islands, so they killed it again. It is my understanding that this will permantly destroy inhabitants of sky faction including most or all of the quest mobs (Djinn's, Summoners, and other usually non kos mobs).
So, word to the wise. Do it right unless you want to deprive unsuspecting guildies of the ability to quest or progress here forever.
Won't be raiding with that guild again.

If you want information on Plane of Sky keys, go to Drexell's very informative and useful post here: http://home.comcast.net/~drexxell/eq/planeofsky.html. Sure it is long, complex and dense, but it is almost entirely correct, and Plane of Sky is not a place that is easy to simplfy.

I've looked for this NPC systematically. The reason it is mentioned at all is because an NPC *was* introduced to take a player from PoTranquility to PoHate (and thus avoiding the need for a Wizard). So, naturally, a rumor sprang up which indicated such an NPC *must* exist for PoSky. However it remains an unproven rumor (at least to the point that I can't find such a person in PoK or PoT, nor has it been posted on the 'net that I can google my way to).

Back, and rebuilding, but not posting near as much.
Oh almost forgot...if you have the keys to the islands...DON'T destroy them..you may need for another class. I believe there are potions of 2.0 epic that have to be done there..they have no choice..
1) You need a wizard to get up there
2) You loose all bufs when you zone in on 1st island
3) You cannot leviate
4) You cannot port out or succor or use origin.
Only way to leave island is to jump off.
5) Sirren the Lunatic spawns sometimes but way over peoples heads, therefore unable to do turn-ins to get key for next island. It seems debuffing him makes him come down but yet to be confirmed.
6) You have a limited time to do turn-ins for next key even if there are mobs corpses with the item to turn in. Sirren the Lunatic will despawn. NOw that makes sense..:((
7) You cannot go back to previous island even if you have the key.
8) The keys do not go on your key chain, therefore keep them once you have them unless you are 100% sure you will never go back.
9) Always check that all mobs are there before attempting to bring full groups. It occurred to us as we got to the 4th island that there were not enough mobs to spawn Sirren the Lunatic for turn-ins
10) Prepared for the named mob that spawns Sirren the Lunatic will NOT spawn Sirren.
11) Be prepared to scarifice multiple deaths. Sirren has a nasty habit of spawning on top of the mob you are fighting and he will DT you.
12) Be very careful to hail Sirren the Lunatic or aggro him.. He will DT you.
Now isnt that 12 lousy reasons not to do this epic..:((
Good Luck and if I give up, I will post it..
4)
During the Epic kills and Epic turn in's I have only encountered 2 problems. These 2 problems have been in existence since not long after PoSky came into existence.
a) There can be any number of Roaming Azzuracks(sp) pathing across any island they so choose. During Monk Epic 1.0 pull/fight with Gwan and Azzurack aggro's thus adding aggro to the Blades of Storm from another island.
b) Siran the Lunatic always seems to spawn very high above the boss mob *Keeper of Souls* on the Pegasus island. Once we were able touse Shaman-grow to reach him. Another time we were able to stand under him and look straight up and trade. There was one time nobody could trade key piece ... a Necro took one for the group and casted on him. Siran came down stomped the life out of him ... we Rezz'd him, all did turn in's and we moved on.
Lastly the Epic is a Challenge of knowledge / ability / Team-work. It is not about running tothe Bazaar and buying all of your drops. There are so many lazy people it ain't funny. Why don't you do like my 6 year old ... play Mario after you look up and print out all the cheat codes. Makes it super fun when you know how it ends ... NOT !!
PS: As I have said before feel free to flame, hagger me about my spelling and punctuation or lack of. I really do not carebecause I came ... read ... posted .. and will never see this page again. And if you are one of those lazy people in need of PoSky Epic drops .. just ask in /general channel on Nameless. My bank's (4 boxer) is full of rotting pieces ... always free.

There were some stray bits of code in allegretta's post. Goofy web forum software :)
Isle 1. fairy isle. Has fairy chicks on it. They are a joke. Kill them until everyone has their key bit. Then kill the princess. Not required to kill the entire Isle in order to kill princess or spawn Sirran. Princess is a joke. Ranjaling could tank her.
Isle 2. Azzerak Isle. Aggro. Click in invis and run to the opposite side ashtray (south if I recall) Essentially run the way you are facing when you click up unless you are facing an edge. Drag any agro from dropped invis with you. Kill all the azzeraks. They cast whirlbolt or somesuch on you – makes you spin and levitate but you are NOT stuned. Use page up and page down if you can’t look around with mouse look. They used to be a pain when you got a lot at once – now it just makes clearing the Isle faster. There is ONE azarak that stubbornly refuses to pull – put your pets on it – and they will chase him around – nuke it when he passes it. Oh yah. Apparently BL pets are fixed, necro pets are a wisp – and only mage Air pets work. This mob will Prolly die on the Isle – but sometimes he doesn’t. shrug. Once that dude is dead the boss will pop. Not really harder than the rest of the azzaraks. Each azzarak and the boss drops broken mirrors or somesuch as their key bits. Loot them until Sirran spawns and turn them in when he does. (this Isle might only drop bits for 22 keys)
Isle 3 Gorgo. Not really a hard isle. It is non agro when you zone up although everything up there will assist. Best way to clear this isle is to not whine about rebuffs. Pull the eyeballs to pets and the rest of the isle to the raid and stomp on them. Am considering clearing the Isle in one big train and doing AOE. I need to check - I am thinking Stun didn't work right up here - have to test that out sometime. There are 3 mobs in the middle of the zone that you don’t want to pull until you are ready to spawn Sirran. The middle on is “THE Gorgolask” or some such. Make sure he dies after all other mobs in agro are dead or you get sirran running around aggroing the raid which is a PITA.
Isle 4. Yawn Isle. This Isle is like a mini version of VZ in tactics or more accuratly like the Dust Ring event in plane of Air(pop). There are 6 mobs up here (ok there is a 7th but he is for a lame karena dru/cler Shield quest) each one you kill spawns 2. each of them spawns one when killed (which spawns another maybe - Whichever - Tamer is the last in the chain). So – each mob you pull spawns 4(or 6 I forget) total mobs. You want to kill the first mob and its 4 spawns as FAST AS POSSIBLE. Why? Cause the boss doesn’t spawn for 70 minutes until the first spawn chain is dead so better do that now. Then the raid spends about 10 – 15 minutes killing the rest of the spawn chains. At this time most of the raid can take a 30 minute AFK. Some of the raid will hang out – and do any corpse summons at this point. Any late raiders that don’t have a key set will want to get a ride up to Isle 1 – get a raid invite, die, get a rez – have an SK or Necro summon their body to Isle 4( the one we are on) and take a second rez to catch up to their raid. Yawn after any late raiders are corpse summoned to the raid – the rest of the raid starts to show back up from AFK. 70 minutes or so after you killed the first chain – KoS spawns (Keeper of Souls). He is a 32k hit point mob and DTs every 45 seconds starting with whoever you sent in as a sac. If your raid can’t kill KoS in 44 seconds before a second DT you suck. (DT = death touch. Death touch will kill you. DA/DB/HS bard DA doesn’t protect you. If you send in a pet the owner will get DTed) After you kill KOS you can turn in your bird whistle bit to get your avian key.
Isle 5 Spiroc. Might as well invis – even tho the port up spot is mostly out of agro range – click up. As I recall – you do a 180 and run to the edge. There should be a “slight” slope on the right – park the raid at the corner of the flat spot and that slight edge. You can pull the entire Isle to that spot and not agro SL or GL. Here is the deal with Spiroc Isle. There are 3 groups of mobs. They are all agro tethered to their Spiroc Vanquisher. A clever monk or bard or SK or necro I guess can single pull groups of spirocs(group = vanquisher and 3- 4 spiroc buddys). You can spend some time trying to split the groups. I don’t think I will waste time on this anymore. Tank and tank each vanquisher you get. AOE stun then Mez the remaining spirocs that came into camp. Kill all the vanquishers in camp first then kill the rest. IF – IF you accidently get the Spiroc lord (unlikely if you have only one puller) or the SPiroc Guardian in your camp. Kill them first. SL first as he is a death toucher. Make sure you NEVER kill the Spiroc Guardian no matter what when he is in camp unless there is at least one other spiroc alive. If you do you won’t get to farm SL for Spiroc wingblades. So anyhow – say that SG was aggroed --- kill him – and make sure to leave a spiroc alive. If he was in camp - mez the heck out of him – and memblur him until there is no tomorrow – move the raid away from the spiroc – and invis up. Dedicate a chanter to remez – memblur --- memblur – and invis up and see if clear of agro. If clear – wait for him to path away when mez breaks – SG will respawn.
[ if you never aggroed the SG you can ignore all the discussion about membluring the last spiroc etc. Just leave SG up if you nbever aggro him and clear the rest of the Isle.]
Pull and kill that spiroc that was just memblured. Move raid towards the SL spawn a bit but not far. Send in your DT sac to SL and then pull him. Kill Sirran spawns – everyone turns in their key bits and gets their key. Move the raid in the last valley before SL’s spawn point on the pad to Isle 6 There will be some nice Spiroc houses there. Chill. Leave one person to chain hail Sirran. This “should” keep him from despawning unless he is bugged. Now – you chain sac your DT sac on SL and pull him and kill him – until everyone at the raid has their Spiroc wingblade looted from his bloody corpse plus 1 – 5 MQs so your guild doesn’t have to come up to this damn isle again. When you are satisfied that your DT sac has Deleveled enough – stop chain hailing Sirran. Pull SG and kill him – then charge and kill SL. Raid invis up for next isle.
http://www.tribalfury.org
(the bzzazzt write up was copy pasted from someones sorry for no credit)
When the left Bzzazzt is slain he will immediately spawn a Bazzazzt (tougher then the Bzzazzt). When that is slain it will split into two Bazzazzt. When each is slain they will split into another Bazzazzt.
When the right Bzzazzt is slain he will immediately spawn three Bazzazzts.
When the center one is slain he will spawn a Bazzazzt, then a Bzzt, then Bazzt Zzzt the boss (who DTs)
The way you clear this isle – is you mez( thinking of charming one some time) the middle and right wasps. On the mez of the right and center – the MT simultaneously aggros the left wasp kills – the chain spawns two typically (this is sony guys) same style fight as Isle 4 kill them all. When done. Break mez and aggro the wasp that was originially the one on the right. Make sure that you keep a chanter and an alt mezzer on that other wasp in case the chanter goes down. You do NOT want to kill what was originally the center wasp 2nd. Center wasp MUST be the third one – or you will get an aggro Sirran which you remember is a PITA. After the wing wasps and their chains are done – kill what was originally the center wasp and all her spawns – and you get the DT boss. Spank her. Rez up the DTs – and everyone turns in their bits for their key.
Put someone on chain hails – prolly a box – in order to farm Isle 7 for shaman FD ring bit. (note Sirran can be bugged. if he doesn't respond to hails it might be because he was aggroed or whatever. regardless if he doesn't respond to hails he prolly wont' reply to the phrase that pays either - and you will have to do sister some other day)
Isle 7 Drake Isle: pita to split. The drakes fly away from pulls and thru the aggro range of the sphinxs which can start a DT chain of events that bites. Spend some time watching the drakes pattern of flying and pull them when they round the “corner” in their flight path – make sure the puller is AT the corner in order to get the cleanest pulls. SKs make the best pullers here cause they can z axis pull and then FD if the drake flys away – and you can send in your next SK or necro – while the SK waits for aggro to clear. Anyhow – painfully pull all of the drakes until dead. Then kill the sphinxes once at a time. THEY DT – so have your DT sac up there. Only 8 Sphinxes as I recall – so you don’t need to use a DT sac here – you can just cycle thru your raid whoever is low on buffs and mana anyways. Once they are dead – pull and kill the udinine spirits or whatever (will-o-wisp – dealos in the tower mid zone.
Painful aside – you can skip below this paragraph if you don’t care about mage epic: Ok – mage hats. I have cleared this Isle and seen NO MAGE crowns. Contrary to theory posted elsewhere – you can get a fully spawned Isle 7 and no crowns. I have personally seen it. I have also got 6 crowns in one clearing. We cleared 7 one night and logged back on the next day – and sniped the drakes as they were spawning (Isle 7 is a 24 hour spawn) I “think” that there is some formula that affects crowns being on the mobs on this Isle. Each mob that spawns “might” do a loot check to see if a crown is present – and then gets a chance of having a crown. So 2 scenarios. If you clear all the isle except for say the udinine spirits and they didn’t have any crowns – the next time the isle spawns it might only have 2 crowns. Then you clear the isle except for the sphinxes and they randomly didn’t have any crowns. The next night your farming team clears only half the drakes and get 2 crowns and call it a day – when the isle respawns it has been partially cleared several nights – and each time less mobs spawning with the crown. Scenario 2 – the one where we killed everything as it poped. The odds of the crown being on each spawn increased as their were less mobs left to spawn. Or that could all be bullsh*t – and it is totally random and we got lucky one day and got 6 crowns.
http://www.tribalfury.org
After you have cleared the isle – remember the box you left chain hailing Sirran on the other isle? You now have that box tell sirran The phrase
aka: Am I one with the wall?
Then continue chain hailing. The raid smokes the Sister of the Spire until you get several “a Spiritualist's Ring” in order to do the shammy FD quest.
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=479
the other drop is off the bixie boss. Seen this drop twice.
Each time you kill the sister – have the box on Isle 6 say the phrase that pays and the sister should respawn. This can get fuxored up if the Sirran despawns on Isle 6. never tried to say the phrase that pays to another version of Sirran and doubt it would work.
Decide when you are done farming the Sister. And say the phrase one last time and stop hailing. Wait until sirran despawns and then kill Sister – Sirran spawns on Isle 7 after next Sister kill. Everyone turns in their bits and gets key to Isle 8 – Veeshan’s

Noble isle. Everyone click up to Noble with their key of swords. Ok --- there are 2 bladestorms here and a noble. Kill them . the quest chick may aggro – kill her too. Once noble is dead – invis everyone up (azaraks have respawned) click their way to Isle 4 (griff/peg) kill the Overseer there. (he spawns after you kill the noble. He death touches. After he is dead – hand spawns. Have everyone click up to 8 and sack the Hand. Sky is beaten.
I didn't address quests much here. Most of the quests in Sky are for outdated stuff - you can't even give away MQs to level 46s on. Mostly peeps just don't want that low stat garb. There are a few notable exceptions.
There is a shaman only 2 charge(rechargeble) FD ring that can be quested here.
Necro, ranger, warrior, SK and mages all have drops for their Kunark epic here.
There is some quested earing for rangers with a clicky 105 damage nuke here from the top two isles.
There are class haste belts hereboth droped for 15/21 % haste and quested 41% haste - that are bad by today standards specially if you got a fabled haste belt or better.
There is a quested clicky usable by all classes ranger only cloak that can be quested here. clicky 50% haste. lasts 18 seconds. can be clicked by all classes from the inventory. TF has produced about 5 of these - I have one in my inventory - hardly ever use it. ussually have a shaman or a chanter around to buff me but rarely I duo/solo so...
There is this quested Ranger only bow that can be quested on this zone - that no one I know has and it used to be the best bow in the game until Velious came out - it is pretty poor by todays standards. Since Velious came out the same month Vazaelle was released - it is obvious why no one on my server is likely to have one.
There are a variety of clicky toys from here - but lame by todays standards. for example there is a rogue only clicky mask for invis. I will have to check to see if that is clicky from inventory - maybe MQ it to one of my clerics.

These days it's really not that hard: last time we had three groups of 55+ and got to the Pegasus Isle in about three hours... and a fair amount of that time was spent faffing around rather than fighting :).
We have not high level wizzy's in our guild yet and several of us will need to visit this plane for epic turn-in soon (I hope).
Thanks in advance for any help.
Brislebane server
Be geesh, its only a level 46 spell I think. You don't have a 46+ wizard?
Its safe to zone in, so hail any 46+ wizzy and hand him a stone, he has no reason to say no and you ought to tip him anyway.
The stone's 105pp with good faction and takes a group up.

Actually, they do: all buffs are stripped on zoning into Sky, which is why most Wizards you meet in PoK won't take you there. Last time I went I had to pay 500pp (plus the stone) to get a wizard to port me, and still took the best part of an hour to find one.
1) Is it true that I can bypass Noble Isle by buying the key for Azerack Isle from the key master? Which portal takes my group to Azerack Isle from Fairie Isle?
2) How does the 80 min timers work for the "Bosses" who spawn Sirren? Do they start on very first kill on the respective islands or from just arriving onto the islands? Do the Islands have to be clear to have the "Bosses" spawn?
3) I need the Isle that a "watchful guardian" is on, by what i can tell he should be on Gorgalask Isle, can any confirm this?
4) Which Isle does Gzzl, my final turn in mob appear on? Is he still on the 40 min timer?
5) Does Sirran ever despawn w/o a key being turned in? As i see we might be on some of these Isles for a few attempts for the drops and I dont want to have the Isles repop and Sirren still be sitting there to wipe us out.
Any info will help and I check this post daily. TY in advance =)

It's not a bad walkthrough, it was copied from 2 great Sky walkthrus who's webpages were taken down a couple of years ago.
To help answer some of your questions tho:
1) You can either buy a key on the first isle or kill the mobs to get keys.
2) Once the "boss" is spawned, you have a set amount of time to kill them to spawn Sirren or they despawn.
3) Not sure, when I cleared PoA it was a long time ago.
4) Not sure.
5) Sirran DOES despawn (think he's on a 20 or 30min timer)
The most important things to remember in Sky are:
DO NOT USE SAY - Sirran will attack anyone who uses say
DO NOT USE AE EFFECTS - You will aggro mobs from other isles (think the most I saw was 3 other isles coming in when someone AEd a stun)
DO NOT SPAWN SIRRAN UNTIL YOU ARE READY - He assists and once he's aggroed, you can't turn in for a key
Bzzzat Isle was the worst part I can remember, but the walkthru covers the tactics for it. And when I cleared Sky, our highest guild member was 60 so it's much easier (single groupable) for 70s. There are some mobs that DT, so if you have to clear them remember to bring canon fodder (ie Rangers)
*WARNING*
There can be land below you. i.e. One of the Islands.
I managed a pretty good swan dive right into the rockface and died.
My suggestion to everyone is look before you leap.

The general pattern for each isle is to clear the "standard" MOBs, collecting key parts, then kill the boss. When the boss dies, a halfling NPC named "Sirran the Lunatic" spawns. You hail him (and should chain hail him until complete) and every person turns in the key parts to obtain their key.
It has been mentioned that you should NOT /SAY anything to him, even though there are [hints] in his responses for followup. Conversation beyond hailing typically results in a "LOADING, PLEASE WAIT..." message.
What has NOT been mentioned is how Sirran the Lunatic aggros. He seems awfully like the druids at various circles around Norrath... He does not like it when you beat on the local fauna.
Our puller pulled the Gorgolask (named boss) and another MOB at the same time. We had 3 groups, average level 61, pretty heavy in the casting department...
As the well-trained unit we are, we, of course, concentrated our efforts on the named first, off-tanking the add with pets to keep it busy. WRONG.
Boss (Gorgolask) died, Sirran the Lunatic spawned and went on a rampage, killing each member of the raid one at a time. For the record, he quads for about 1200 and moves FAST.
BOttom line, you CAN kill the boss safely on some islands without clearing the island first. However, when you DO kill the boss to spawn the halfling, make SURE that you are not currently aggro'd on anything else or you will get slammed hard. I do not know if having an add mezzed will piss him off, but we will not try. We'll hold the boss and kill the add(s) first in the future.

The Stone of Vesheen is sold in Erudin Library from wizard spell merchant, costs about 120pp to me.
Keys are NOT, repeat, NOT no-rent. You can save them for subsequent trips.
You need a wizard to port you up, and one stone per group to go. When you port up all buffs will be whiped out. On the plane there is no levitating, and mages can only summon air pets. You can not gate out, and to get out of the zone, just fall off an island. It should be noted if you die while falling (say from a DoT or spell) your body goes back to where you last had contact with ground.
When you zone up you are on the Faery Island. Got some faeries here, and a Faery Princes. Also, the the Key Master. He sells keys for the Azarack Island. We skipped killing stupid faeries and the Dojorn and spent the 200pp to buy the Key of the Misplaced (black horn shaped key). Use this Key to go to the Azarack Island. Each person must have their very own key, that is every single group member, to progress through the portal. Have key in hand, click the portal, and POOF!
The Azarack Island (2nd): This island is a little bit of a task since you get no chance to warm up so to say. Jump right into agro city. Everytime there has been a flying imp right at the port in and we have to fight immediately. With four groups these were an EASY kill. You may lose a person or two, but a quick rez and you good to go. There is 9 azaracks, one of which is the PH for the Protector of Sky. Another easy kill. Watch out for their nasty whirl stun, and it can knock you off the edge of the island and out of the zone. Just avoid the edges all together. Make sure you bring the Prot. of Sky down to ground level, for when he dies Sirran the Lunatic spawns in his place. Each azarack drops 2 broken mirrors, and the protector drops 6 (24 pieces total.. meaning only enough for 4 groups). If you have more than 24 people, this can be a problem. However, there is a way to get people to higher islands without them having a key. The abilty to master and manipulate a dead body by two classes can help (won't say more than that as they may nerf it... figure it out!)Turn in one broken mirror to Sirran and get a Key of Misfortune (a shell looking key). These don't see invisibility!
Gorgalosk Island (3rd): This island has NO agro unless you attack something. Inside the Central Castle is the islands mini-boss Gorgalosk. We pulled the mobs on the island down to the portal to the next island facing opposite the entrance to the castle. We learned a lot of valuable information here. Everything assists everything. Pull the fringes of the island first. Each mob has a nasty AOE dispel, we kept the casters at a safe distance to prevent KEI-stripping. When it gets to the castle you can pacify the mobs. Pacify ALL of them before a pull if you can. Or they will all agro. Save the Gorgalosk for last to spawn Sirran. Each mob holds an animal figurine and you turn this in to get the Key of Beasts (looks like a card). There is about 30 keys kibbles on this island, enough for five full groups when we did it.
Pegasus Isle (4th): This island is again a no agro island, unless you create it, which is nice. There are flying pegasi and sphinxes. Also, not to forget the Gate Caller. Each pegasi and sphinx when killed splits like this: You kill the one and two appear. These two split mobs each reproduce one more each when killed. Basically, each mob is a 5 in 1 deal! 1/2/2 spread. The first mob to drop drops bird whistles ( I think, 6 each, but enough are on the island for 5 groups to continue). Kill the Gate Keeper to spawn Collector of Souls. We had to wait a bit for him to pop. Rumor has it after the first kill on this island an 80 minute timer begins, after 80 minutes expire so pops the Collector of Souls. This toon is a mean bugger. Has a 20000 (twenty-thousand) point nuke every thirty seconds. We had a contingency of mages and stunners in our raids and beyond the first one getting off (which killed our MT) never got another one off. THis one does not split, and gives you Sirran for the turn in. You obtain an Avian Key (which looks like a red and purple feather).
Spiroc Island (5th): This island has ruined two attempts to pass it. Both mostly due to time constraints getting this far (took us about 5 hours to get this far, as we were being careful). This is how we believe it is done from the many guides we have seen (your imput would be welcomed if it is different). There are 3 vanquishers tied to two various spirocs, one guardian, and one lord on the island. You must kill the vanquisher first before you can kill the goons he is tied with or the two various will instantly re-pop. Once the vanquishers are down you can kill its buddies. Once they are down you may kill the Guardian, then the Lord. I did a lot of watching on this island and did a lot of testing, it is impossible I think to pull just a vanquisher. You will get his friends. We could use help on this if you have other information please let us know. We wiped twice on this island due to bad pulls. Anyhow you need to collect noise makers from the birds. Dropped by vanquishers.
I have not progressed farther than this, but I am working on it. I hope this helps other mages out to get that crown on the, in my opinion, elusive seventh isle. If you are on the seventh hammer server keep an eye on 7th Hammer Alliance board or the Silent Honor's forum where I post my raids to this plane:

Good luck to you mages on getting this crown and epic, it definately is E P I C!

Had our ranger pull all three snare and root one and melee it till he died, other two wonder on back (they have a ridulously long aggro range.. count to 20) then raid attacked the one that was snared. This is where it went bad had our MA die so we pretty much scrambled for a few.... lost another eventually i got aggro (54 War 6k hp 1150 ac) Held on for a good few minutes too till our cleric started getting aggro. Cleric died whole raid wiped.. Ill be back tomorrow
oh ya if anyone from 7th wants to do this pst to me or leave me a in game E-mail.. I still havent gotten my Wingblade

I recently just noticed that druid items have had beastlords added to them on the allakhazam listings but I wanted to cofirm it in actual game before I go and add that as an incentive for people to join my raids every week into Plane of Sky.

there going to be deaths in sky...fact of life..20k DT's and bad pulls are going to happen.
the question about the third isle for the quest turn ins...well....my ranger haste item turn in was right in the quest room...hailed the npc got the book read it and turned it back into him...he despawned and another npc spawned in which i turned my pieces in to and i had my item.
i believe the quest room is part of the third isle.
Our strategy:
On first island, buy Key of Misplaced. Use it to gain entrance to Azarak island. Be invised when you do this. Head to soutern part of island get up pets and wait for a wandering Azarack to engage. Enchanter should be ready to mez adds. These will die relativly quickly. It helps to have runes up on all before heading in. Once 8 wandering azaracks are dead, pull the protector of the sky (named azarack) His is difficult to aggro sometimes (he just sits in the air and doesn't not come) Enchanter had to charm him to get him in melee range. It is very important that you don't kill him while he is high in the air because Sirran will spawn where he dies and if he's above ground, you won't be able to give him the broken mirrors that you looted from earlier azaracks to get the key to the next island. Once you kill the protector, do you hand ins to Sirran, get your key and click with it on portal to Gorgalask island.
Gorgalask Island -
There are probably 12-15 wanderers on this island. You can pull them in ones and twos pretty easily. Be careful of the eye mobs. These will dispell four slots. It is somewhat unavoidable but try to nuke them down as fast as possible. Once all wanderers are dead, you'll prolly have three nameds in castle in the middle and perhaps a couple lesser mobs in the back. Here's what we did and it worked beautifully. You need to kill Gorgalask (capital "G") to get Sirran to spawn on this island. We had the necro pull all three nameds out of the temple. The warrior followed and once necro was well clear of the temple, he FD'ed and warrior began hailing Gorgalask. He will stop his return to the temple and talked to the warrior. The necro /q'ed and cleared aggro. We waited for him, then beat him down quite easliy. We handed him the animal figurines we looted from the other mobs and got the key to the Pegasus island (Ranger epic). Will post more about this island later. Hope this helps.

Make a mental adjustment for the odd numbering of the islands as the follow up post suggested.

We had our Wiz port us to the main island (I guess thats what I would call it). We purchased all 3 keys available from the key master since we were unsure of which one to use. This cost around 320 pp per person. We found the one to get to the first island was the Key of Misplaced (or something like that...forgive me, i might be slightly wrong on the name but the other keys were called something entirely different)
To enter the island you just have the key in had and click on the portal anywhere. This was one of the main reasons we wiped out in a matter of a few seconds because we did not know what key and how to use it so we entered the island sporatically instead of together. The Azaracks aggro covered some distance and they all came at us. This was with 2 full groups.
We returned, summoned corpses, and rezzed. A note came out saying the server was going to be brought down so we ended our raid.
We returned some hours later with a greater force..3.5 groups. We entered the island again ..this time in groups. Unfortunately, there were no mobs up yet. we waited for quiet some time and finally called the raid. After about half the raid leaped off the island..POP!
One Azarack popped on the hill closest to the portal. We killed it with ease. I am not sure if the Protector of the Sky spawned because of the kill or if it was due to a timer but he popped. He spawns in the air above the area that you first zone onto the island. He does, in fact, not come after you until you have created some damage on him. He was killed fairly easily.
After less than a minute, Sirran the lunatic spawned over his corpse. You are not suppose to /say or /hail anything or it will set him off. After a few minutes two more Azaracks spawned on top of the same place as the first did.
They popped at the same time. They aggro immediately and once you engage into battle it triggers Sirran to attack you. He does hit for 2000hps and killed most everyone in a matter of seconds.
We returned, summoned corpses, and rezzed. We were not kos on the main island as some of the posts suggest..maybe this was fixed.
Now, I am hoping that someone with true experience on this island can assist with some information. We are planning to do this again and have decided we should not kill the Protector until the rest of the spawns are dead.
It would be nice to hear some more stategies on this before our next attempt. Also, was wondering if they fixed the spawn problem on the last Azarack that wouldnt spawn.
How many HP does Sirran have? since he hits for 2000hp..how do you survive? How do you keep the protector off of you until last since the mobs are not suppose to mez well...maybe root??
appreciate the advise

If you happen to go to first isle, and someone AEs, the quest mobs will aggro. Don't kill them. One raid killed one quest mob, and anyone that assisted became instant KoS to sky mobs, including Sirran. This meant those people were not able to get any keys, not able to do any quests, and not even able to port up for a CR. We had to go to the quest room, talk to all the NPCs to despawn them before we could finally get the KoS people rezzed up without getting them killed again. There is no way to fix the faction short of /petitioning and hoping for a kind GM.
Can this group make it OK? If not, who would you add? Or does this really require a full raid.
This group is fine with VSR and the Hole.

It would certainly be interesting to give it a shot, but I'd only do it if you had a cleric/wizzy combo willing to come up and rezz you if it doesn't work out. You'll also want coffins for the necro if you fail, as you don't want to do the rezzing where you died.
As for the mobs on the forth island, they are non-aggro and you don't need to kill them for the turn-in, so I wouldn't worry about them too much. When you're ready for turn-in, have everyone else leave, so that there are no aggro issues with the turn-in mob.
If you do try it, post back here and let us know how the crowd control efforts on Azerack island went. :)

First off u need a wizard to port ur group in...
secondly if things go bad u don't have a cleric to rez...
third if u wipe...you'll need to get a cleric to rez u and a wizard to port u all back just for the rez. I highly doubt you'll be able to get past 3rd Island. The Noble Dojorn will drop u pretty dayam fast IMO. Your putting a lot of pressure on your lvl 53 tank. On the forth island, 1 Griffon or Pegasus there = 5 mobs eventually. But who knows...anythings possible -=D
If u were serious about doing PoA with one group I'd recommend at Least a full group of 60's at least. 2 good groups Can handle it..but i'd still recommend having a camp out cleric for each island just in case of a wipe.
