Bloodmoon Keep was once the elven holy site known as Faygannen, Temple of the Vines. Decades ago the vampire prince Mayong Mistmoore grew worried at the proximity of the holy site to Castle Mistmoore. He sent his forces to destroy the temple and cover it in a dark curse, trapping the spirits of the slain elves in the halls of the castle. For many years the elven ghosts suffered in silence, unable to pass into the Realm of Growth and the presence of Tunare. Now, with the arrival of Ralkor Bloodmoon, the desolate spirits of Faygannen find themselves twice cursed.

Once the Prophet of Clan Crushbone, Ralkor Bloodmoon failed in a foolish coup to overthrow Emperor Crush. Bloodmoon barely escaped with his life and a small band of loyal orcs into the wilds of the Faydark. Somewhere between the Crushbone court and Faygannen, the Bloodmoon tribe was overtaken by a dark curse and infused with terrible, feral might. The Fangbreakers, a society of werewolf hunters, has begun to investigate the source of their new vigor, but have so far had little success.

I visited this now as a lvl 120 druid doing the achievements and, like many other zones, feel sad for not visiting it in it's glory.

It's one of the few zones that makes me feel like I'm in a real adventure and I wonder at the times past when groups held certain room and corridors.

I now pull almost the entire zone and have my merc beat them down, but it still feels like a magical place and one of my favourite zones in EQ.

We spent about 6 hours in a nice little corner of the zone. Spawned the Warden in the room 6 times for a total of 5 BP's and one charm. Nice camp. Spawn time in the zone is less than the 20 mins we are all used to, so a VERY good group with COA minimum and Demiplane preferred gear is mandatory to stay alive. Due tothe respawn being shorter than 20 mins, getting in any deeper than the zone in is very difficult for most. to get to the camp we took, we had to nonstop kill for about 45 mins, with 1-2 locked down by the chanter at all times. Most groups will not survive this type of mana drain.

Also. We found that the new "perfect invisability" is used by mobs in the zone. In other words, you might count 2 in a room to find outthere are 4-6.

Good Luck.

The overall looks of this zone kind of put me in mind of veksar. The whole indoor ruins bit. Pretty nice.
NICE!

NICE! Zone looks nice. Can be soloed most mobs do NOT! summon. The nameds do summon. I am in a group with a 76 enchanter 76 cleric and 76 pally were taking 1 at a time. I agree that this could win the "Karnors Award" But i also nominate Halls of Honor at peak time. 40 players in the zone taking up every single square inch of the place. Trains all over and groups killing at the zone in

I nominate this zone for the "Karnors Award", awarded to zones where groups routinely fight at---and train---the zone-in.

This may be reassessed once players learn the zone and discover safe spots---assuming there even are any---further into the various rooms and tunnels.
