Zhisza is a Sanctuary built for the Shissar by the Combine Loyalists. With a warm, humid atmosphere, it consists of a thick jungle with several clearings, tents, and bodies of water. Along the northern boundary of the jungle is a giant pyramid home to some of the strongest of the Shissar.

The Shissar are quite angry with the Combine Loyalists and are not as welcoming to visitors as the Sphinx are. Although they do manage to co-exist with several other creatures; namely the beetles, insects, snakes, and gorillas found throughout their sanctuary.

Visitors are advised to take caution while traveling through Zhisza. If possible, avoid detection by the Shissar, or else be prepared for battle.

Make SURE you are in Katta Castrum, NOT Katta Castrum Deluge! You will not make it to Zhisza from Deluge.

In Katta, I found it easiest to go out the south gate to go to the NW corner.

It's actually not to bad to get here. Everquest is about exploring. Just get to Katta Kastrum, go to the NW part of the zone, and it's slightly NE of this building that has a lot of serpernts around it. It's the teleport around that, but it's the portal on the far NW.

I find it amazing that all of these comments from 2011 are still completely valid. This zone is still a hot zone. It's still nearly impossible to get to. It's still horribly laid out and Katta Castrum is even worse. Don't developers ever look at these comments? Don't the product managers have any pride in their work at all? They could at least remove the ridiculous maze you have to run through to get through Katta Castrum by opening up those annoying walls.

i totally agree with you .. my brother and i wasted 1 1/2 hours trying to get to the hotzone.. noone in general or guild could help find it.. CUT HOLES IN THE WALLS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!! make it easier to get to damn.

This zone is a steaming pile, no wonder nobody bothers with going here. First off it's a pita to get to and then entirely disappointing once you do. Stupid layout, pathing issues, no reasonable place/places to 'camp', etc. all contribute to this being a total waste of time. Is there some reason that the worst zones in the game get designated as hot-zones?

I've found that the all the insects and gorillas aggro together and the Shissar and Golems aggro together, but they don't cross-aggro. There are a lot more insects, especially in the entrance area. Just wanted to pass that along.

As I level 80 ench I killed maybe 3 mobs, and died twice in about 30 minutes all told in the zone. 1st time w/ a warr merc, 2nd with 76 ranger and 2 warr mercs. Here's what I learned.

a) Zone in is not safe - must invis before!
b) Zone out is atop a tiny pyramid thing, close to zone in (only 1 out)
c) Map is a circle of winding narrow road that links the mission spots. Very hard to target mobs from a distance even in the relatively open areas.
d) The bugs remain indifferent, they never attack.
e) The Pain golems see invis, nothing else seems to
f) If it's not a bug it aggro's , medium aggro range
g) The other mobs are shissar (ssra), gorillas and golems
h) Shissar all summon
i) I could not find a safe place to pull, plenty of adds, and see invis golems.
j) High spells resists on Shissar, use malo etc.
k) 1 single shissar chewed through my well buffed lvl 80 T1 merc (reliance, haste unity etc). While shissar was slowed, dotted & weakend it took merc down to 30%, and that was w/ my charmed shissar assisting.
l) At 80 the mobs were all dark blue
m) Shissar can quad for 1,800 and usually hit for 300 - 400, blazing fast even slowed.
n) It will not be possible to FD pull, space is too tight, and too many wandering mobs (all the mobs seem to be wandering)
o) Shissar break charm badly, even w/ charm aa's, and tash.
p) Drops elaborate defiant and a couple plat.

Suggestion: Don't go here unless you are at in a group that's 76+. I think 3 lvl 80's would do okay with mercs if they have crowd control (mez), and a healer. Kiting and FD pulling are out.

Where in Katta Castrum is the zone in for this zone? Now that it is a hot zone, I wanted to check it out. Katta Castrum is so large though with way too many dead ends.

Just west of the far north point in the zone. Either start high on the temple and levi over the wall, or go around). Or do the portals quest chain.
