Ashengate, Reliquary of the Scale  

Ashengate serves as a reliquary for the preservation of one of Veeshan's crystalline scales. It was once part of the Nest in the dragon Broodlands, but is now located in one of the highest points of the Direwind Cliffs. Long ago, Solusek Ro unleashed his jealous-fueled wrath against the Elddar elves, drying their city out in the burning sun. He did this by arching the Serpent's Spine Mountains in such a way that caused Ashengate to shift far up and away from the Nest. Lethar, one of the Guardians of the Scale, survived the violent land shift and became determined to hoard the scale for himself, something he accomplished through treachery and deceit. He had a son named Dyn'leth, a creation of elf-dragon blood. Dyn'leth was created to do his father's bidding, but it wasn't long before he developed a lust for his own power...
