The weapon is on par with Redfang in DemiPlane of Blood, so I would imagine its not suppose to be an easy event.
As for farm status.. anything can be on farm status, depending on the guild and its direction.

This mission feels as though it was supposed to be part of progression but was left out. Its a long clear and a long, frustrating, difficult fight. Not my idea of a farm event .... I'd leave this one alone unless you just want to kill every raid instance once.

only manage to get 2 completed in this task, and was wondering what the reward was if done [hard task]. i am sure it is worth it. but would like to know.

Appears to be an instance only. Reached from the back of an enormous tree in Elddar forest. We got a mission from near the zone in called Investigating the Elddar. Hard was fun with priests hitting for 2k. The zone is basically the hollowed center of a tree with a huge winding spiral ramp up and mobs at regular levels.
