Hidden in the bowels of Broken Skull Rock lies the Crypt of Nadox. The tomb of the ancient Troll shaman Nadox is hidden within these caverns bearing his name. Filled with various shrines and temples to honor the god of the Broken Skull Clan, the crypt is a dangerous place to any who venture there. Only the most powerful of the clan are allowed into the crypt, and they guard the area with fierce devotion.

I have been hunting here from mid level 50's till level 60/61 and a lot of AA points.

When you swim into zone through lava and reach the bridge you can see it points right, this is the diraction to go to reach the Tordigan Mines zone in and a bunch of 43 level guys in Crypt that could be eaisly done by anyone looking for a low easy camp, or you follow the bridge left. As you leave the end of the bridge you see a tunnel in front of you... only one going forward rest go of in other directions... and down a bit. Sneak down tunnel using invisibility, straight across through first room full of Luggalds and into another tunnel.. STOP. This is a safe camp spot. The Luggalds can be pulled down into this tunnel but probably need spawns breaking for safety if a low solo. Unless your careless worst you would get is a three pull.

The room below this is Undead and the highest level stuff with decent respawn in zone. So pull up from undead room and down from Luggalds.
Undead have 13 static spawns with three groups of two a bit challenging to seperate. 7 in the room and two groups of three down some stairs leading out of the room. the stairs lead to the Maidens Fury zone if you can fight through docks.

I fought here with a mini group of my own characters being Botted and a few mercenary support.
Ranger, Beastlord, Enchanter, Merc Tank, Merc. Cleric, final spot was from my original account and was either a lower level mage, necro, cleric or druid.
I used alt tab to move between accounts and had a few simple macros.. assist puller ( ranger), enchanter tashed to reduce resists, beastlord threw in slow.
It got pretty easy once I had worked it out and I did a lot of language skill practise here as well ( as a charm dropped that improved based on languages known) - if you are grouped 9 even if just with merc) you can teach yourself a language and don't need to zone to update it. I got all characters to about 20 of the 27 languages available.

In about 15 hrs played I got all to about level 60 and a lot of AA points ( Ranger got to 100 AA point's here )

Leveling slowed after level 60 but was steady. AA's was great although lowest undead began to turn light blue.
Undead rage from 54 to 58.. no casters... no runners.
Luggalds mainly low 50's and some casters but low hit rate with spells.

Loot : Cash just so Merc's didnt get unhappy. Some intricate and lower armour drops. Nice gems mainly - up to black Saphires, enough to keep up with spells for four accounts and mercs and to buy cheap otions that came up in bazaar as upgrades.

The Broken Skull Adherants and Dulein Gedasai warp back to their spawn spot when they get down to around 25% or so, which is a real pain when you are low on mana and just casted a nuke to kill and poof.....

So be warned, dot them with fresh dots around 30% and have the nukes unload on them right afterwards.

HELLO EVERYONE, PARDON ME FOR ASKING POSSIBLE A DUMB QUESTION BUT I STARTED HUNTING ZONE WHEN I WAS 48 SEASON DRUID. I HAD NO PROBLEMS HUNTING MOST CLOSE TO MAIN BRIDGE AND EITHER EXITS TO HARBOR ZONE WAS EITHER BLUE OR WHITE, I COULD SOLO ONE ON ONE EASY. WITH PLENTY MANA TO SPARE. MY QUESTION IS WHY WOULD PLAYERS IN THEIR 50'S WANT TO GROUP AND HUNT SAME AREA? SEEMS TO BE A WASTE OF THEIR TIME CONSIDERING OTHER ZONES MAYBE STILL HOT ZONES BETTER SUITED FOR THEM. I DID A WHO AND EVERYONE WAS AT LEAST 52 LEVEL MANY CLOSER TO 60? I JUST GAVE UP AND WENT ELSE WHERE. I CANT'T HUNT WITH SO MANY AND GROUPING IS A WASTE OF TIME. I HAVE ALMOST ZERO DOWN TIME AS IT IS. JUST WONDERING WHY . IF I COULD ID HUNT NEXT HOT ZONE BUT TO LOW. ILL HUNT PLANES FOR KNOW . HAVE A GREAT DAY ALL . DRAGONS

I took my 55 Ranger, boxed 55 Shaman along with a couple friends with their level 51 Pally and level 52 SK into the Nautalus room to hunt. Within a short time (we were on for maybe 2 hours), the Pally and SK dinged their levels. We have been doing that for the past 2-3 weeks at a couple hours at a time, 2-3 times during the week. My ranger and shammy are now 59 and the Pally and SK are 55-56. So, grouping is not a waste of time for a 48 Druid in this zone. In fact, you'll probably go up much quicker than you would going solo. We might go up faster elsewhere, but we are able to pull very steadily, safely and with very little downtime. For us part-timers, it's a great area.

As you may learn latter grasshopper....when you want to farm AA's, heading to a zone with Lt blues and AA's on 100%, you rack them up fast, since it takes less time and less mana to kill, you can kill five or six mobs before a med (solo'n), and make twice as much xp towards your AA's then if you went to the next level hot zone and tried to kill the blues there in the same amount of time.

My personal experience, when grouped and farming AA's, they take a lot longer to get than if you go solo in a lower level HZ with Lt Blues.

Also, some zones you need to farm dropped items for trade skills, so as frustrating as it may seem, wait till you start working on your trade skills.

I was there with a guildie yesterday, My 56 berserker and he being a 61 Mage.

We were hunting on the west side of the Bridge. Mobs were light blue and some dark blue to my berserker.

solo mobs were ok but when we had 2 it was dicey. I can snare but have no root, and even if I had the mages nukes would break it. We got a bunch of adds and finally died. I think we had a pull and some repops on top of it.

They smack pretty good and neither of us was a healer although I had potions. A druid is just a good class to play at these levels. You can play here at that level, and some of us can't.

Yes, you can solo some mobs at level 48 in the crypt, but, further into the the zone the mobs increase in level(up to level 60,not including raid mobs) and you have a more likelihood of pulling multiple mobs. So, yes you can pull some mobs near the bridge at level 48, but try going deeper with a group to find the more powerful mobs(and possibly better exp)

What you're hearing as "should of" is the contraction "should've", which IS "should have"... and please don't say that you never use contractions... everyone does... in fact, I bet you use this same contraction several times a day... yet another case of whining about something other people do, when you do the very same thing yourself... this isn't a pet peeve... it's selective hearing and intolerance...

and as for the post before this complaining about people saying "luggard" instead of "luggald", well, I don't know what illiterate server you come from, but I have *never* seen anyone call these things "luggards"... never...

OK, here's a couple more that drive me nuts:

Ruined instead of Runed

Principle instead of Principal

You'd think people would get these right 50% of the time even if they're guessing, but Nooooo, in EQ we're way below 50% accuracy.

I was making my way to Hate's Fury, a new zone to me, and got up to the bridge over the lava. Here i refreshed my invis and started heading down the path to the left after the bridge heading to hates fury. At the bottom of the tunnel there were to trolls who i noticed were undead. I backed up a bit then all of the sudden one walked up on me and started beatin my skull in.

Luckily my channeling skill is really good and got my gate off in the second try.

Just a note for all of you..when headin towards HF watch for undead trolls.

After you pass the Luggalds, you can invis vs undead most of the way without trouble to hate's fury. Only problem is there is a single living mob at the start of the bridge to hate's fury. Eathier sneak past it or try to stay out of agro range.

The Crypt is listed as an experience hotspot for levels 50-55.

In reading the below posts, it seems it might be too difficult for a lower 50s group - certainly for a 50 to solo.

Is this interpretation correct?

I would have to agree with your impression. I noted the experience hotspot as well and took my twinked 51 Ranger there, was working the boats in the Harbor anyway. Everything was Dark Blue with a few Yellow's and Red's deeper in. As this was my first time I put on camo and did some mapping of the immediate area, need to download these maps. There was one other pep pulling to the zone. He was red to me so I should have taken the hint. He cleared it out the first few halls pretty good so when one down the hall popped and he was already occupied I tag it and started beating...and casting.....and beating.....and casting.....and rooting……and running! Could just be that I am a Ranger, as some would say, but comparatively these Dark Blues aren’t worth the trouble...for me anyway. This was about like me trying to kill the Imp Protector’s (44-48) in Nagafens Lair. Crazy CON's!! Back to the boats!

I have started using the entrance off of Gunthak through the luggard temple near the Dulak zone. If you have invis - no problem getting through there and no lava.

Hi all,

this is Beatrix, Cavett's wife. I'm a 61 magician and I've been soloing in Nadox for quite a while now. It seems to be the perfect place for me. I can solo and do laundry at the same time LOL.
Well, what I'm trying to say is if you are a solo class and you're looking for a good place to hunt without any hassle, Nadox is it. With KEI I can easily make one yellow AA exp in about an hour. There might be better places to go, but as I said, this is exp without a hassle, you get some pp plus nice vendor loot and the occasional drop from a named, alot of which can be solo'd as well.
When you zone in from Gunthak, just make sure you are invis, swim through the lave and get to the safe spot by the rock on the north side (I hope I have my directions right) of the bridge. Get your pet up and start pulling the trolls.
All pulls should be single except for the the two trolls in the center by the camp fire. Sometimes I can single them, sometimes I can't. I usually ignore them, but I was told today that a rare named spawns right there, so if you are after that named you will have to kill those two trolls somehow.
This area is very easy, you don't even have to think about what you are doing, just perfect when you want to get easy exp, without any difficulties.
4 Tunnels lead from that area. Two to the north, one to the south and one to the east. The tunnels to the north will have troll mobs just as hard as the ones you encounter in the open area. The Trench Master spawns in there, who drops a very nice caster ring, a charm (the one that increases stats the more pp you have in the bank) and one more drop I can't remember right now, sorry :(
Trench Master is a random named who can spawn pretty much anywhere in those tunnels. One night I killed him 4 times in less than 2 hours, other nights I didn't see him at all.
The tunnel to the east leads to the shrine, lots of shrine bruisers are there, all of them are light blue to a level 61 player, therefor I don't go that direction too much. Right before you get to the shrine (I think it's called the cathedral), to the right there's another room, which I haven't explored too much either. Though a lot of mobs in there are green to me, they like to dispell and I hate to lose KEI so I avoid that area. I'm sure there's a named in there, but not worth to find out in my opinion when you're just there to get some exp soloing.
The tunnel on the south side leads to yet another room with plenty of trolls. All of those are single pulls at 61 and the named there is the Blackhand Lieutenant. Easy to kill, doesn't drop anything exciting for us mages.
If you go past that room though, through the hallway a little bit, you will get to another room which might be more interesting.
Now, this isn't easy stuff anymore beyond this point. First of all there's a wanderer who just might totally mess you up, plus single pulling doesn't seem to work at all. Besides that alot of the trolls now are casters and dark blue. There's two troll guarding the entrance of that room. Try to pull one and you will probably get both of them. Once you cleared the entrance (we mages use our eye of tallon to explore) you will see that the room is full of mobs. No matter which one you try to pull, you will at least get two, plus you always have to keep in mind the wanderer who might sneak up from behind. Even though I really wouldn't suggest exploring this part of the zone alone, it still might be worth it if you are an excellent soloer. The named in there (I think it's Dulein "Something") drops some nice caster gloves as well as a chanter belt with right click effect Brilliance. As many other named in this zone, he can spawn anywhere in this this room.
This is all I can tell you about anything I know about the area east of the bridge right by the safe spot. Except that there's another room with Spiritcharmer Nadox, but you really don't want to try to solo him. You will need at least one good group to take him down.
When you cross the bridge to the other side of the zone things will be a little harder. I only solo there when I have the time to really pay attention. On this side you will find three tunnels, one leading to the south, one to the north and the third one to the west(God, I hope the directions are correct :P)
The tunnel to the south goes very far down until you get to 2 mobs (careful though, there is one wanderer who spawns right in the middle of that tunnel) Those are undead mobs, i can't remember what they are called, Rotten Seafarer etc. easy to single pull, but takes alot of mana for a mage to kill. Chaining pets might be the best way to do this. If you're lucky you'll get a coral ring. Actually they are quite common here. Try to get one before they sell for 50pp :) There's a named that pops up right on top of the corpse of the mob you just killed. The name escapes me, but he's not any harder then the regular mobs on this side of the zone. If you are far enough from the mob you've just killed an the named pops, he won't even aggro on you and you have plenty of time to med up.
Then there's the tunnel to the south, which I don't go to at all. This one will get you to the luggards. Nasty and scary looking creatures who will chew up your pet and hardly ever drop anything. Ok, I only know from soloing the wanderer, because if you go in deeper, the first two mobs I wasn't able to single pull and I had to gate out. All in all, luggards aren't worth soloing.
If you take the west tunnel, you will first come to a room full of luggards. Invis and you will be ok. Keep going straight till you reach another hallway going downhill. The center of that hallway is another safe spot. Nothing will harm you here, just don't back up too far and don't move too close to the room in front of you. That room consists of undead creatures just like the south tunnel. Tough mobs for mages at 61 but doable. If you are very careful you can single pull every mob in this room. There's suposed to be 3 named here, i have only seen one yet. Dropped a nice bow, lore, you might be able to sell it for a nice amount. Coral Ring drops here also, plus lots of gems.
If you keep going through the west tunnel, as well as the south tunnel, you will eventually end up at the docks. Lots of mobs here as well. Never went there without a group though, so I can't really tell you if you can make it there soloing. A rare named "Decaying Fishermen" spawns here. Drops some really great stuff!!! I'm sure a 61 mage could solo him, I just haven't figured out how to single pull him.
The docks lead to Hates Fury. Ok, this is just my opinion; I've been playing EQ for 3 years now, twice I went to Hates Fury and both times I had the time of my life. The whole zone is one big ship and just going through the zone, exploring, is soooo much fun!!! But that's a different zone, therefore different story heehee........
Have fun you all:)

Just one additon here..

The room with the blackhand liutentant does have one very nice drop for mages-- it is rare and random off any of them.

Called Hate Forged Pauldrons, I have seen one drop after killing about 100 of those guys. Also can drop a decent ax that procs a shield.

I love love love Nadox, I duo there with my cleric bot which helps alot for c-heals and pacify 8)

Also there is a really nice ring quest that requires fecund flesh from the luggalds here.. that is the only reason to kill them really. Signet of something quest starts in West Freeport.

Good hunting!

Sorry, Banegrivm, although admiralble in his passion for the subject, has many of the facts of the history of Norrath incorrect. He has tainted his "observations" with his bias to tilt the "history" to show what he wants it to show.

He has even gone as far as to call GM-controlled historical characters -- who are indeed part of the lore of Norrath -- liars when confronted with the true history. If they don't know what the history is, I don't know who does.

Incidentally, Bloody Kithicor took place Haloween 1999, well after Beta was over (March 12, 1999) and the game was actually released (March 16, 1999).

His writings must be taken with a salt-shaker full of grains of salt.

Druid hunting spot

I have been camping this zone for several weeks with my 57 druid and a 57 ranger partner. Upon entering the zone from the Guntak side, just succor across. This will place you outside the temple near the zone out to the mines. You can single pull the guards on the steps (they will all be dark blue). There is one named that random spawns in any of these positions as well as a rare spawn that sometimes pops if you kill a bruiser (he drops a charm). The standard mobs can drop up to 9p per kill as well as some minor gems. Happy hunting.

I am a level 56 druid and I parnter with a enchanter. Is there anywhere else in this zone that Me and my partner could hunt besides the entrance of the zone killing the elementals?
If anyone has any idea's pls post directions to a good spot. I can kill all 4 elements at the entrance and then pull one of the mobs from the bridge. I would like to get better loot in this zone if possible.

You should have no problems at the bridge. I've been there the last couple of nights with my wife. I'm a 52 chanter, she's a 49 druid. I'd charm/haste one of the trolls and we'd just beat on whatever came by. We died once when someone trained 20 luggalds by, and it does get exciting sometimes, but by the time we're 56 I expect this would be cake.

Overview of Zone
# Mar 24 2003 at 6:51 PM Rating: Excellent
Scholar
28 posts
Overview:

The zone is well developed as far as dungeons go with 5 separate areas of
interest: Luggalds (Upper/Lower), Undead Trolls, Elementals, Shrine, and
Blackguard, and the Troll Mines. There are 3 ways to get into the zone
(False Wall from Torigran Mines), Lava Entrance (left passage between the
lower and upper town in the rock tunnel in Gunthak), and also the very top
of the Gunthak Zone from the right hall in the top of the castle.

This zone will strip any lev buffs you have on but for mid-level gear this
zone is a casters paradise. There are some good melee drops as well with
several charms that drop. The thing you must remember in this zone is that
the NAMED mobs usually (but not always spawn) of the death of one of the
mobs that your killing. There is a special ring event that occurs in the
shrine. Spiritseeker Nadoz is considered the boss of the zone and drops the
best loot in my opinion. The Broodmother from the Luggald area is another
tough challenge that require two level 60ish groups that know how to work
together well. Other named with either spawn and/or spawn off of the death
of mobs in that specific area.

Luggalds (Lower Area):

Directions: This area can be reached by crossing the bridge from home base
and then taking the right tunnel you will come down a hill in the tunnel
then come to a left corner. Luggalds will appear in the room.

This area is the best experience wise due to the number of high level mobs
that will con dark blue to even a level 65 player. There are several named
that can be taken in this area (The Broodmother is spawned by killing a
semi-rare mob called the Luggald Ambassador),Tarsos Fis`Zaaksen, Kdansol
Borgir, Garodizan Razorfin.

Luggalds:(Upper Area):

If you cross the bridge from home base and go through the middle tunnel you
will come into this room after a short tunnel ramp down.

Up from the lower luggald area is a nice size room with 4 connected rooms
that have plenty of Luggald Initiates and Luggald Abominations, with the
occasional undead troll to keep you busy. There is a least one named that
will spawn in this area, Kraska Mreth. This camp is sought after due to the
quest for luggald flesh that drop off these mobs.

Lava Elementals: (Bridge Point that is the middle of the zone)

When you zone in from the lava entrance you will need to swim through the
lava to the bridge. If you get out of the lava and run diagonally up the
wall while invis you can get out of the water and make sure everyone is
healed from the swim (damage taken) and then get your bearings from where
you want to head in the dungeon. This bridge is what I call the middle point
of the zone and I will refer to this spot as the Home Base when discussing
directions.

Shrine:

Directions: When at home base look past the campfire on your left and take
the tunnel directly ahead (last on the right) at the end of that passage you
will see steps leading up to a wooden ceiling. You can walk up the steps
and into the shrine area.(NOTE: this is a false ceiling one way UP the steps
not down. To do down click the level near the platform). If you keep going
you will cross another rocky bridge to a tunnel that will lead you to the
Torigran mines entrance.

The shrine has several names that will spawn and another mob that if killed
will start a ring event. Several named that spawn in this general area
include, Spiritcharmer Hargortaz, Karsonizzak Bloodblade.

Blackguard Area:

Directions: When standing at home base and looking a the first you will see
a passage that heads off to your right.

If you take this passage all the way down you will find adherents and
initiates and the occasional named. The next passage to the right (as you
enter the structure heading towards shrine also has advocates, furious and
vehement blackhands. The last passage to the right (which leads to the hall
for the boss room - Nadoz is to the right just before the steps to the
shrine). Acolytes and Seekers here, with the occasional named Veteran,
Prophet and other random named make this the second best xp spot for
experience. After you spend some time in the connecting passageways here
you will find your way around fairly easily. (See attached map for
reference)

Undead Area:

Directions: From home base if you cross the bridge and take a left you will
head into a corner that will make a turn to the right. This is the undead
troll area with 3 cubbies adjacent and one cubby between the upper luggald
ramp and the ramp to the pier area that heads to the entrance to Hate's
Fury.

Here you will see drenched crewman, soaked crewman, waterlogged crewman,
stockman, sodden crewman (higher level and dark blue to a level 65 player).
Captain Avilo and First Mate Bresanev can spawn off any of these mobs. When
approaching the pier you may see the undead weaponsmith (named that drops a
charm), and also the decayed fisherman (named). If you go past the pier and
back around you will find another room that is wraps around to the connector
from the back of the upper luggald area. Here are Worn Torn Spirits, and
animated mercinaries (dark blue) and these are undead casters.

Summary:

I have seen a rare mob spawn that was level 60 called an undead Peer that
was a GIANT troll in the middle of the blackguard area. Overall I am very
impressed with how Sony has laid this zone out and the random chance that
you are killing a mob that may spawn a named and this keeps you on your toes
and adds some spice into the gameplay. In my opinion Hates Fury was not
laid out with the forethought that this zone was.

with kind regards,

ok, I have been hanging out in nadox for 2 weeks.
from what I have noticed, the named mobs that pop in here have a set area they spawn in. for instance, the spiritcharmer hagoretz, that spawns on the bridge in nadox by the Torgirian mines ZL. he spawns on the bridge, but can spawn in any location along the bridge. it's not so much a random ph. if you kill just one mob in the spawn area, eventually he will spawn, so the mob iz a random spawn period. much like the Ac of S Ro, but far less tedious, hehehe. this iz also true for any other named mobs in the zone. also, if there iz a wanderer that walks through the set spawn area, don't kill it, time it and base your kills on it's path timing, az it iz part of the spawn area, and the named can spawn az the wanderer. this would make it eazier for you to loze the named mob that you are working to get, to another Pc, namely trackers... grrrrr.
with this said, I will move onto mobs like the npc that drops the charm of deception, he can spawn off of any trolls corpse in the zone. I have seen this mob spawn in 3 different rooms and on the bridge. I know this post was a bit long winded, and poorly typed, but I've been awake a long time. forgive me.
hehehe.
I hope it gives some amount of insight to any players looking for the eazy to get loots of this zone.

Our group consists of :-

40 Warrior

We stumbled on the lava entrance into Nadox while exploring and mapping Gulf of Gunthak. I conned the elements that were hanging on the rocks there and as 2 came up yellow and they looked like they would come singly we decided to try them.

They do indeed come singly - they all con yellow or red to a 40 warrior but could all be malais'd and slowed by a 38 (then later 39) shaman - so I am assuming a level range of 41 - 44. They dont hit particularly hard nor fast and go down quite easily. Each one drops up to 8pp. We have had no other drops after about 3 hours hunting them. They are on a 20 minute respawn it seems.

A poster below makes reference to there being a troll spawn on the rocks also. That is not quite true - there is a pathing problem over the rocks that means anything trained to zone from deeper in, that gets past the rocks, will get 'caught' on the rocks trying to path back and stay there indefinitely. We have seen both trolls and an element caught like this on the rocks.

The interesting surprise at the zone is the lava etched doombringer that rarely spawns from the corpse of any other element. We were lucky enough to have KEI on the casters the one time he appeared - and so with all three healing the main tank - we were able to melee / thornshield / pet him to death. (He was too high for the casters to effect with spells directly)

After fighting here for a while we decided to explore and succorred to see where it'd take us. As reported below it takes you to the Torgiren Mines zoneline. There is some fighting available here - the crypt bruisers that line the lava bridge will also pull singly. We have established that they are all 43. They hit harder than elements but slow well and are easy after that. They drop a couple of pp and a lot of the LoY fine steel equivalent weapons.

At these levels the elements were excellent xp - roughly half a blue each per kill, the bruisers not so rewarding at about a fifth of a blue each - but they are more plentiful.

When trying to navigtate the lava from the zone in in tunnels of Gulf if you hug the right hand wall you can sorta slide up them for part of the trip, helps to minimize the damage a little bit.

there is a backdoor to this zone. simply go in the front door of the large castle in Gunthak, where the luggalds spawn, and proceed directly in throne room til you see a small corridor. takes you into secret passage inside crypt. ***** THE LAVA !!!heh

I've fought 5 different named mobs and numerous other mobs that conned even or higher level to a level 55 player here in Nardox. And neither I nor anyone that I've grouped with has ever been summoned once by any of the mobs in here. So all of you cloth wearing casters don't have to worry about being summoned by anything in here at least.

I did some exploring and helped someone with CR...found that succor takes you right to the Mines just go left or right into one of the tunnels. Getting to Hate's Fury requires invis and something like Seasons....lots of fire resist since you need to swim through lava. It is one dangerous run and could end up with a nasty CR.

I hunted the zone for a few hours tonight - I would call it about as hard a zone as Kael Drakkel in the area where my group was, down one of the tunnels by the bridge.

The mobs hit for 200+ consistently, and were uniformly dark blue, white and yellow to me, a 54 SK. After my group broke up I explored the castle some. The main difference between the castle and the other areas I saw were a bunch of priest type mobs - Broken Skull prophet, cenobite, seeker, initiate etc. There were ZERO casters in other parts of the zone. Nothing, or almost nothing, sees invis here.

The exp seemed pretty fast - about 8% in 54 in about 2 hours worth of hunting / exploring.

I should note that I saw ZERO named mobs in the time I spent killing stuff down there. There aren't many of them. The one significant drop I got - some DRU MNK BST sleeves - came from one of the tall aliens.

Some quick facts
# Feb 25 2003 at 5:41 PM Rating: Excellent
3 posts
Entry to this zone is from the second left fork in the cave system in the gulf of Guthnak(sp). You will than see an opening on the right all run through this past a few trolls and towards lava.

When you enter the zone you will be on some rocks that are raised above a lava river. After about 50 yards these rocks end. Sprirt of Eagle and Levitate were both stripped upon entry. On the rocks you are standing on they are a few fire elemental looking spawns and a broken skull troll spawn. Most of last night these spawns were clear for the entire night.
To get to fighting area in zone you are going to have to swim through the lava. Just jump in turn make the right hand turn and than hug the right wall. You will eventually climb up the side and be safe.
Once out you are in a cavern with a bunch of broken skull spawns. Most of these conned blue to a 52 Beastlord, but were a hard fight for that same 52 Beastlord and a 56 Druid. From here there is a bridge that leads across the lava pit, two tunnels and an entrance to a big room. haven't explored any of those expect the north tunnel. The north tunnel consists of a few static troll and boar spawns some of which conned yellow to the 52 Beastlord. Took this tunnel down to a crossroads and turned left into a decently sized cavern that had 3 static boar spawns on the west end. Pulled to here foo a few mins before ported back to the nexus. biggest problem was pathing here, which caused adds from the tunnel to ocme in. luckily had an enchanter in group by this time.

later in the night decided to go back. This time with a 59 Shadow Knight a 58 Druid and the 52 Beastlord. once we zoned in the Druid succored us and we ended up infront of the crypt building. Easy goings for that agroup with a bunch of dark blue mobs to the 52 beastlord. Decent weapon drops sells at same price of fine steel, and the beastlord got one blue bubble of exp and half a blue of AA over the course of 45 mins that it took to clear outside and the entry level of the crypt. Again pathing was a problem once inside the main level of the crypt as mobs on pull would not come straight at you. Luckily there seemed to be little adds from these miss pulls, don't know if we got lucky or what.

Will be going back again tonight,

Ok, what is all this about swimming in lava?! Last I recall that was entirely lethal to this necro...I guess thats what my Harmshield is for :/

What FireResist is enough to survive laval damage?

A friend took me to the Crypt on foot last night; I guess that's the 2nd entrance mentioned. It was an easy run through the castle invis, and just a simple passage off the throne room.

Re. swimming thru lava...I am reminded of the tunnel in Shadeweavers Thicket behind Jynhadar a named Fire Elemental that is filled with lava and goes....to a locked door, key required.
