Good zone for xp until lvl 63-64 or so, then it's decent for aas until the mid 70's. This all depends on gear, aas, group, etc.
The drops are decent, the stormriders drop an ok shield and some tradeskill items and the giants drop binding powder pretty frequently.

Got the level message to check this place out, but the directions it gives "Take POK to PoTranquility once there head north until you reach a stone archway..." Looked all over for this archway (heading north as I zoned) and could not find it. Did find a faucet spewing yuk that took me to PoD, and a cave that took me to Runes of Lxanvom, but still could not find this place. Could some one post where this stone is I need to click on?

My group killed Emmerik the other day. He is the second giant with the portals on the way to the top floor with Agnarr. When Askrr spawned he said something about the top floor and the key word was (Storm). But we couldnt get him to port us to the final floor using the key word. We tried almost every sentence you could think of and no port. Anyone know exactly what you have to say here to go to the top floor?
When you say "Storm", a windstorm forms behind Askr. You right click on it.

Yes, depending on your number of aa's and gear. My bsty has no prob in BoT, but I have over 600 aa's at lvl 78 and have some below avg gear. Most of my stuff is either tradeskilled or bazz bought (poor by a lot of ppls standards). I have seen ppl solo in BoT with less than 400 aa's quite nicely... just pull with your slow and be ready to feed pet to mobs while you escape if things go bad.

Being a 63 enchanter i have never had any problems slowing any of the mini's, except for the immune one obviously. *shrug*

Here is a little info for anyone new to the zone, wanting to farm the minis. There is a lot of misinformation and it is spread all over the place so I will put it here.
4 minis in lower part of BoT. One for each wing (fire,water,air,earth). They are all on a 5 or 6 hour respawn, can't remember how long exactly at the moment. They all mitigate slow (except laef who is immune to slow) - a mob that mitigates slow will mitigate ANY slow. It does not matter if a Shaman, or Enchanter (or beastlord) casts it. (Despite a post saying fully slowable by shamans). However it is hard to land as they are very magic resistant. From my vast experience killing them I would say they are easiest to hardest to slow in this order: Oreen (easiest), Hreider, Gaukr, Laef(immune).
Procs: Gaukr-1500dd proc, Oreen-none, Laef-none, Hreider-500dd proc.
Heals: Each one will chain cast CHEAL as soon as it drops below 50% health until it is out of mana. Cheal only heals 7500 hp or whatever so it gives them about 10% health a shot or so. (If it gets above 50% it will continue to attack until reaching 49% again where it will cheal itself). Gaukr is the exception to this. Often he will just keep whacking away. Once they are done healing themselves they seem to hit alot harder and faster (just an observation but it seems to happen every time).
Loot: Most often you will get a ring of torden and prob a spec parchment too. (crap). Rarely, approx 1/10 times they will drop their respective ornate pant pattern/mold. A glyphed rune word will drop maybe 4/10 times, and one of the general items from their loot table will drop about 4/10 of the time. If you are very lucky you will get one of each, but expect to kill these guys many times and only get a ring and a spec (or just a ring).
Using an elemental pet via enchanter or mage is great for dps and makes them much easier. You can no longer charm earth mobs so if you want to use a pet on Gaukr, you will need to drag one over from one of the other wings.
Oh also, they will often attempt to gate if you pull them too far away from their spawn point, so either kill surrounding mobs, or have enough dps that you can drop it fast.

one thing that should be mentioned.
Shamans and beastlords are going to have the most success slowing these bosses. Disease slow seemed to land about 70% of the time back when i played. Just debuff there disease resist and your set =P

One of my guildmates ran into an interesting problem in BoT. They went to the upper east (I think it was) part of the zone when they pulled two ordinary looking mobs but all of a sudden nobody could heal!! Cleric couldn't heal; Ranger couldn't heal. Could cast the spell but it had no effect. After half the group had died, the ranger made a run for it but one of the giants liked him and kept summoning hiim back. Finally his shield disc ran out and he died. Anybody know what that “no heal” was about? Never ran into that before.

Hi,
The No Heal/No Cast problem comes up occasionally and there are a bunch of different ways to try to fix it. Ways that have worked for me include: Zone, Reload your spell set gems, do "/loadskin default", and the ever popular log. The fix is not predictable, and you just hope one of them works quickly.

Hey man that can happen in any zone the odd time. It is not a BoT related bug. Sometimes (not sure why) spells will cease to work in a whole zone. I have had this happen a few times actually on raids where the whole raid had to relog in order to regain casting abilities. Just one of those dumb things that can happen.

McDonalds Managers are a piece of cake for a 26th bard. They are high greens (still give a little xp) and don't aggro. In fact if you pull one the McDonalds staff around seem to join in on your side.
These guys spawn pretty quickly (6mins) and are good xp for your low 20's after you've finished hunting the regular staff.
They don't drop much in the way of cash (few gold) and their drops are pretty worthless at the lvl you would be hunting them. So far I've got Potato Chips (sometimes 2 or three at a time), a Spatula of Frying (Uncommon 1HB 2/30 MAGIC) and Pen of Indecision (Rare -4Int fits in Ranged) and an Apron of Lard (Common Chest armour All/All AC4 -25Chr) and an Employee of the Month Certificate (Very Rare +5Chr Effect: Blinding Flash, also fits in ranged - quite nice too). All these items are Magic, Lore and No Drop so I'm guessing that they are for a quest. Theres a few guys over at Burger King that I've heard are Quest NPC, I might try hailing a few and seeing what they have to say.

Is it true that if you want to make the Burger King spawn, you need to kill all the "A Burger King Employee" and A Burger King Patron" BEFORE killing the "A Burger King Assistant Manager"? I know that this MOB is the place-holder for the "A Burger King Manager" and the "A Burger King Regional Manager", but what I can't stand about this zone is the fact the the area outside the zone known as the "parking lot" is always infested with "A Stray Pidgeon" and those pesky "A Laughing Seagull" which are all level 1 MOB's but immuned to normal attacks and always try to steal your loot (golden fries) - I hear that if you do the CVS Quest for the Wand of Rolaids (charges 10) and feed the laughing seagulls one each that they may explode, never tried this myself, will need to confirm this...

yes the cvs quest for rolaids works but if found out bye the gm sheriff you could end ported to the jailhouse mines for at least 6 months

As a 53 Warrior, you will not go to BoT.
First way is must be lvl 62 Unflagged.
Second way, for below 62, is to complete a PoJ Trail, then obtain all the items you need for the BoT key.
Let alone, the mobs here are no joke. Most wouldn't take you in a group at that level.

Unfortunately, pally's pacify only work on mobs 55 or under so it wont work here
Get a ranger or druid.. they are WAY better for pullin here, cast harmo and bam you got a single in well less then half the time a sk or monk would have split them...

With recent zone level changes, does anyone know if a guild has some flags to BoT is there a level requirement for others in a raid who do not have the flag?
level has no bearing on PoP raid access. lvl 55 is required if you wish to enter the Planes of Valor, Storms, Torment or the Crypt of Decay without achieving a flag for these zones first. (need PoJ trials for Valor/Storms, Terris killed for Torment and Grummus killed for Crypt)/ lvl 62 is required if you wish to enter Torden, the Bastion of Thunder or the Halls of Honor without achieving a flag for those zones first. (BoT needs the Askr the Lost collection quest from PoStorms, HoH needs the killing of the Glass Dragon, Aerin`Dar) Back to the original point, it is possible to get raided into just about any raid, assuming that 85% of the people on the raid already have the flag. I would assume it's possible for a lvl 46 to become PoTime flagged, however unlikely.

you can be time flagged at lvl 46... some uber guild find amusement in doing this.. seeing as you do not have to even be elemental to be time flagged, you can get visa'd in and kill all 4 elemental flagg mobs and bam you are time flagged
However, you cannot zone into Time until you are level 65. It is a required level zone, just as PoT has a level requirement of 46.

you could be flagged at 46 as long as you got 85% in to each of the elemental gods (don't have to have flags before this if I remember correctly) and get the quintessecence (sp?) of elements. Now, with this you wouldn't be flagged for any of the previous zones (Tactics, Fire, Earth, etc.)

Technically you could be lvl 1. If your raid begain in Plane of Knowledge you could be "gimped" into Plane of Tranq too!
You need to be 65 to enter the Plane of Time though. You could conceivably get all the shields and combine them for the Quintessence but you could not zone in so you would not have credit for the flag.
U can either hold flag or ne lvl 63 i beleive.

We were at south side named area today and named spawned. We had 2 shm, 1 mag, 1 sk (MA), 1 wiz & 1 pal (not the ideal group but we were keeping entire area clear and had to do looong pulls). We all were FM & ready as we could be. Everything went flawless but we all ran to oom when named was at 2pct then everything ate rage, 2 doggie pets, mage pet and MA and promplty died. Then one by one entire group got eaten, named was at 0%, it was a time of sadness hehe.
People in BoT dont observe any of the unwritten camping rules when it comes to named, they just track, show up and then aggro if its not aggro already. Spectral parchments are the main desired drop now (ornate molds are nice too).
Basically if you don't get BoT named on first try, don't expect you'll get a second chance so give it your best shot the first time. We would have had ours except 2 of my bolts were eaten by wall. Not sure why mobs are allowed to be in wall in the first place, or at least why you can still see them and fire but it gets absorbed by wall. The 5k damage lost would have made the difference. I think its a bug in line of site attacks.

I've just been doing most of the places in here now, quite intresting. First time I've done the A jord skygge, AE's 1500 x 4, seems directional,only when melee'd hits for lots of 69X

Hello, My guild has completed Bastion of Thunder. It was fun but can be frustrating. The realm is not overly stocked with loot as one might think. The fun lies in discovering how to beat the place from beginning to end. We killed Agnarr last night flawlessly. Was a wonderful feeling trying to tackle this place for 6 weeks and finally succeeding. After this place sits for a while I might write a spoiler for it, but that will be in a while. Can't go spoiling your fun now can I?! And yes, in the end, this zone has some of the best loot I have ever seen fall off a mob minus Seru.

I have posted the info under --->ASKR THE LOST<--- in PoS. Check him out on Bestiary page. I just did the quest so have not tried to zone in anywhere yet. I have been told that even tho my log file says that I have the flag, I still have a step or two to do. Just check out the post ---> My Log File <---

Ive done the quest, its actualy not that difficult to do.. but it is different then your standard way of doing things.
For instance you cant just hand Askr everything to do the quest, you have to talk to him and once he asks for something only then will he accept your items. as for the lords, they hit for 1481 and rampage, also summon low HP adds that hit for 200 but will evaporate or be slain by 1 hit

you ahve to kill every giant of that type to get him to be triggered im a overlord and was discd was being hit for about 700 or so
i am not entirely clear how this quest is done and althoguht i am a premium member and pop been out for about a month this service is seriously lacking in PoP information
