Located under The Twilight Sea, the Fungus Grove is a cesspool of towering fungi and drainage from the Luclin surface above. It is home to dangerous plantlife, clans of Tarmoks and Shik`Nars, and a small outpost of Shadowhaven citizens.

Ok so I spoke to these guys named "Caller xxx" (Groo i think?) where the Defenders spawn. It seems they're workers that call some "beasties."

Well they want you to bring some drink to them. You purchase the what I assume is some kind of drink from the Merchant near the city (to the right in that first camp area) and take it to them. They offer to "call more beasties" for the larger amount of drink.

Well I purchased a Keg (they said they would call "more beasties than you've ever seen.") and gave me a contract that I was to return to him.

He tells me that he will then lead me to a cave, where we are to kill the beasties. When I'm done I return the contract to him.

The contract is a Magic Item and it is No Rent.

I hope to coerce my guild into going up there sometime tomorrow or Sunday so hopefully I can post my results.

Oh, and he wouldn't let me trade w/ him while invis. I was app. at the time so it doesn't require much faction it would seem.

Aggro on shrooms has grown also. I ran a normal path this morning when all of a sudden I realized I had 20 shrooms on me - ugh. Between the stuns, etc, I just stood there and took it, got a res and dropped the guild a note hehe.

I have been in Fungus Grove all weekend with with my druid, soloing for exp and spells. Previous to last night (12/10/01) I could use the ol' trusty snare/root/dot combo. I should have noticed that there were far less people in the zone, but I found out why very quickly. I pulled the Tormack Protector, and resisted snare (not too common but happens) these guys run incredibly fast, BTW. I tried to snare again with him beating on me...Resist. So I tried to root...Resist. I look down in the chat bar, and inbetween "A Tormack Protecter hits you for 105" and "A Tormack Protecter hits you for 105" I see the resist message underneith showing "This target cannot be effected by spells that changes run speed" (or something like that). Fortunately I gated with a sliver of health left. No more soloing in this zone for this little druid..../sigh...it was fun while it lasted. If any VERANT employee reads this post, GIVE US SOME DANG WARNING WHEN YOU MAKE CHANGES LIKE THAT!!!!

This dungeon seems to now drop two spells for each class (the low 50's spells). This is what we killed and what classes of spells they dropped:

Beetles:
Druid
Shaman
Enchanter

Tormacks:
Bard
Paladin
Ranger
Shadow Knight
Beastlord

Small Mushrooms:
killed these for over an hour and not one spell drop.

Bandits:
Mage
Wizard

Thats all we found on our first trip.

Zone Nerf Part II

Well after this mornings patch I was happy to see the whole zone mine to kill. There was a lvl 60 Enchanter there but not killing anything. Ohh to my surprise when I cast root on the first protector and it did not hold, not only did it not hold but those big red words were above it "IMMUNE". They have now made them immune to snare and root. Well that will be the last time I go to that zone for awhile. Need to get me soloing in fast before they nerf the rest of the zones.

Confirmed. watched roomate kill shrooms and get high lvl spells for everyone in guild wich includs all classes

They seem to have changed the drops in this zone after the first patch. Redman no longer drop money and spell drops seem to have fallen :(

I can also confirm. Myself and a mage there for 1 hour before the patch Sunday and we got a total of 5 spell drops. Average about 1 in 4 mobs

I heard rumors of Luclin Spell Drops in this zone, sometimes 2 in 1 kill. Can anyone confirm this?

Confirmed. I was there for about 6 hours and saw what seemed to be spells for all classes drop.
