The Twilight Sea is probably more land than it is water, consisting of several islands as well as a hidden area in its north accessible only by an underwater tunnel.

Katta Castellum sits in the east, its towering walls and guarded boundaries difficult to miss. Numerous city residents can be found on a nearby island containing two fishing docks and an inn called Jern's Rest. The Twilight Sea also connects to the dry, barren part of Luclin: Past the range of cliffs and mountains in the west is the Scarlet Desert.

Shadows are overpowed

If you can avoid it never kill the shadows. They have massive and overproccing lifetap that no melee class will enjoy. With my super war twink It took me over 10 mins to kill one. It was a war between my mercs mana and its rediculousness. It did over 13k dmg to me. Same it took to kill it. Beyond stupid. I think it was a teek quest from pok. Avoid at all cost. The only reason to touch with 10 foot pole is to train weapons since they never die. Casters that can avoid melee range shouldn't have much problem.

This whole expansion seems to have terrible EXP. I got better EXP off blues and easy kills in Crypt of Dalnir in Warlisk woods than off yellows on luclin at same level

Elementals which cover most of the zone, from what I've noticed, are great exp grind. My only regret is I came here at 30.
-They range in level from 25-29 and will only aggro you if you are attacking an elemental of their kind.
-A good amount carry weapons that sell for almost a plat, I've gotten green weapon off one, among other items that sell for decent amounts.
-Their's a merchant in one of the houses in the middle near the elementals.
-I would avoid the island across from the watch tower post that has the greater and lesser shadows. they leach life and aggro from far away, they are also much higher, 32-36ish.

This zone was a really nice place to lvl iirc as a mage in my 20's somewhere. The mobs didn't have too many hit points and didn't hit too hard.

Does anyone know if the old sky here is ever coming back? The new sky certainly has its share of "wow" moments, but I miss just coming here to look at the planet. There's something amiss about watching the moon from the moon :p
few things about elementals

I read lot of things in the bestiary of TS on how to make pop greater elementals or named. I tried it and it was false. Smiley: disappointed

So first thing, elementals are random pop, if you keep killing only one kind, shortly there will be no more of them because other will pop of other kinds.

Then because of the random pop you dont have to kill one kind of elemental to make pop this kind of greater, berserker or other. And there can be a long time before one pop, or not. I farm their for 4 hours with no greater poping. Then i get 3 in 1 hour and a half.

Finaly ive tried anything to make named pop but never manage so i think you just have to keep farming again and again and again and pray your god to make named pop.Smiley: bowdown

Also the loot on them are pretty good for the lvl of the mobs and this is a good place to hunt cause after more than 300 thay con still dubious to me.Smiley: tongue

Can you help me, my doctor says I have to kill a PH... I'm looking for the locations and PH for the A Vas Ren Blesser and A Grol Baku Holyman. I need them to complet my Holy Rite armor quest. I camped the alien area for about 5 hours the other night, and nothing showed up on track. I ws killign the Vas Rens and the Grol Bakus...

I understand from several sources that there is a teleporter to Fungus Grove in the castle on the island. I found the castle and prowled everywhere, still can't find the teleporter. Has anyone used this phantom teleporter, and if so WHERE IS IT!!!

Go right to the top of the castle, and there's a 'hoop' with an NPC standing beside it. Click on the 'hoop' and it will port you to Fungus Grove.

Probably a bit late, but I'd imagine so. At 30 my Mage was soloing elementals by the castle, and it wasn't too hard to single-pull one away from the others and kill it near the steps; that way if anything went badly wrong I could run up the tower and zone into Fungus Grove to lose aggro. With SoW you should be almost perfectly safe if you stay close to the tower.

Just a note: Many times I've had my 30 Druid in Twilight Sea, and I've seen Rangers and other Druids port in to the center of the Elemental Island and either cast Wolf Form on themselves or the group. This is an enormouse mistake because once you cast that spell every elemental on the island aggo's on you. I made the mistake myself the fist time I zoned in and was dead within seconds. Evidentally they don't like the illusion spell. So if you are planning to go to Twilight and can cast this spell I hope you took the time to read this.

If you have druid high enough to cast the Share wolf Form, you should have no problem Nuke blasting through any elemental that agro's you. Also, just AE blast them and kill a bazillion at once.

This zone is a great place for young (24+) druids to hunt, for a number of reasons, but can be summed up in two words: Dismiss Summoned.

You get this spell at 24 at which time it's pretty much one of your most powerful spells, but it only works on summoned creatures. You also have a port directly to the Twilight Sea, that dumps you in the middle of an island full of... elementals! Although they're not pets they still count as summoned creatures :)

When you port in, spin slowly left till you see two thick trees slightly obscuring a castle: that is where you want to head. Dont go in, but sit at the top of the hill looking down on the island. This is going to be your hunting ground.

Med up, and equip a fast 1hs or 1hb weapon (the spiny weapons that drop off the elementals are superb for this) and get Dismiss Summoned loaded.

Walk forward and pick off the first elemental you see. You should be able to single pull without much in the way of adds (you only run into trouble if there's two of the same type of elemental next to one another). Hit him with a blast of DS, and run back to the castle, aiming for the little nook on the wall, where you want to dig yourself into the corner.

Being in the corner means you can get attacking with your weapon, and firing off continuous DS blasts without interruption. If it all gets to heavy, you can gate out again with little chance of an interruption cos there's nowhere for the elementals to push you. About 3 rounds of DS sets them running, but they tend to zigzag on the slope, rather than head back to the island, so save your mana and just slash away. Its a great way of building up melee skills.

The spiny weapon loot sells quite well, along with some nice rocks and what have you: the bigger elementals drop other nice items that sell nicely to other players your level. The only thing is with the bigger elementals is they don't root or snare, and they are invulnerable to non magic weapons.

As the exp starts to tail off there's always the shadow island just across the way, if you have lev or good swimming and SoW you can do the same tactic, pulling to the castle.

Ported into Twilight the other night for the first time after hitting lev 24. Looked like a fun place to hunt so I sat down and started to mem my brand new Dismiss Summoned spell. Had around six ( I think) elementals of various types suddenly agro all over me. I lasted about two seconds. You might want to think about having it mem'd before hand they seem to be able to detect it. BTW I had also recast a str spell that had started to fade just after porting in with no neg effects on the elementals.

Elementals should start indifferent to everyone before you kill them. Presumably you were in wolf form?

If you get into trouble fighting the Elementals, the Turtles in the water near the castle will kill them !

(I lost a greater water elemental to them, while trying to pull it off the island)Smiley: cry

Turtles are indifferent to my Necro & Ranger.

Anyone know what the rock with the glowing black face is ? Its on the shade island. One side of a boulder on the island looks like some kind of portal to somewhere. Kind of reminds me of the entrance to ToFS.

anyone have any information on the greater air elemental that is supposed to live here? Ive ported in a few times and looked on track for one but to no avail. Im trying to acquire greater finespun cloth sleves for my untwinked 38 druid but I cant seem to find anything which might help me do so(level, spawn rate, ect). wondering if this creature actually exists. ANY information would be helpful. thx in advance,

the greater elems are random pops but one way that I noticed helped the lesser named, ie.. beserker, greater and such elems to pop was to start killing all of that type you can find. since want greater air elem, kill all the air elems you can find. by doing this I got inferno and hydro to pop along with 30-40 of the minor named elems.

Go through the underwater tunnel to the area with the aliens, underbulks, and beetles. Kill wandering Ven Ras aliens and he will pop sooner or later. He was wandering when I found him. Dropped Fresh Springwater.

It appears that the elementals do not wander up to the castle. Is it possible to pull elementals to the castle area to avoid adds? How social are these elementals, and how quick do you get KOS by hunting them? What level group can hunt the base elementals, and what level can you solo them?

The elementals are social, but only to their specific element. If you pull a fire elemental next to an air elemental, only the fire will come. However, if you pull a fire elemental next to another fire elemental, both will aggro.

I am not sure if it changes once you are KOS to them. I've killed probably 60+, and I am still just apprehensive to them.

Great place for mages 24-30+. Pull with Expulse Summoned (or cancel magic for Fire) to the castle. Very few adds and the DD's against summoned are very mana efficient.

To answer my own questions.. Mystyre has been hunting at the castle now for 3 nights as a 27 mage. Died twice (once from stupidity, targeting a red elemental by mistake). These things do not appear to be social.. You can pull one when there is another quite close.. They do not wander up to the castle, so they do not join the fights. The castle is a PAIN to try to run through to zone if yer pet dies and you OOM..

I asked in zone last night if the elementals are social and was told no. I pulled one and immediatly got an add. They might not help different elementals, but they will assist elementals of the same type.
