This is the planar home of Tunare, the goddess of nature. It's entered via a portal at the top of the tower in the northern part of the Wakening Land.

There is no known way to regain faction in this plane once you've damaged it. The moment an enemy of Tunare steps into the plane, the Protectors of Growth will be sent to hunt them down.

PoG's=No agro
# Nov 17 2002 at 3:18 PM Rating: Default
Protectors of Growth have been either broken or intentionally altered for about the past 3 months. They NO LONGER have zone wide agro, this is a fact, ask any standard group farming BD's no more worries about wiping because of these guys folks.

# Apr 23 2003 at 7:48 PM Rating: Good
According to today's patch they will once again aggro. so watch out.
RE: PoG's=No agro
# Feb 17 2003 at 7:00 PM Rating: Decent
Exactly,
The PoG's do NOT zone aggro...hunted there yesterday and never saw one...we were in-zone for 4 hours.

The zone had been farmed pretty hard before we got there, so only took out about a dozen mobs...drops were mage leggings, beast cap, druid pet spell, and beastlord pet heal spell.
Loot side question
# Nov 01 2002 at 1:14 PM Rating: Decent
Could a 50 Cleric, 54 Monk, 51 Wwar and 51 Sham do the loot side?

And does anyone know where i can find a map? I dont even know whats loot side, mobs-going-to-rape-you-without-a-small-army side, etc..

Were trying to get the planar armor :)

thanks in advance

The "Loot Side" is the West side of the zone, rule of thumb for sticking to loot side and loot side alone is:

Don't cross the water, don't go near the buildings, don't engage the Tranquil Treant unless you have a good stunner.

If anyone can think of anymore Loot Side rules, feel free to share. :)

Loot drops on all sides, but go to http://www.bajah.com/FU/pog.shtml for a slightly out of date site with information on the plane of growth. (mostly out of date on the Pogs info)

I recently heard a rumour that the POGs no longer attack as they used to and as a result it is fairly easy for a high level solo class to get by in PoG. Can anyone lend credence to this rumour or is it a crock of s**t? In any case does anyone have a view on whether a skilled warlock could manage here alone or ....not ;P

Problem for me is that most of my guild's officers are goody goods and as such few of them want to organise a raid here. I am considering taking the law (or more like the breaking of it) into my own hands but would prefer to avoid any unnecessary unpleasantries on arrival.......

I've been thinking of doing a POG raid but have been wondering what to do in situations where the raid is bound to be wiped. Previous raids ive been in have treid to camp the cleric and have someone kite the POG's but I feel this is risky, because if the kiter dies then things get very tricky indeed.

I was wondering whether it would be better to just have as many people evaced as possible by the druids/wizards. That way you can reform the groups and zone back in and probably be able to take on and clear the pogs. Would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Went yesterday with 3-4 groups. Actually took about 8 kills to bottom out the servants of Tunare. All others were bottomed in about 3 kills. We had a bard for pulling but he kept going LD so we used a 51st monk to pull. Had no deaths on the West side of the zone and cleared it all fairly easily. East side we lost one to a mob in the lake when invis dropped while crossing. Had 2 or 3 deaths pulling thiflings till we got the hang of it. Mainly due to the roots and them hitting harder than the monk could handle if the first FD failed. Worked well once a druid came in that could harmony them for us. Was getting late and we left before finishing the zone. Eager to go back.

Drops were slow and the Beastlord named Rot got the most drops of the day. Got several spells and a few nice pieces tho.

If you are a Tunare druid and have been good (i.e. no hunting treants etc) then you will be fine wandering round up here. If you are liked in Kelethin and Felwithe, likewise. Just don't get mixed up in any fighting you see going on :-) I hope to make it myself with my Ranger when I ding tonight.

OK, I tried it last night and I was amiable to everything - inculding the Whorl of natural energy that someone said was KOS to all. No danger at all, though I nearly fell out of Tunare's tree which could have been nasty (click off SoW before going up there :-)

Now I just have to figure out how to get back down. I am a ranger, I dont have any gate potions, and I saw no one else in the zone at all. Whoops.

If it works like normal agro you will remain on the list until you camp, zone, kill it, or it kills you regardless of whether you reinvis or not.
Re: Questions about POG
# Feb 19 2002 at 10:20 AM Rating: Decent
Faction hits will be:
Clerics of Tunare
Champions of Faydark
As well as the inhabitants of Growth

CR procedure:

Best method is to try and camp out if wipeout is inevitable. Clerics obviously first. Get your puller out if you can (I either camp or use Thurg gate potion). FD peeps stay down

Procedure is to get the puller back in Growth and use him as bait for the PoG's. Once he has them engaged and kited far away from the rez camp, you get the clerics to either log back on or zone in invis. It is the pullers responsibility to get the PoG's as far away from the rezzing as possible and to keep them on him for the duration of the CR. Once everyone is rezzed and rez effects are gone, the puller can bring the PoG's back to meet their doom.

Hope this helps-

Our guild is planning a raid, and we're trying to find some specific answers to some things. If you have been up recently, can you help with any of the following questions?

1. What specific factions are hit? (ie Emerald Warriors, etc.) It is assumed that hunting POG will take you from Ally to KOS, so am trying to simply find out which *exact* factions are hit. So far it seems like if you avoid Kelethin druids and rangers, and Felwithe pallies and clerics, you can still use most of GFay/Keletin/Felwithe okay. But some more specific info would be greatly appreciated!

2. Can followers of Tunare/Karana/etc who do not want to HUNT here at least help by doing things like CR, rezzes, etc. safely? Obviously buffing mid-fight would be a mega-no-no. :)

Thanks for any info!
RE: Questions about POG
# Feb 07 2002 at 1:23 PM Rating: Excellent
If you are protecting your factions... you MAY NOT drag corpses in PoG without being invis. Even then there are a few mobs that see through invis.

For CR the best thing to do it meet up at the mushroom in WL, invis your entire raid and zone in. Everyone should go stand on their corpse and wait for the loot call. Just loot what you are going to need to fight off the PoG's. Once PoG's are dispatched, do your rezzes and complete your looting. Then just pick up the raid like you didn't miss a beat.

As far as factions... there are websites that will give you a complete list, I just can't remember the address at the moment.

GL to ya, and have fun.

Very simply, if you worship Tunare, you will decimate your faction in about 4 kills.

If you do not worship Tunare, I do not know all the consequences but I am still able to bank, deal with merchants, and con warmly to the guards in Kaladim, Kelethin, and Felwithe.

REASONS NOT TO Fight in PoG: If you worship Tunare, there are very very nice quests for you once you are lvl 55. It is worth it to do the quests before you destroy your faction and it is possible you won't even need to fight here by then. For example, as a cleric you will need to get 4 idols from the Kael arena. Chances are you will get corroded armor for your Thurgadin Quest armor during that time and wont really need your pieces here.

PoGs pop about every 22 minutes. Then, depending on where you are, they arrive in around 25 minutes or so.

EDIT: That wasn't what you asked though was it? Ah well, the standard repop seems to be about 8 hours but I am not certain of that. I do know it is less than 24 from what I have seen on back to back raiding nights.

We have many Druid and Ranger wood elfs that join us in PoG, They act as out scouts, and tell us where the Protectors of Growth are at. Becasue of there track they can Lead the pullers to named mobs and what not, SO you would be VERY useful in PoG seen how both chars are trackers

I hate people who just sit on here to call other people newbies.. If you have never been to the Plane of Growth, there is no way in hell you'd know the exact way there, I'm sorry. Doesn't mean you are a newbie, it means you never have gone to that particular zone. So relax on the newbie stuff, name calling and basic 4th grade stuff in general and be helpful without the attitude, everyone will have more fun that way. Of course, thats only my opinion.

Haven't been yet. but this is high on my list for places to go when I get out of 45 hell. From reading throught the posts. You have to gate out. So if you are a melee type that can't cast you need somebody that can gate/evac/trans you out.

DId the pathing in this zone change last night? (7/10 patch) Our guild could not find a SS in this at all. All of the posted SS seemed to have been changed as there was a lot of mobs passing through them. They were not safe at all. Any comments?
