I went killing in the zone with my 55 Druid and killed a lot of LB mobs. My xp counter barely moved. I did get a few spell drops and some plat but it took hours to get even 1 aa. This is not the place to kill for leveling.

um i totally disagree with getting 1AA an hour..I have my level 56 shaman in there and he already has 40 AA's and it is still going up rather fast.

Now for leveling experience it is quite bad it barly moves.

I have a group of a 47 Sham, 49 cleric, 49 Warrior. Averaging 1% XP per kill, not the best. But I'm not here for the XP, I'm here to farm spells. Maybe at 51 I should turn the AA's on?

I was crossing the zone on 6/17/06 with my 56 Pally and ran across a mob called a Mottled Wyvern. It conned blue, so I took a swing at it. It hit for 250ish, and wasn't going down very rapidly. I took off and ran halfway across the zone using Fabled Jboots and stopped near the zone to OT to rest. After a minute or so it showed up right next to me and started wailing on me. I didn't see it running across the zone. Might have been due to lag, but that hasn't been an issue for me lately. Upshot is, it seems that once aggroed, this mob stays aggroed and in pursuit until you zone.

Melees for around 2.4k and AE ramps.

Suled Dar's Shade says "You have awakened something which you should not have, fool!"
You have been slain by Suled Dar's Shade.

When he spawns, a zonewide shout is seen. Some yellow message about a light on the mountain range you're on. and some guy shouts about the orbs collapsing and he's not sure what's going to happen.

We're not sure yet, but we think you might have to be in melee range to cast spells.

He sees through SoS too =( have fun with the CRs, we are.

Have they nerfed the spell drops for this zone? I have been hunting here for about 4 days (an average of 4 hours a day), so for about 16 hours total. I have been looking for my Enchanter spells. In this hunting time frame, I have had about 5 spells drop.

My Ranger buddy is pulling the named mobs, plus we are killing other various mobs on top of the named mobs, but we have gone hours without a single spell drop. Are we doing something wrong or did they nerf the spell drop rates??

The WORST change
# May 09 2004 at 8:35 AM Rating: Decent
When i used to fight regularly in this zone, ending about a year and a half ago, I had a very nice spot where I could stand and fight (and even fear kite a little) on the west wall between two lava flows - just above and to the north of a dragon head at the end of the southern flow. This spot was nice because: the higher level mobs of the zone would spawn there, and it was far enough away from the zone-ins that I'd never have competition for mobs. I'd even see Talendor pass by every once in awhile.

Just went back there with my new pair of characters and the field in front of me was completely barren of mobs. In fact it seems that all of the zone is barren except the areas immediately around the zone lines (incl VP) and the north-eastish part of the zone. To me this is the most dissapointing part of Sony's changes to the zone.

In the words of Kenny and Kyle when thier dear friend is killed: "You bastards!"

Does anybody know what the turn boxes are for? You click them and they turn. No idea what they do. Is this just some distraction for the baby minded mobs? Something for them to play with? I didn't know there was a second box until a few minutes ago. I guess I'll grab somebody and turn them at the same time.

When Eldrig spawns he starts to wander after a minute or two.
His placeholders do the same.
If there's no sign of Eldrig and nothing is spawning at his spot,
I usually start killing everything roaming around and eventually you will get a placeholder or Eldrig himself to spawn.
His spawn point is to the right of the Overthere zoneline, right hand side if you are looking out towards Skyfire from OT zoneline.

Along west edge of zone is an unfinished valley, protected by a knife-edge cliff < a 20,000 hp fall - how I found it :( >. The cliff runs along west wall from -2845 in the south to about 0 in the north. Seems empty, maybe forgotten by SoE, or a to-be-continued add-on. I eventually found a place to slip-slide down (or you could levitate-float down), but Gate/summon/port is the only way out - watch yer step running in that area. If ya had a need to be away from it all in EQ, this is it.

I'm currently trying to obtain 3 more shards to finish my my long awaited epic. Does anyone have any info that could possibly cut my wait down even further. I was with a grp last night that was treating all the skyfire mobs like they were chumps. We constantly trained the group and landed numerous spells/tradeskill items, but the shards eluded me. I was wondering if there are mobs that have been discovered to drop them more frequently or if it's just a uber rare drop off of just about any mob. (my luck they drop more frequently off of the chromadics) If someone could spout out what knowledge they've obtained it would be greatly appreciated.

I have spent many hours helping my Cleric friends camp Skyfire for thier shards. I saw no pattern at all, the shards can drop from any MoB, and they drop very very slowly. We were lucky in that a couple of times groups who were hunting for other things would call out "pearl shard at xxx, yyy" when one dropped from one of their MoBs.

As far as I could tell from my many hours of experience, it's just a massive test of patience.

The druid rings port-in is very safe, may be one or 2 mobs wandering near there--just port in SoWed and if you gett aggro run due south will take you to the Burning Woods ZL. The wizard portal is entirely different, can be half a dozen mobs there and will be a few that will debuff. Be glad you are a druid this time hehe.

BTW this is Kunark not Velious CoV faction means nothing in SF--its all ring of scale ( RoS ) and Minions of Scale faction. Only way I know to raise them is by killing in MM castle.

Well I don't know how rare they are, but have been quadding the lowers here, and have had two of them drop, the first one I didn't know what it was so I looted it, the second one I found out what it was and just sent a tell to a person who had been medding by me, and he picked it up. Not everything is about money and if anyone on Tunare would like me to send them a tell when one drops just give me a tell in game and I will be happy to give you a tell with the loc, hehe though you will have to find your own port in, that wizard portal must be the most dangerous portal in the game. Anyways good luck out there and happy hunting.

Shards are fairly rare and I believe can drop from any mob in the zone. I know when I camped SF that if someone was looking for one they usually offered 500pp-2kpp to loot rights ( they are no-drop you know ). I saw maybe 4 or 5 drop in several levels of adventuring in SF.
As far as a group letting you loot them, they are only of use to a cleric, so as long as you are the only cleric in the group you should get dibs on the shard. Make sure that they group doesnt have someones alt cleric waiting on the shard to drop before you join the group.

After reading through this thread, it seems to me that people aren't seeing probably the worst change to this zone: the godforsaken chromadracs. As a necro, I started soloing here at 51. Things were great: I could fearkite anything not named or rare near the BW zoneline, and there was always something else to be pulled. Then, the "upgrade" happened...my first pull is a chromadrac, which I had slaughtered enmasse before, who proceeds to dispell 3 important buffs--from extended range--while simultaneously dropping a nice DoT on me and my pet. This had never happened before. I zoned out and came back, then tried again...same thing.

In the old skyfire, the chromadracs had the debuff. It had a nice short range, so as long as you were careful, you could avoid being hit by it (though I did have to rebuff the pet constantly). The Boiling Blood spell was something the drakes used within melee range, along with their breath attack from slightly farther away. I think something got botched when the zone was changed, and the Boiling Blood was mistakenly moved from the drakes to the chromadracs.

The bottom line: the chromadracs suck now. Go to any area of the zone where people set up camp and on an average day, you'll see about 80% chromadracs and 20% everything else (sometimes even worse). Nobody wants to fight them. Pullers will duck and weave through them to pull anything else they can find back to their group. If the zone is crowded, I spend half my time sitting on top of a rock, watching the the chromadrac ballet, hoping I can beat the other pullers to the first anything-not-chromadrac that pops.

I usually look down on the "change this or I'll quit" posts people make. I'm not threatening to quit; however, this really needs to be fixed. One draw to this zone once upon a time was the spell drops, but most of the spells that drop here sell for more to a vendor than you'll get out of a player for them. The named cycle is still great, but can be and usually is done easily by a single group. The other big draw, which is what got me started here, was the wonderful soloing potential. It's just not worth the headache anymore as this once great zone has become a late-night last resort.

My bazaar mule is full of spells I have got from my wizard quading in SF. Started single kiting matures mostly but got bored and started quading the lower level mobs. Chromadrac's are usually up all over the place and easy meet for a wizard. Groups dont' like them because of the dispell but as long as you don't let them get too close they don't cast on you. Takes alot of work bunching them up but at 58 I am getting 3/5 of a blue AA exp per quad. Nice solo exp and not as dangerous as those AE groups (love them too, thats why I need RS3).

Spells drop so often that the bazaar is lousy with most of them that I get.

On Wed May4th while killing mobs in search of the elusive pearlscent fragments, our group was located just north of the Veeshan entrance on a hill. Our monk puller pulled a gaurdian wurm twice. although I did not time to spawns as I was just killing to get fragments to drop I can tell you that our session was from around 2pm est to 6:30 est. So if you apply the logic that the first gaurdean was up and ready to die, then it would be logical to say that respawn is no more that about 4 hours on the long side and could be shorter. I apologize I didnt really pay attention just that the 2nd time the monk pulled it we lost badly so it did make an impression. Hope that helps.

Can a 51 druid solo here?
18 spells in one day soloing
# Mar 21 2002 at 6:42 PM Rating: Excellent
This may be common knowledge to some, but after spending several hours in Skyfire getting spells to drop became as routine as it could possibly get. Averaged maybe 1 in 5 kills got me a spell. Some kills had more than one on them.

Just park yourself between the BW zone and the graveyard. Hunt only named (even easier if you have track). By named I mean the following (there is ALWAYS only one of these up. Killing one spawns another. Sometimes the same mob 3 times in a row, it's random):

a soul devourer
a wurm spirit
a wandering wurm
Guardian of Felia
Black Scar
Felia Goldenwing (careful with her, nasty druid - uncommon)

These mobs are placeholders for each other, and you have a much better chance of getting a spell drop than other mobs in the zone. Also, pulling from the graveyard lanes to the pocket before BW zone give you plenty of room with no adds. It's threading them out of the lane that can be tricky.

As a 55 Druid these solo no sweat. All I used is Winged Death, ensnare, root and my ES Vams. Leaves me plenty of mana for when the next one pops within 60 seconds.

There is always some druid going after the named spawn. He uses low level non mana equipment and knows exactly when they will spawn because he just took 10 mins to kill the last one. A normal group would take one min to kill a named and pop another. I have seen it every time I go.

I am lvl 58 Necro and I can out do any Drooood in the zone. With Demi Lich and Slime boots = NONSTOP pulls. I have my fear timed out and can kill a nemed mob solo in less than 4 minutes. And as for tracking, LMAO some druid got pissed cuz I was out pulling him as a Necro and when he asked if I had Radar to the Named, I said no I had "Bonedar". He thought it was real and took 5 minutes before sending a tell back with a laugh. Either way I can out pull the named mobs !

No offense but we druids don't know when they spawn. We do know how to find and hunt them.

As for the named fellows, there are several that drop spells.

Wandering Wurm
Spirit Wurm
An Old Wurm
A Mature Wyvern
A Mature Chromadrac
Guardian Of Fillia (Wyvern)
Faierie of Dismay (Chromadrac)
Soul Devourer
etc...

The biggest problems are most hunt near BW zone line so there is a lot of compatetion for the few of these that spawn near there.

The best bet is to move along the edge of the zone and find a spot to hunt from.

Personally I found a spot with a LOT of these off to the left of the druid port in location -- second hill into the mountain.

From there, I just pull to me and drop them with root, DOT technique.

Nobody ever comes to where I am hunting and the quantity of "named" spell droppers is extensive so every single pull I can get one and see several a slight distance from me as I am fighting.

Again, biggest problem seems to be the compatition between those that "feel safe" near BW so won't budge and just get mad when others seem to have better "luck" with their hunting.

Ciao for now,

You're a crack monkey! LOL

I've been hunting here like crazy this week, to get my spells. In the past three days, I have easily collected 30 spells. Three of which were 58th level.

Also, I steadily feed on the named/PHers most of the time, and have yet to be summoned by any of them. Decent XP, Decent PP/Gems/MoneyItems, Decent Spells.

I killed 3 shadow drakes, spirit wurm, wonderring wurm black scar... etc ALL day..

Nothing summoned... and I can kill them and after they die still have FULL mana (/hug epic)..

Have they changed it so that only "Old" and above creatures summon? I didn't have ANY summoners the whole day/night... others are telling me the same thing...

Info on zone
# Aug 24 2001 at 5:54 AM Rating: Excellent
This zone is important for several reasons. First, it is not crowded. It offers level 49-58 casters and druids a place to solo and get spells. There are also two named cycles of mobs similar to TT, but much more difficult. The rewards are spells instead of armor here.
Named mobs: a wandering wurm, a shadow drake, Black Scar, Guardian of Felia, Felia Goldenwing, a wurm spirit, a soul devourer, Faerie of Dismay. There can only be two of any of the nameds up at any time, and they are sometimes hard to find. Any of the nameds can be on either cycle. One cycle has a 30-sec delay of respawn, other has about a 1 min respawn delay. The nameds drop spells more frequently and more rare in nature. I have had the best luck with Felia and Faerie of Dismay for really rare drops, having seen Call of the Hero drop 4 times, 54 Mage rogue water pet drop 4 times, and 58 enchanter Bedlam (nuke) once. Just hunting the nameds, I average 2 spells an hour.

Best way to pull is to have a tracker and use invis to get to the mob. At 56 Ranger, I can pull any of the nameds from anywhere by being invis, waiting until it's clear around me, then shooting an arrow using a long-range bow and then running to the BW zone. Then you can kill them however ya like, although fear-kiting is recommended. Good to have a necro or chanter to do the fearing while ya have rogue pets and fast-melee like monk/ranger/rogue whittling them away from behind. Snare is a must. Chromos suck with the AE dispel/dot, but they can't do it while they are feared, so it's good to overfear them by recasting every 15 secs or so to reset the fear timer for them.

Zone also has 2 annoying parts to epics (monk not included because any of the nameds can drop the Immortals book). Eldrig the Old is required for bard epic. He is not on the named cycles, just a rare mob. He is a chromo, always level 51 and a pain in the butt because he summons. Best to kill him using a bard with fear song and a necro or chanter for backup fear after ya sic pets on him. Felia is needed for enchanter epic and is a really tiny chromo that is a really rare spawn. She is attacked by some of the mobs in the zone, so her life is usually short as is. The Guardian of Felia is supposed to somehow be tied into "protecting" her, but I am not sure how. She is a very tricky pull when she spawns because she tends to hang around a lot of mobs, and she has to be led back to a safe spot for a chanter to charm her and turn in an item to her.

Old wurms, mature wurms, mature wyverns and the other higher level mobs near VP are good about dropping rare spells as well, 55+. Guilds can get spells from these guys mini-raids on them by pulling to a semi-safe spot and doing tank/debuff/healing fights vs kiting.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm a 37 druid and am currently in the Overthere, the start of my epic quest is talking to someone in the burning woods and was wondering if I could travel through Skyfire to get there. Is it possible? Or should I try to take the other route from the Dreadlands?

You don't even need to run fast, just keep invis up and stay near the zone wall and you're fine. Nothing here except some of the really high-level stuff near VP sees through invis.

I have been visiting Skyfire for the last few days and as 55 druid I stick near the zone to BW and do great with root and Dots..take em down fairly easily..Only 2 bubs of mana per kill for wyverns..wurms..chromo..gnawless.. and another bub for drakes and mature stuff..but that is using my ES gloves and Vams.. still waiting for a good spell to drop but have got a few 50ish spells that my guild mates needed.. Good place to solo.

Well, personally i love this zone. As hunting here from 50-56 as a necro and 53-60 as a druid i can tell ya that this place has it's ups and downs. Probably the worst downs are the faction. I can not run through dreadlands anymore or even go past the tunnel without being beaten by the gorenaire stick. i can get agroed by her from VERY VERY far away, its a constant annoyance. You also have to be careful here because mobs go whereever they want, so running along the wall doesn't always mean you're safe. Other things to note are 'a guardian wurm', 'an ancient wyvern', and most of all 'Talendor'. all are lv60, i have been attacked and mooshed by all except ancient wyvern, talendor casts an incurable dot, fun fun. he also has a large agro range and usually if you can see him he'll be on you.

Also since alot of you soloers are wondering what summons out in that big bad dragon world..

Talendor (100%)
Ancient Wyvern (100%)
Guardian Wurm (100%)
Elder Wyvern (95% of the time in my experience)
Skyfire Drake (80% of the time in my experience)
Shadow Drake (30% of the time in my experience)
A Lava Walker (70% of the time in my experience)
Eldrig the Old (100% of the time in my experience)

Theres probably more, just that i don't remember everything =)

For all you reverse kiters, there's a place with a giant dragon skeleton of some kind by the HUGE fire lake in which the pathing just takes the mob back and forth in a very small area. In one of my few groups there we were soloing 2-3 at a time just constantly fearing em.

Since you might be wondering if indeed spells come from here alot..here's my totals as each char.

Necro - 4
Druid - 615

Be warned that the wurm type of creatures have a HUGE melee range. to check the current health of a mob i have to go into melee range, and with a mob that hits for 162 and me with 1485 health it really gets difficult.

One more thing i'd like to pass along, since this is gettin rather long. Some people have mentioned pulling to overthere zone inside the little temple thing that leads to overthere. I wouldn't suggest it. As someone mentioned mobs wander near the temple entrance, and also if people get trains which is quite likely you will have to deal with it, and they will have to deal with your pulls which often results in a messy corpse recovery. So i ask of you not to pull inside the temple, it's too big of a hazard to yourselves and to others.

With patches, only Talendor, Guardian Wurm, and Ancient Wyvern summon now. The other mobs have been nerfed and presently do not summon. Good solo zone for kiters.
Used to be a tricky zone for kiters, just had to know what to pull and how to test em out if they summoned. Much easier now to hunt.

Not quite true. Eldrig the Old still summons--got summoned 3 times in the fight with him last night. A 56 necro and I beat him relatively easily, just pulled with Malosi, then Turgurs, and then sent in pets while necro snares and fears. Use JBB or best DoTs u have and it goes down fairly easy. Eldrig is always level 51 as far as I know and Ive seen him summon quite a bit.

Thanks to all who replied. I have since found that this is indeed the same sapphire used in jewelcraft. At that time, I had not seen the "magic item" tag on a sapphire before, or I had not even noticed it. I have since hunted here quite frequently of late and have had numerous gem drops, in addition to numerous Enchanter research pages for level 44 & 49. Such a shame though, I have all of them but I'm really looking for the higher spells. Oh well...

I am working on the foraged crystal question myself
# Mar 29 2001 at 9:14 AM Rating: Default
I too have been trying to understand what the crystals are for. I have also noticed that there are 4 dragon statues in Skyfire as well, each holding a globe representing the same thing as the globes that are foraged.

I tried using the globe to click on the globes the dragons held but nothing. I also tried all over the dragon as well.

If the two are related I am not sure how but I am still working to see if they are. If anyone has any guesses or clues, post them here.. maybe we can work on this together.

Does anyone know of any NPC that asks for something about natures crystals or something along that line?

I wasn't able to try using the foraged globes, since I had left them in the bank and they are LORE, but I did notice that when you click on the big globes it say "You are too far away move closer" (or something similar).

Seems to me that there must be something in it, since that on'y happens for doors etc that you can interact with.

I'll bring the forgaed orbs next time and try whatever I can think of

Hi, I create a level 1 Troll Warrior to see how far I could get into Kunark. Well... the answer is Skyfire Mountains. If I could have found the door to Veeshan's Peak, I would have knocked on it.

I had a SOW through most of the Overthere but the rest I ran without the aid of magic (just lots and lots of luck (and skill!)).

;)

When I /ooc'd "who's Talendor?" I was laughed at and warned to run away. So I did. When I was surrounded by Wurms on all sides of me. I stood real still. When I saw an opening I ran. It wasn't really that big of a deal.

I'd NEVER do that with my primary character, but he's a bard and can run really fast- why not try? Oh yeah... corpse recovery. *shudders*

I have seen Skyfire - and it is hot and lava-y. ick.

I'm wondering if these are associated with the Foraged Crystals. The chests seem near the Dragon statues. It will be interesting to see if there are 4 chests in zone.

1) Try handing crystal to chest.
2) Try turning chest, and handing crystal to stopped globe at dragon statue.
3) Use two people, one to stop globe and one to hand crystal to chest.
4) Try turning all chests simultaneously.
5) Try various permutations, at the various statues. etc.

Interesting phrase in one of the dropped books in zone, "breathing life into their husks". Wonder if quest triggers a dragon?

Everything here except the Bottemless xxx(sperms) resist fire. Groups of necros and druids can do very well here, with fear/snare. Common stuff here hits very very hard(up to 149) and is not something a caster would want to face. The spell drop rate I would say is one spell per 100 mobs which is not that bad and not too good since it takes a lot to take something down. Near the zone 51-55 spells will drop. But from elder stuff higher level spells can drop. Ancient Wyvern will drop 59/60 spells. Chromodracs DO AE dispell. And the zone usually gets very crowded with them because no one likes to kill them. If you got a good group you should kill them(but keep them snared/feared so they dont dispell)and chromo's have little hp generally. If you are a druid the chances of you porting in and landing on something is about 25% I would say. But I think its way more dangerous for wizards. I saw 5 wurms just standing on their pad. I am not sure but there is a way to pull a summoning mob without getting summoned while you are bringing it to your party. If you pull with a spell that does no damage(such as dispell or snare) the mob wont summon you. But I am not sure since I heard of people getting summoned anyway. Oh yeah some stuff doesnt see invs. I think the drakes and the sperms...wurms do see invs.

I have found a good strategy for use, as a pet caster, in this zone: Go to The Overthere zone area and then, facing out into Skyfire, hang a right and go about 1000 paces. Forgot actual /loc but it's not too far from the zone while still being well within reach. Grab a druid and a cleric friend. Call an air or water pet (prefer water for backstab). Have the druid pull with snare. Wait till the mob gets to the camp then send the pet in. Let it tank until pet is about on quarter HPs left, then have the cleric Fear. Keep it feared until it's dead. Rinse and repeat.

Good idea is that once the mob is feared (it will run to your right BTW) that the whole group move up a bit and med while the pet beats on the mob and strolls by your makeshift med spot. Found this to be quite effective. Once done, CH the pet, med up and go again.

sound insane? it is, but it works well. a lvl 40-46 group functions WELL inside skyfire. group mix was 2 warriors 1cleric 1ranger 1enchanter 1mage

over the course of 2 hours, we made about 100 plat and had 2 spell drops. we fought at the overthere zone - which actually works quite nicely, despite the post entitled caster heaven. i don't recommend trying this unless your group really knows how to work together, but if you do, it is fairly easy. boring though - al you do is sit inside the building containg the overthere zone line and wait on the puller. however, the xp is fairly nice, and its just somewhere new to try out.

i know it sounds insane at the lvl range i'm talking about, but with a well functioning group you CAN take the lower lvl mobs. wurms and wyverns aren't a problem, even though they hit hard.

Heya,

We have been going to Skyfire for the past week or so. About every two hours or so we seem to get a spell drop off of a random creature. The exp rate is low but the spells drops are nice, and just often enough to keep the casters panting.

We have fought at the Wiz teleport spot, the druid teleport spot and then once out on the plain. The teleport spots appear to be the safest, but not many mobs within range. Our favorite is out on a large flat area where we can see stuff coming.

If mobs begin agroing on you for no reason, campout and come back. Some mob got pissed at you and is spreading the word. Campout and when you relog it should be fine.

Our experience with mobs have been most are high 40's with some in the low 50's(summoners). Chromodrakes make the buffers life hell as they AOE dispel. Lvls seem to follow naming, Elder, Mature, and then just plain mob name.

This wurm is not to be trifeled with. Or even sneezed at for that matter.

I accidently pulled it once. It quad hit for 398 each. However when I aggroed it, I did notice two very strange things about it. They may be bugs and someone post if they have been fixed.. however:

1. It did not summon me. I was running and I didnt take the most direct route to the zone, and no one else was near so it couldnt have aggro'd on some one else. Maybe I got lucky.

2. It was out-runnable by jboots.

3. My pet could and did hit it. It (my pet) lasted all of 2 and 1/2 seconds. If it hadnt jumped in I would have been wurm food. (pardon pun).

4. It didnt cast. Period. Could verant have made a WURM an actual fighter type? Strager things have happend.

From this i can theorize that a pet heavy group may have a chance of running away with minimal losses. All else try at your own risk :)

If any groups have killed it please post stratogy.

NOTE: Attack it with all of LOD wearing NO PANTS is not a stratogy...

With this mob...

there are 2 types of spawns

1. non see invis, wimpy solo with a ranger type. named - a gaurdian wurm -

2. see invis, lotsa HP, still solo with ranger, difference is named - A Gaurdian Wurm

the one with all lower case in name very very rarely drops anything at all, have been camping it for a while, it spawns in front of Dry at VP.

so far i have killed it about 12 times, respawn is around 30-45 minutes. kinda random really. haven't been able to get exact time on it yet.

On May4th while hunting for pearlscent fragment, our group encountered two gaurdian wurm in our hunting session about 4 hours apart give or take. the first one pulled by our monk was as you described very unmagical although definatly a battle. The second one how ever did wipe the floor with us, the monk went down before complete heal could be caste, the wizzy was summoned immediatily and killed, Our ranger attempted to hold the thing off while the cleric ran. The cleric (me) had divine barriar loaded instead of gate since we had a wizzy for evac. Running away the cleric was summoned I caste divine barrior and ran again, only to be summone two more time with my spell fading death was immediate. They are nasty wurms and not to be underestimated. Hope that helps someone out there

Mobs that can summon generally will not unless you do damage to them.

Same basic principal as in Fear. When pulling draco, you have to do it via agro range - otherwise you earn the instant DT.

50plus all pets classes can solo here everyone else 45 min and must be groups most pull to Burning wood zone tends to be easier pulling at the Overthere zone is not recommended as alot of mobs hang right near the entrance and by rthe time U have gottem one pulled theres one in your path blocking your way to the group. Lots of spells drops here allI have seen with my own eyes are Nec SHM ENCH and wizzy spells
