From Daybreak/EQ site under the HH section, phase 1 (June 1 - June 15)
"adventurers facing the evil dead in Lower Guk and Unrest should be at least level 85."

Finding most mobs to be lower than 85, except the named mobs in the basement.
Most mobs were even con or lower to my level 82 two-box toons (decent gear). With a couple mercs was able to quickly blow through most mobs from the hedge area to the "Dwarf Room" with Garanel Rucksforth (end of basement).

Decent experience for low 80s if you can pull and kill the rather soft mobs efficiently.

Amazed how so many ever played in this zone at release year as the corridors and rooms are so tight. For some reason I recall it being more spread out in the house.
add to that

Ranger spell ARC of Arrows -directional not just horizontal and the ever popular Smiley: eek Vinelash Cascade -directional root 30sec / clingingvine snare 30sec. Think of a giant mega phone with a shout to the mobs "This is asshate calling come one come all" not sure if the H-warrior has AE hate effect. Smiley: deadhorse

AE is apparently broken in the zone. My group got trained twice on the main floor with mobs adding from basement and upper level. I expect trains here, but it was bad with us being the only group in zone. Same glowing armor as CT had and it seemed about the same drop rate. I was hoping to see what 80ish hags nuke for. Remember 600 nukes hurting in the 20s, so if they've scaled it properly, look out! It's a smaller zone for a revamp and if an 80ish group is crawling, they'd easily clear all the named. If people did camp checks and stayed put, it might support three groups. Hoping for a quick fix for the ae problem.

That train was caused by you. Wizard beam, rogue trap, ranger arc of arrows will all go through floors and walls. It's a pulling feature! :-)

Not broken.... that has always been an issue with the mansion.. aoe spells will hit through floors/walls and basement and pull everything... I used to come in here with my chanter and AOE in the middle of the mansion just to pull everything I could out... No fix will be made... you just have to watch and not pull... pathing is bad.... go one room at a time... and if something runs... expect everything....

Ahhh, the good ole days. he is pretty much right. I use to to stand in the middle and do a pointblank ae on a 20ish mage... everything will come. Then ae snare with bard when mage zones out.... and start building aggro.
