Named to watch out for

For anyone who is mass pulling in the normal zone you should watch out for Thisla, Twinskull Matron and Sorakan the Mighty. These both have stuns, etc to ruin mass pulls so you should kill them before your pulls if you see them.

Nice hot zone
# Feb 02 2011 at 3:45 PM Rating: Decent
I'm an 85 Beastlord with 35k hp, 1260 AAs, and a T3 heal merc. My AAs are all CA/CS, DPS, and HP/MP recovery. I find this hot zone to be a nice backup if Tosk is too crowded. It doesn't have any boar type mobs for quick exp, but the iksar mobs here are easier to kill than the Tosk ogres. I've been able to take two iksars at once here. There are plenty of clearable camps and single pulls in the hallways for anyone looking to solo. The golums are alot tougher than the iksars, but managable. I get about 1 yellow of AA exp per kill, similar to tosk ogres, and I have a chain of spawns that keep me killing all the way until the first one pops again. I have very little down time, and very little trouble now that I have the hang of my camps. Snare and Invis are a must in this zone. I've killed here plenty, and have yet to find a hot zone aug.
This place sucks

For a Hot Zone this place sucks. Laggy as any zone I've seen in EQ since returning, felt like I was playing Vanguard not EQ. I was only one in zone 5-boxing. Lag makes pulling a major pain in the ***, since mobs will ghost and run off in bazaar directions due to lag and agro mobs that weren't anywhere near the pull path. No wonder this Hot Zone is empty and Tosk is crowded.

Even if you know where the nameds are you might not see one for 3-5 hours. The first T intersection area can spawn Skeletal Keymaster and Groundskeeper Drellik(may have the name wrong, groundskeeper something anyhow) Groundskeeper ph roams in the the west tunnel(there are 2 iksars who roam that way, only one is ph) Keymaster can pop in either east or west tunnel sideroom, he has many ph's it seems I don't know aout either.
HUGE zone!!!

Going from the Kaesora Hatchery to the Library is a real "sea change!" This zone is HUGE with long mostly empty corridors and spacious rooms usually with only a couple of mobs. Very well done zone!

Addendum:

Definitely more space to work in than in the Hatchery. But by no means an easy zone. There are a couple of safe spots I've found so far but they're not entirely safe since each was a wanderer who comes within aggro range. Have to watch out for adds during any fight. Most trash doesn't see invis... the "crypt" types might as you get in deeper.

DEFINITELY be wearing invis when you zone in. Like with Hatchery and Kurns groups love to camp the tiny zone-in and if they wipe to a train mobs will be waiting for fresh meat!

Hushed Minds (Enc 82 pacify) lands; haven't had any problems landing slow (after malo and tash) but cripple rarely hits.

Mobs hit harder than in Field of Scale but thankfully seem to have fewer HPs. Trash is more likely to have "special" abilities: so far I've seen flurry and single-target enrage from very average trash. They run at low health which can be a problem since many are immune to changes in run-speed. Might want to have an instant or very fast nuke loaded to prevent runaways.

Some tips as to where nameds have been seen would be helpful. I've spent 3 hours here and have yet to see a named spawn.

More to come...
