Not sure when it was changed, but as of 7/06/2011 The Search for the Ultimate Story (Meldrath Mansion Access) is no longer needed to zone into the group zone. It is however still required for the raid.

You can also access MMM through a Steam Factory zone in. It puts you in the Northeast corner right near the "Glorb" named.
