The City of Mist, also known as Torsis, was built under the guidance of Lord Rak'Ashiir shortly after the fall of the Shissars.

Problems arose when Rak'Ashiir's wife, Queen Neh`Ashiir, grew weary of life in Torsis, had a secret romance with High Scale Kirn, and fled the city with her lover. Rak'Ashiir gradually lost faith in his god, and one night, Cazic Thule sent one of his minions to take Rak'Ashiir's daughter away. This event prompted Rak'Ashiir to lay out the groundwork for the city's demise.

The once-great City of Mist is now home to a host of undead and golem reavers. Some of its temples and towers have withstood the test of time, and the spirits of the King and Queen remain. Bring a rogue friend to pick locks, there are many doors that don't have a key.

Anyone have any idea who/what the Shadowed invoker is here in C0M. Rare spawn, Necro type and lvl 45. Quadding for 115-130 plus HP equal or little greater than a Wraith. Anyone have any info on this mob?

He's not lvl 45, I'm lvl 45 and he very red. We had a group of 4, and if not for my horrbile MR, we could have taken him, 45 shm, 45 pally, 45 chanter, 39 cleric. He feared me about 8 times, and we had two adds. We got him to about 10% hp. Finally, I died...and he was dragged to zone, never got to kill him. He spawned in the stables, to the right, in the back door. He may spawn in random locs dunno.

Was noticing this to be an outdoor zone...can anyone confirm that. If so how would a 53 druid do here solo using harmony to pull solo. Thanks all for input.

You would probably do well if Root-n-Nuke is feasible for you still. No room to kite anything around, the problem is, by 53, most of the things that spawn in the front will be green to you. At 49 and 50, I could single pull as a Shadow Knight having only 18 Charisma and nothing would group so harmony isn't even necessary. As soon as I hit 51 though, about half the mobs were green so by 53, I would imagine almost everything in front of the Goo House would yield no experience for you.

If you venture to the back of the City, you will find more blues, but there's a significant hit point increase for the harder enemies that spawn mostly in the back. Good luck should you decide to try to solo here.

Recently while pulling bridge spawns. Our group had 2 drops, one a relatively common bone hammer,
but 2nd weapon is something i never heard about.
It is called FireRune Brand. It is warrior, ranger, paladin and shadowknight class available.
2 HS, 21dmg 40 dly effect: Ignite
weight: heavy
no bonus or anything.
If anyone has any information on pricing or what the hell is this weapon, please post. Could it be something that came with Luclin update? Doubtful.

I believe that a damage bonus is not inheirant to the weapon, but depends on your level. I started getting a bonus on my CoT at 28...

Fairly ordinary (in this late day) 2HS. Pretty comparable to a Drakkel Icereaver, but a lot rarer. Doesn't look as good as a Drakkel IMO.

Not terrible valuable. Under 1kpp certainly.

Again, this is all thru the IMO-scope.

Could a well equiped lv 55 rogue solo here?
RE: Rogue Soloing
# Jan 24 2002 at 4:04 PM Rating: Default

You may solo here if you can handle at least 2 35-40 mobs at the same time or you can single pull, since they usually come in 2-3 at a time. However, you have to consider couple factors.

1) Will you get much, if any, experience from killing these mobs?

2) Groups are usually formed at the entrance and the stable. Ocassionally, they are at the ramp, temple, and goo house. When there is a raid, they go to the tower for the reaver and the lords. So there isn't much room for soloing in this zone.

You could hunt in SolB...Very nice experience there and you can easily make 200pp in about 3 hours. Just bring lots of bags and loot as much as you can.
RE: hunting

I was there last night and I would consider it a Bring your own group zone. I went with a group of 3 (45 Druid, 47 warrior, 44 magician) and we about a bubble of xp an hour at 45 which isn't bad at all. However we were the only three in zone about half the time. The other half of the time their was a group of 12 getting epic kills.

So while xp is great and loot is decent, I would not wonder over here and announce 45 SK /lfg.

I managed to get through 45 in SolB -- KPC camp in under 1 RL day. Hope that helps.

Question

Item Drops
# Oct 30 2001 at 11:44 AM Rating: Decent
Drops here can be from any mob in the zone. I've hunted in CoM from 44-52 the exp is great in small groups anyway! I've seen 5 KK's drop they were ALWAYS on somekind of Skelly. Seen 2 WU's trance sticks 1-skelly, 1-Apparition. 1 Bo Staff I think from an Apparition also. Killing Reavers we've seen 7 Jade Reavers, 3 GJB's, 2 Thornblades, and COUNTLESS MoSS's.
It's a good zone, strange pathing, but still fun.

Ok, who/what drops these mofos? Its listed as a zone drop on EQ Atlas, but I check through all the mobs and I can't find one as dropping them. Im a 42 Bard, and my guild may be raiding this Sunday, and the claws would just give me another reason to go and stay there for a few days. Thanks in advance.

golems = summoned?
# Sep 17 2001 at 1:25 PM Rating: Decent
anyone know if golems are treated as summoned creatures for the purpose of druid/mage spells? intuitively one would think so, but knowing verant...

*UPDATE*

golems are NOT summoned. i tried to cast expel summoned on every type of golem we pulled tonight and it said "this only works on summoned beings" every time. /sigh

I just want to say that my guild and some friends raided this place yesterday, lvl's ranged from 39-54, so there weren't that many problems, and it was great. There weren't that many deaths, though the puller did die a few times. We even took out 11, read 11, Black Reavers in a row, I ain't lieing either.
Musts for this zone are a rezable cleric, and a rogue. I'm not sure if he has to have a lockpick skill of 200 or at least 201, theres some debate over that. But rogues are invaluable for there ability to also beable to sneak in and retrieve corpse's from tough spot. You also need to make sure that the cleric is kept alive, becuase more then likly, someone WILL die. We didn't get the GJB, but 2 of our shaman's left very happy, and we also got two MOSS along with a couple spelldrops.

Hey, I was just wondering what level I could come here realistically and get into a group as a bard. Currently I am 30 and am hunting in FM, and after reading all of this I reeeeeaally want to go there.

Sure...you can try and hunt here at 30...you'd be visciously owned though...groups of high 30's can get waxed like an old candle here from the trains

i would not advise u to do so .. for several reasons

- ur aggro will be high
- allthough its much easier to get there now than it was before the zone is (at least on my server) very often totally uncamped, so its best to bring ur own group
- as much folks hunt here till lvl 47 or even higher i dont know if u would even get Xp and IF so if its worth the time and risk.

the chance that u find a group that accepts ur mana battery, etc. is given though but as u see the lvl range of mobs, this is not 30ths zone, sorry.
