new quests for this week
# Jan 30 2005 at 10:35 AM Rating: Decent
talk to al'kabor if your a goodie, my wiz was dub and he wouldnt get quest but my druid got. Alkabor is outside FV tunnel and wants the upper and lowr halves of the sibilisian scout reports. Find the sibilisian scouts turn both halves in and you get an earring all all +45hp mana +5 to 3 resists and AC3 +5 dex, stam, agi. also you get faction +FV, stormguard - cabilis, pirates of gunthank. When you kill the scouts you get minus VS faction which im sure might be important when DoN comes out.

Hi!

Not trying to be dumb here, but if your a good race (half elf, high elf, dwarf or such) we should talk with Al'kabor first? Reading what was below it sounds like we are working for the bad guys here and I am surprised that it would be + Em Warr faction really.

But I am glad to hear that there is a way for the GTS's (Goodie two shoes) of us out there to get this loot!

Also, you mention a ring but I dont see the info on getting it. What classes for the ring?

I two box a 59 Sham and a 55 Ranger a fair amount. From the sound of the posts, it sounds doable. I would appreciate your input.

Thanks!

Lanys T'Vyl

I found her flanked by two generals, backed up by three groups of skellies. My pet stood toe to toe with Lanys, taunting the whole way. What did this big bad dark elf do? Nothing. That's right, not a thing. Didn't even bat an eye, despite all the mean and nasty things my pet was saying to her. So I called him off, and put him on the skeleton army behind her, to see if they actually had a backbone. They did, and in about a second they were all racing toward me with my pets backbone as well.

So I tested out a theory tonight and you can infact pull the army of one faction (either Lanys or Al'Kabor) to the other side and they will fight each other. I was just trying to start a war but that didn't work.

find lady lanys?

sounds to me like you need to find Lady Lanys T'Vyl, and turn these items to her. there are 3 clues from item lore:

1)Fitted slippers that make not a sound
2)Deautiful bleak gauntlets inscribed with an L.
3)Fitted armguards that make not a sound.

seams like she is a rogue.

what i found strange is that you dont get emote when finish quest, like when finishing quest in IC you got message "your action weaken force" or something like that

i tried turning in items to skely in OT, but he returned them.
will try turning in to NPCs in DL

Assassin Meerlock's quest turn in text wrong.

Taskmaster Goruk says 'Hah, what fools. They shall be crushed! You've done rather well for a peon. Now get out of here, unless you have some sort of useful information.'

I'm not sure if he has 2 replies to the quests or not. 2 of the quests gave this reply, two gave the other.

After zoning into Dreadlands, you will recieve three system emots from NPC's in the zone.
Lieutenant Ny'Rae says 'Step it up, people! We have much to do before we march. Get up, you lazy oaf!'
Scout Anissa says 'If you're just wasting time out there on your own, come and lend a hand why don't you.'
Assassin Meerlock says 'Did you see that? We must find him I can't move...'

Quest 1
Lieutenant Ny'Rae (level 70) (LOC : 144, 4938. 1133)
Lieutenant Ny'Rae glowers at you dubiously -- looks like quite a gamble.
You say, 'Hail, Lieutenant Ny'Rae'
Lieutenant Ny'Rae says 'Who dares to address me directly? Are you some [peon] assisting our army?
You say, 'peon'
Lieutenant Ny'Rae says 'At least you know your place. Why do you have no task? There are plenty of things [to do] around here. You must be lazy and unworthy of my time. Tell me, are you?'
You say, 'to do'
Lieutenant Ny'Rae says 'Just last night I caught sight of a spy lurking nearby. He was careless to let me see him, and for that he does not deserve to live. You must [dispatch him].'
You say, 'dispatch him'
Lieutenant Ny'Rae says 'Tha should keep you busy for awhile. Should you manage to do so, take proof to the taskmaster in Overthere. Trust me, should you fail I shall kill you myself when our Lady rises to rule.'

A tunerian spy spawns near Firiona Vie zone area and wanders towards Veltar. Light blue con Highelf to 70, conned indfferent to me. Hits for max 200 I believe, though most were low in the 40's range.

You say, 'tactical advantage'
Scout Anissa says 'Indeed. I am to report my findings to the taskmaster in the Overthere so that he can help coordinate attacks with the generals of Lady T'Vyl's army. I reall don't h ave time to be bothered by the like of you, unless you think you can [find] some good spots yourself!'
You say, 'find'

was bored so I took my druid and monk out of rathe ( thanks for the plat nerf on the HGs btw! sony! ) anyway... I used my clickie earring to go to the combines ring instead of the PoK book. new mobs in zone Skele warriors, commanders, captains, all red, white and blue to 62 druid. was also silibian swordsman etc.. in the mid zone ( see through druid invis ) and at the KC platform was the tunare captain, solders etc.. all mobs are in formation and there are maybe 10-12 per grouping.

Do not attempt to run straight out of tunnel from ring to the main of DL as skele groupings are right in front of the cave and on a hill so I dont think levitate would help.

I did not see if they agro'd as they are so tightly grouped I didnt want to risk a summons corpse recovery.

The skele mobs are also in the little valley

Good hunts and rare drops!

Edit: as of 1-23-05 these mobs are gone

Read the posts below, they will still pertain to your class. Especially since you can heal, and snare. XP will get a little slower above 45 if you stay outside of KC. No idea what's inside KC, except (apparently) lots of trains.

6 AA points here with my 51 Druid
# May 27 2003 at 1:21 PM Rating: Decent
I dinged 50 and 51 here a few weeks back and decided to put the time and effort in to getting my first 6 AA points. I found this to be a great zone to solo as a Druid. I avoided the spiders because they cast root and they break my root too often for me. I spent most of the time on the outside side of KC. It is split pretty evenly with dark blue and light blue mobs and I do see a green every once in a while. I have Elder Spirit Vambracers (SP?) and 255 Wisdom with KEI. I added 10 wisdom from the 5 AA points and this let me swap out some Wisdom pieces and go for other stats. If my KEI goes I have these items with me and swap them back in to get my (non-KEI) Wisdom to 241. I averaged about 600 pp (on loot and coins) per AA point. When I ding 52, new DOT, I will head off to Burning Woods, then at 53, another new DOT, off to Umbral Plains (SP?) in search of Druid armor there.

Thinking of taking my druid here at 41
# May 05 2003 at 6:52 PM Rating: Default
I personally have spent all my time here since 36. The loot is terrible and the xp is not fast, but not bad until level 38. Then it starts to pick up and you get some really good xp. I really dont like GD at all and I think that the xp is some of the worst around. I am not sure about soloing, but at level 39, which i am now. 90% of the mobs are dark blue. None are light blue, and you see a rare white, yellow or a very rare red. Anyways i am speaking about in groups now, because i am a warrior. But i am not sure about a druid soloing here, i am pretty sure you can because i also have a druid, and i dont remember what level he was when I brought him to DL. I think you should be able to solo most of the mobs here for some uber xp. And for some advice, when you hit 48, or 49 head to CS until 51ish. Then go to Maidens Eye or Umbrael Plaines. Then when you hit 55, head to WW. Hope this helps you out some!

# Mar 15 2003 at 10:07 PM Rating: Decent
I am currently a 40 Druid in the Great Divide getting my faction up by killing hill giants and wolves. The xp is not very fast but the loot adds up after a few dozen giants. When I ding 41 I want to take my Druid, with 226 wisdom now, specialty in conjuration (I do love to cast and use dot's) be able to solo here? I was thinking of the yeti caves to start but would appreciate any and all advice.
