Sandwiched between two fairly soft zones (the Greater Faydark and Steamfont Mountains),
the Lesser Faydark is the site of many-a-newbie deaths as this can be a rather treacherous area. The most noteable threats to travellers are the undead, shadowed men, brownie guards, and Equestrielle the Corrupted, all of which can make quick work of low level gnomes and elves who are misfortuned enough to happen upon them.

Those same dangers can make for decent experience to the more seasoned adventurers, as can the notorious dungeon, Mistmoore's Castle, which is located in the southwestern part of this zone.

Lady Nidra the Escaped
# Jun 15 2001 at 8:55 AM Rating: Default
Anyone have any idea who Lady Nidra the Escaped is?

She's a fairy, enchanter, probably inthe 20s. She gives no faction hit and dropped "Lady Nidra's Wing" (lore, No Drop).

Any info on the related quest would be appreciated.

After reading all of these posts, I'm starting to wonder if I can even make it to Steamfont without getting killed. CAN a lvl 12 make it to Steamfont while following the path? OOOOooooOOOO...I'm scared...(lol j/k?)

Following the path from Lesser Faydark to the Steamfont Mountains zone is not a good idea. That area is patrolled by wandering Undead Sprites (Horrors, Guards, Guardians) that are very aggressive, some of whom can see through invisibility. I've also been killed by Equestrielle Corrupted in that same area.

The safest way to get from the Greater Faydark to Steamfont is to follow the left hand wall as soon as you exit the zone tunnel. This wall will take you directly to the Steamfont zone tunnel with a minimal chance of being attacked in two minutes or less.

I never follow the path. Just because there's a path, don't assume it was made for
the good guys. The LFay path seems to have been made for Brownie Scouts and
Undead Sprites. Definitely follow the wall to the left; it's even shorter than the path.
Do it invisible if you can.

Even better...when you walk through the zone canyon between GFay and LFay, notice that it widens right at the end. Stand next to the canyon wall right where it flares to the left, and turn so that you're exactly parallel to the flared part and headed basically southeast. Now run forward. You might have to move a little to the left or right to avoid a tree, but try to stay on a straight line that's a continuation of the flared part. It will lead you straight to the Steamfont zone, even faster than following the wall.

You can use the same trick to get from Steamfont to GFay using the right hand edge of the end of the zone canyon from Steamfont (going northwest instead of southeast). This will run you to the north wall of LFay about 100-200' East of the zone to GFay.

I was running to Mistmoore the other day when I found that Lesser Fay had changed greatly. One day I and some friends were hunting brownie outcasts, next day all the sprites were undead. Amazing, wish I knew the whole story on this.

Anyway, it seems like before that the dark elves pretty much stayed in their camp over along that wall. I'd never seen them anywhere else in the zone. Now, after the changes, I've seen dark elves in the middle of the zone twice now. One conned blue, the other yellow, to my 28th level paladin.

Is this new, or did I just never see them around the zone before?

You're probably seeing the Necromancer for the Disciple of Tunare quest at the Undead Monolith. If it is the Tier'dal from the camp on the south wall that you've seen then they must've been drawn out of their camp, as I have never seen them wander. They do however insist on running down all trespassers.

Yes, the Undead Sprites and Frightlings are new. They showed up on my server the day after the GM event where Firiona Vie removed Equestrelle's horn. Supposedly Cazic Thule has corrupted the innocent denizens of the forest.

I've seen Undead Sprites, Undead Sprite Spooks, Undead Sprite Raiders, Undead Sprite Horrors, Undead Sprite Guardians and Undead Sprite Guards. Be especially aware of the Undead Sprite Horrors since they are Shadow Knights which means they have that nasty Harm Touch. Some Horrors (but not all, might be level dependent) can see through invisibility. Guards, Guardians and plain Undead Sprites seem to be Warriors. I'm unsure what the Raiders and Spooks are, but so far the Horrors are the only ones that I have seen cast.

With a full group of 17-21st level players we were able to take on the red guards despite not being able to get any spells to stick. Loot was pretty good, though the details escape me now. At least one dropped a FS Rapier.

The Lesser Faydark also now boasts a red haze to it, instead of the normal greenish one. Certainly another side effect of Cazic Thule's attention.

Nybright Sisters

After perusing the various posts and associated threads, I felt the boldness and vigour that is associated with the young (11 seasons) and the foolish.

The Nybright sisters appeared to be good hunting providing one was careful and aware of the dangers, and had read previous posts explaining the the sisters were linked: if you approach from the left hand side of the zone against the edge, Jayla and Tayla are at the back of the camp, whilst Shayla stands at the front on the left hand side and Nayla stands quite a way out of the camp, overlooking a ridge on the right hand side.

All the sisters con yellow to a level 11 except Nayla who cons red.

My 1st mistake was travelling to hunt bandits as an level 11 Enchanter with my travelling companion being a level 11 Paladin. The plan was to seperate the sisters (front from back) so we would only face two sisters at one time -- leaving me with the responsibility of mesmorising one sister. A good plan in theory.

However, there are several fundamental weaknesses with this plan:
(1) Bad pull -- if you get a bad pull and manage to pull ALL four sisters, you do not have the group members with the capabilities to handle all 4 mobs which con red/yellow respectively.

(2) Bad pulls arising from mob pathing/agros -- if your method of pulling ensures that one of the sisters has to run through the camp to reach you, she will not only pull her linked sister, but also one of the others who will pull her linked sister.

Sadly, our positioning was poor (stood on the zone edge just before Shayla). Moving in a position to pull Nayla (red mob), and then mesmorising Shayla (yellow mob, linked to her sister, Nayla) may, just may, have just worked. Would have left us both OOM and low on HP but possibly alive.

Unfortunately, we pulled one of the sisters at the back of the camp, who due to a combination of mob pathing and our position, ran through the camp pulling not only her linked sister but the other two sisters.

My Paladin companion had three bandit sisters to handle, as I attempted to mesmorise Nayla. By the time, I was attempting to mesmorise the others, my companion was being badly beaten up and there were just too many of the sisters to keep them all mesmorised enough for us to make any attempt at retreat.

Corpse retrieval was fairly simple under the guise of invisibility, and sticking to the zone edge.

Yes, it is possible and perfectly feasible to hunt the Nybright sisters at a lowish level, but you must be *aware* that a bad pull will result in a corpse retrieval. Lessons to be learnt and applied in any situation. re: Choose your position with care to minimise the risks of a bad pull due to pathing. As well as calculating whether or not your group will be able to handle a bad pull, which will arise.

Lfay is *not* a zone for debating these points -- unless you have invisibility for corpse retrieval.

Undead Sprites
# Jun 02 2001 at 10:23 AM Rating: Decent
Are these undead sprite horrors, spooks and guards new? Never seen them in Lesser Faydark before. The guards are red to me on 20th, the rest are green. I typically just use L Fay as a path to steamfont (met the brownie scouts so I don't ever stay here long), however last time these little undead pests were eveywhere and aggroing on me. Has Lesser Faydark changed?
RE: Undead Sprites
# Aug 22 2001 at 8:32 AM Rating: Default
Yeah, it changed. There was a GM event, I didn't see it myself, I'm not too sure exactly what happened. Evidently, Cazic-Thule or someone decided to try to kick the hell out of Firiona Vie who decided to go and visit GFay and whether he wins or not I guess varies, but either way he spreads the destruction a little more andputs all sorts of nasty undead into LFay, changing all those cute little pixies and fairies and the rest into those badasses that kick everyone's ***, the Brownie Guards. He also had Firiona chop off the unicorn's horn, so he's evil now too I guess. But some or all of that may be wrong, like I said, I wasn't there to witness it. Overall, sounds like a dangerous zone to be in now.

I hadnt checked any maps before going there and i got attacked by those dark elfs that i now know sit next to the entrance and have to keep running around not knowing that i had missed the entrance of the zone already. I make it to the steamfront zone zone and come back. Ask the loc of the mistmoore and start on my way again the a brownie not a scout but some other kind hit me for a 100 and i run get stinging swarm on me then he decided to finish me of with the root spell. Now i have to take the boat back there get my corpse. This time i think using camo is the best option.

Can evils bind anywhere in Faydwer and/or sell anywhere in Faydwer? Unrest looks like a great dungeon but the thought of being bound in Freeport makes it much less appealing.

# Jun 15 2001 at 5:37 PM Rating: Default
You can bind anywhere in the Greater Faydark Zone. It is considered a city as far as binding goes. Try the wizard spires, there are always casters around there who can bind you and it is pretty close to the Butcherblock zone (which leads to unrest)

I take all my charaters to hunt the Nybright sister, great exp. I have been killed more times from Priestess L and Dragoon whatshisface wondering by the camp more then brownies.

I hunt the Nybright Sisters and the zone in general a lot. My experience is that you need to be concerned about BOTH wandering brownie scouts and Dark Elves. They are both very high level and deadly, if you're at the level to hunt the Sisters. I personally have seen more wandering brownies but have been jumped by Dark Elves as well.

The safest solution is to use camo or invis when you are not fighting and hope for the best when you are.

Now, I, and a few friends, all newbies at the time, made the choice that Lesser Faydark, could be no more powerful than the Greater Faydark. Please quote "Lesser" Faydark.

Anyhow, We went a wandering on the trails. And this is what seemed to be very odd, We came on the first trail, and I say; Ok, You guys pick so you can't blame me for getting you killed. And it Just so happens, they voted on the Trail that goes to brownie town.

Now again you must remeber, Newbies, all level 12-16, wandering in Lesser Faydark, With nothing better to do for there Winter Vacation. One godd damn brownie walks across the screen, Heres the Following Chaos;

Faldwen: Wtf is that man?!
Kylwen: What i don't see anthing
Faldwen: Right there, se it?
A Brownie Scount Begin casting a spell...
You become intwindled
Faldwen: ****, help me man, it;s rd!
Cuedal: Red too, Run man.
You are hit for 198 point of Damage
Klywen slashes a brownie scout for 12 point of damage
A brownie Scout hit Kylwen for 98 points of Damage,
A brownie scout begins to cast a spell...
Kylwen has been slain by a brownie scout.
A brownie scout begin to cast a spell.......

As you can guess, all three of us died, I'll have that brownie's *** for this. But now when i think back on it. It's Scarie that we never saw it. Something so small, so hiden, so much like a nuclear bomb. Now i'm level 24, and heading back to do the 3 tunare quests. Goodluck on any non druid trying it.

I consider myself.. myself.. myself.. the luckiest man.. man.. man.. on the face of the earth.. earth.. earth.. (Sorry Lou, I coudn't resist)

Actually, I am a halfling, not a man. But that's not what I wanted to say.

I guess I am one of the rare ones who has never (crosses fingers and toes as he clutches every religious symbol he can find) been killed by a brownie.

My halfling cleric has been camping the undead pillar at levels 14 and 15 and if anyone is brave enough to just sit around it at these levels in LFay you could be happy with the experience. (By the way, I never saw a brownie near the pillar)

Speaking of experience, at level 14 killing the skeletons and especially the mummies is good. Not so good at 15 although my main reason for staying at 15 was loot and not experience.

After camping for about 3 hours, I gated my encumbered self to the bank in Kelethin where I sold my booty (mostly cloth and daggers) for about 10pp. And I was apprehensive! If I had taken this home to my beloved Rivervale I don't know what I would have received.

A word of warning for the youngster trying this area out. 3 words or warning actually.

1) Be sure of what you are targeting and what may come with it. If you position yourself properly (on top of the hill to the NE of the pillar, for example) the path that each undead take to you will not cause any others to aggro on you. The only possible exception is the pillar itself. 2 creatures spawn there.
2) The ghoul boss spawns here. He is considerably higher level than the skeletons/mummies and looks identical to the skeleton. Make sure of your target! Call out if you see him though. You may make a friend because the Boss is part of a quest.
3) The named necromancer Larik Z`Vole and his pet spawn at the pillar. Also much higher level than the regulars. Call out again. Larik's head is needed for the Tunare Disciple quest.

Hope this helps and may your luck be as good as mine has been (so far).

I pretty much just visited this thread to see if anyone else had as much trouble with these vicious brownies as I had. Actually, the first time I ran into a brownie was in Gfay near CB. No one will believe me, but it was a brownie scout, and I never saw it, but it kept nuking me and finally killed me. Then, one day, I was wandering through Lfay, staying along the wall, of course, because we all know that's the smartest way to go. Except I found this place where there were all these really small pixie-looking things... I got a little closer to see what they were, and... BOOM!
You have been slain by a brownie something-or-other.
Returning to home point. Please wait.
Not to mention the numerous times running into these pests on the way to the Undead Generator. (Which, may I say, is great experience between like.. 9 and 12 or something).
All that time I wondered if I had killed too many pixies and maybe that had something to do with it. Well, once I'm high enough, I'd love to go raid them. Or even just stand back and heal as other people raid. Interested? Send me a tell sometime.

Yesterday I saw a Brownie Scout in Greater Fay. It just came out of the fog--walking along right in front of me! Imagine my surprise at nearly tripping over one of these in GFay after being swatted like a fly by one in LFay last week. They must be a different sort of brownie scout though from the ones in LFay cuz this one didn't aggro on me even though it was less than ten paces away. I forgot to /con it in my panicked hurry to run away as fast as possible, unfortunately ;)

It was most definitely a Brownie Scout though.

Also My brother was playing and ran into one of these it(he's a lvl 3 war) it conned even so he killed it no loot, It dot's with flame lick and nukes for 5 dmg so it's a lvl 3 druid he killed it, so I know at least one of the brownie scouts are lvl 3 in Gfay,

Once you enter your mid teens, it's going to be very hard to find a good fighting zone that does NOT include a few wandering mobs that are much higher level than you are. Giants, griffons, brownies...it's just something to start getting yourself used to. LF is just a little more dangerous than the Karanas because (1) Hill giants are a little easier to see than brownies, because they are a little bit taller <g> and (2) LF is, like GF, a pretty dark, foggy zone where the sun never really comes out.

That said, the key to avoiding most brownies is just to stay off the paths and stay out of their little corner of the map. Most of the static camps in the area can be reached by following the zone wall to the right as you exit from GF or Steamfont.

The orcs here are a nice break from crowded Crushbone. These orcs are higher in level than the orcs in GF, and similar to most of the CB orcs you'll fight.

The Nybright sisters are a nice little camp, especially if you have a druid or enchanter to help keep you from getting attacked by all four at once. I've had good luck fighting with a group of four low-teens players, and we split the loot alphabetically until everyone has four necklaces and at least one bronze weapon.

The undead camp is nice for clerics and paladins, and a lot less hectic than trying to do the yard in Unrest. The rancerous ghasts seem to be tied to the new Initiate Symbol of Tunare quest. If you do get a larger mob here than you can handle, it's probably a good time to go back to town or find a new area to fight. After all, camping the same spot for hours and hours isn't really a whole lot of fun.

If the faeries and fae drakes don't attack you on sight, don't attack back! unless you really know you need a particular quest item from them. There are some high level mobs in those camps which you won't be able to take on until your 20s and 30s. Also, if you lower your faerie faction too much, you might get ransacked by a faerie noble guard in Greater Faydark, so you'll want to be able to fend for yourself before you let your faction get that low.

This is really a nice little zone to fight in for the mid teens. Yes, the brownies are dangerous and will take you by surprise, but it's still not as dangerous as fighting in crushbone or the minotaur caves in steamfont...this is just the time in your career when you have to start watching your back a little more often.
RE: Lesser Faydark
# Apr 15 2001 at 11:22 PM Rating: Default
I hadn't thought of it like that, but you're right in comparing Giants, Griffs and those blasted Brownies. We tend to think of the Giants and Grifs as immediately dangerous because they're so damned impressive looking. You can *hear* them even if you're looking in the wrong direction, so you've got plenty of warning. With Brownies, on the other hand, your first warning is likely to be "A brownie scout casts a spell" followed by the dreaded BOOM! That's if he doesn't bother to Root you first.

The ghasts are indeed tied to the Initiate quest. You need to return 4 ghast hearts to Yeolarn Bronzeleaf in Felwithe. The problem is I've only found two ghasts so far and neither had a heart (no pun intended, but what the hell, I'll take the credit 8). I was roaming around with a friend (a lvl 16 Ranger) the other night trying to find a spawn point for them without too much success. Although we did come up with one possibility. At around 1500, -530 or perhaps a bit further to the North, there seems to be a spawn area that generates at least skels, mummies, and the occasional Shadowed Man. And the dreaded Brownie Scouts. We both died. Unfortunately we weren't around long enough to determine whether the ghasts spawn there or not. Lending some possible weight to my theory is the fact that one of the two ghasts that I've killed in LFay was on the stretch of road nearby. On the down side I've also been killed three times by #@!$%ing Brownie Scouts along that very same stretch, once immediately after I'd killed the ghast.

I'm not sure of exactly where I found the other ghast but I think it was just North of the Teir'Dal camp, maybe Nor-East.

Incidentally, there was a level 54 Druid wandering around the other night looking for ghasts too and she told me that the brownie scouts are "damned annoying" even to someone of her level! You have been warned!

I hope this helps someone pin down the elusive ghasts, but I'm going to wait until I hit 24 and get Wolf Form.

For now, I'm headed to North Karana where I can *see* danger coming! C'mere Griffawn! You're toast!

I have also seen ghasts near the undead pillar (100,2200). This area is less likely to have brownie scouts. My experiencei s the whole middle to northern area of the zone, from the GFay enterance to the west will have brownie scouts wandering around. They are small, extremely fast, and in the mid 30's, so very dangerous to most.
My guide to lesser faydark
# Apr 04 2001 at 6:29 PM Rating: Decent
This zone is death, death, death! The brownie scouts, ranging anywhere from 35 to 50, wander everywhere. They can cast spells, and are very small and barely visible, so normally you just see the LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... before you know your dead. I would not suggest going to this zone if not invised, wolf formed, or sneak/hide (yes, i have moved around the zone like that with SoW, of course...) If you are moving from Steamfont to Gfay or vice versa, stay against the wall to your left (from Gfay) or the wall to your right (from Steamfont) Trust me, it works very well and is very safe. Only things I've ever seen doing that are the occasional pained unicorns. However, this zone also conceals the entrance to Castle Mistmoor, and has the camp of four bandit sisters for the quest. To get to these safely at a less then ungodly lvl, continue on the wall past Steamfont, staying RIGHT NEXT to the wall. This is important, because otherwise you will find Brownie Scouts killing you before you know it. I have NEVER had a brownie scout come anywhere close to the edge of the zone. Soon you will see a large foot-shaped building in the distance, which is inhabited by Shadowed Men and their pets. Just stay at the edge of the zone, and you'll be fine. Continue on this path and soon you'll hit the corner of the zone (I suggest SoW, this is a pretty big area) Continue to follow the edge, and you'll soon go over the crest of a hill and look down at a Dark Elf encapment. Not sure what faction they are on, but I'm quessing this is the only time you might need to use invis/wolf from/ sneak hide. Or else just go a little out into the zone (relax) and make your way back to the edge when your past the camp. Once you pass this encampment, you'll soon see the light of another campfire. This is the camp where the four bandit sisters hang out, and good exp once you break the spawn (A pretty annoying thing to do) Good exp lvls 11-14, course almost any 11s or 12s will be brutally slaughtered trying to break the spawn untwinked, like I did. LOADING, PLEASE WAIT... Be careful here. However, it is pretty much never camped (Lesser Faydark is a VERY notorious zone, no one lvls here because of Brownies) and the brownies don't come this close to zone line, so it's safe and decent exp. As soon as you pass this camp, you see some more ancient ruins. This is the home of the Fay Drakes, avoiders of damage extroidanares :P. I wouldn't suggedt fighting these things, considering their on a faction, and if you kill too many a super-powerful one spawns. If you haven't been killing many of them, they ignore you, leaving you free to get into Castle Mistmoor, RIGHT next to the Fay Drake ruins. If you get in trouble fighting the bandit sisters or the Fay Drakes, run here and zone, the other sides relatively safe. This under-used zone has a lot more potential then it seems, considering the strategically helpfully placed elf outpost and zone entrances. Hope my guide helped you deal with this high-risk zone a little. And don't let them tiny brownies blow you up good! ;P

Pretty good advice here but I'd like to make one correction. Hunting the Sisters is fairly safe, in terms of being attcaked by high level MOBs wandering around. However, it is NOT completely safe. I have seen a named Brownie fly through the camp (thank god i was camo'ed at the time) and have been jumped by a Tier Dal Elite (dark elf) while fighting the Sisters. LFay is just a dangerous place, but i love it because there are very few other people here, its quiet, and there isn't the rudeness (for the most part) that you seen in Crushbone and other overcrowded zones.

After gaining two levels camping the orcs at 300, 600 and thinking it was time to explore, I went closer toward the center of zone for the higher level orc camps. This became known as Brownie Death, Vol 1-6.
There are opportunities aplenty in Lesser Fay if you're willing to accept doing invisible corpse runs from time to time. It doesn't matter what level you are, if more than one Brownie Scout spots you, only an uninterrupted gate or port will save you.
Like the Karanas, LFay has those super high mobs that keep us humble right when we start feeling all superior for taking down blue/black cons. But like the Karanas, you'll get lots less /shouts, SoW begging and almost no trains pulled on you. The mobs here are kind enough to kill instantly to prevent trains.
LOADING...PLEASE WAIT.

Oops, hehe accidently submitted an empty one.

The Orc chief and his place holder spawn in the south orc camp, right in the back of the middle tent. They are approx. 18-22. I am a 19 troll Sk, I was partnering with a 18 Iksar SK. They are both EASY kills for their level. Even when they popped and conned red(21 or 22) they were simple. The Chief especially, because he has a lot less hp and magic resist than his underling Leggo.
If you're around this level, and tired of CB or Unrest, I suggest you try this guy. He's on a six minute spawn, but the best part is: there's no guy behind ya waiting to take your kill. So you can rest up to full and take him at your leisure, and since the other orcs in the camps should be WAY green, they won't even bother you. Have fun

This is all fine and good till you run across one of those wonderful lvl 35-50 brownie scouts who wander the zone. The pack a nasty punch and in some cases you will see the LOADING PLEASE WAIT message before you even know what's happening :-( Also lookout for Thistle Underbrush who wanders around. Lastly there is a ranger camp not far from the orcs who do not like Trolls, Iksar, Dark Elves, and even dwarves. If you are any of the above and get to close to that camp you will quickly be swarmed by those said rangers. It is a rarely camped site though so the extra danger may just be worth the trouble. Good luck and good hunting :-)

I've been camping the Orc Chief and his Lego mate since I was level 20. I'm now level 25. This is the best solo site I've ever come across. If you're an Elf (and I am) you can't lose. The site is rarely camped (except by me), the spawn is fast, and if you get in trouble you can run to the Elf outpost for help.
Thistle Underwood does turn up every now and then, but my Wood Elf buddies at the outpost usually take care of him. I've never seen any other Brownies (although my tracking shows them to be about). The one time I got in trouble was when some high level dude was stirring up the Priestess. She turned up at the Outpost (where I rest and recoup) and killed me.
IMHO this is one of the best solo sites on Faydwer for any good race......

Last night I saw both the Pained Unicorn and a new unicorn named Equestrielle. Haven't heard anything about her. Conned red to my 12 lvl rogue. Wouldn't talk to me when hailed.

Then I was killed by a brownie. Oh, yes they will pay.

The pained unicorn is a new spawn for the Druid epic weapon quest. The Equestrielle is an old creature to Lfay. It's KoS to most evil races, and for sure isn't KoS to lvl 5 high elf clerics, but that was a while ago.

this is not a safe zone

It is true that this zone contains a lot of good loot or quest related loot. But now the brownies wander the whole zone, at lvl 43 i aviod them! The drak elves stay in their camp, but the brownies are the main reason to aviod lvling in this zone. Another problem now is the brownie associated with the Druid FA quest, he is like lvl 53 and aggro's on everything not in wolf form or invis. This little bugger also wonders. Take care in this zone!

You aint kidding brother!! If you wander in this zone without invis, camo, wolf form, or something you should have your head examined. I met the brownies on one and only one occasion without one of the above and was dead in two hits at lvl 22. I have seen the brownie scouts right at the Gfay zone entrance!! I think they wander the entire zone not just certain areas. Unless you are passing through to another zone or are here for a quest I would say there are many other places better to hunt than here. Just my opinion though :-) Good luck all!!!

This zone is one of the most interesting, and fearful zones in the game.
First of all, there are many curious and rare spawns here that either are rarely seen, drop good loot, or are quest related. This includes the RARE equestrielle, the Whimsy larktwitter (yes the bow and arrows are named after what they are dropped by), the Crookstinger wasp, That little bstard brownie guy Thistle Underbrush.
However, Thistle Underbrush, and another roaming NPC, the brownie outcast are to be avoided unless you are a much higher lvl char, or in a large group.
The zone also has a few stationary dangers including the Tier'dal camp and the Shadow man temple pillar.
Aside from that, the zone also has some great exp and loot hunting areas including The best one, the sister camp, as well as another bandit camp, the Pixie tower (frequented by the brownie outcast and sometimes higher lvl pixies) 3 orc camps, and roaming spiders and higher lvl wasps.
Four more features of the zone are the Gnome observetory which is almost always camped by higher lvl NPC killers, The Faerie village which are pretty much high lvl pixies who can cast, The brownie village, which is KoS to all but druids in wolf form and those who are invisable, and the Ranger selling station and outpost where you can buy and sell items.
The last point of interest is the ruins outside of MM. They hold the spawning point of the Fae Drakes, Colorful creatures who sometimes drop gems and are fun to kill. However, if anyone or group kills to many, the emperor drake, a medium teen Enchater spawns, who has the ability to charm and take over your body, as well as taking a lvl 21 pally to 2bubs of health.
Have fun exploring this zone, and watch for danger everywhere here.

The Nybright sisters in L Fey (loc neg700 x 2600) are perhaps some of the best exp and loot in the game for a druid. I say Druid because they have the spell Harmony that allows them to solo this camp at an obscenely low level.

The sisters are linked in pairs, the two in the rear (Jayla and Tayla) are a pair and the other two are linked (Shayla and the one out by herself). If you cast Harmony on Jayla or Tayla it will hit the other, if you pull one she will pull the other.

First off, mem Burst of fire, Snare, Skin Like Wood, Minor Healing, Harmony, Gate, and maybe Flame Lick if you like it. Then, Buff yourself and be at full hp and mana, you are not agro to them so get as close as you like and cast Harmony on Shayla, pull the one by herself and kill her, then return to the camp med to full and cast harmony on either of the two in the back, Jayla or Tayla, remember to get up close so you can see if Harmony stuck (was successful). Pull and kill Shayla, after you are ready to fight again look to see if the loner one is up again, she most likely will be, if she is just kill her and repeat the previous, if not, Harmony the ones in the back and pull one, then the other.

Killing them. The best way that I found to kill them is to pull with snare, run away and cast Burst of Fire, run and cast that three times, then turn and mele and burn as necessary. If they are yellow you might not be able to take them but if you try, dump all of your mana before engaging in mele, and after the 4’th or 5’th burn recast snare.
At level 9 they become MUCH easer to kill, mem Ignite, Snare, Shield of Thistles, Skin like Wood, Harmony, Lesser Healing and Gate. To kill them now, pull with Snare, run and cast Ignite twice, run and cast your dmg shield on your self, turn and mele to death casting Ignite as needed. When you reach level 10 you should put your Wind spell in the line up because it will be more mana efficient on the low level sisters then Ignite (but keep Ignite in your list, as it will be your primary DD till you reach level 19).

If you have a bad pull, more then one, snare all of them, run a little bit away and cast gate, time it right because odds are you will only get one chance to try it. If you are unsure about how the battle will turn out, snare and gate, a run back to the sisters’ camp to resume a fight is FAR preferable to the same run for a corpse retrieval.

There is also a VERY good quest associated with the sisters. They all drop a necklace that is lore no-drop, get one from each sister and return them to the Drunk in Kelethin, you can find him by going up and right where if you went up and left you would go to the bank platform. He will reward you with ½ bbl of exp at level 8 and an item that if you are not twinked is most likely better then anything you have or if not you can sell it for anywhere from 5 gold for the bad reward, to 3.5 plat for the best.

If your the caster type and can bind anywhere, bind yourself at the rangers camp just to the north of the sisters camp. Or if you pull from far enough away and pull to many, you can usually make it to the ranger's camp in time.. The rangers are better than any gaurds and handle brownies fairly easy as well.
