This once lush landscape was cursed by the fury of an angry goddess. Damned spirits of Humans and Elves roam through the ruins of their once beautiful cities, cursed to replay the fateful actions of their final days for eternity.

The powerful energy of the curse has drawn several visitors to the hills. A holy order of paladins hopes to cleans the curse and free the damned spirits from their torment. And nearby, a conclave of necromancers hopes to harness the power of the curse and use it for their own malicious plans.

Blinking Spirit
# Feb 16 2008 at 1:28 AM Rating: Decent
Ok, found out that he spawns off the SOS Shades in the graveyard that i never could see or pull. So, i used my mages zoom, and sometimes my wifes druid, to target the shade, /assist and then pull. Regular ancestors dont assist.
Around 5 or 6 shades spawn in the graveyard, you can see them when they spawn but after they go SOS they are not visible or trackable. They dont aggro unless attacked.

Camped for 5 hours, not one named, not one spell. Between the pain of pulling these guys, and the traps in there, and the 5 wereorcs that spawn and roam the graveyard every 20 minutes, and the total lack of nameds and spells, this is one hell of a crappy camp. If you are looking for Tier 2 gloves, dont look here.

I have been killing in the graveyard for hours and hours hoping to see Blinking Spirit spawn. No luck yet, can anyome confirm that he spawns in the graveyard?
I read that someone killed him close to the graveyard, but somehow the name blinking spirit makes me think of the whisplike mobs in this zone, the viridian ghosts.

Any info would be highly appreciated.

Blinking Spirit
# Feb 18 2008 at 6:54 PM Rating: Decent
don't know for sure as I never saw it spawned but I was in a group camping the erolli's sprite and thornheart named area near Scorn and the SK in group was also pulling the viridain ghost wisp mobs there saying that they were the ph's for blinking spirit. In the 3 hour camp there clearing constantly got 1 thornheart to pop and 2 erolli's but no blinking spirit so not sure if that is the right camp or not.
Blinking Spirit

I can now confirm that Blinking Spirit does indeed spawn inside the graveyard. It spawns off of a "A tome shade", we got one yesterday after many hours of killing, must be really rare. Unlike the SOS shades, Blinking Spirit can be tracked, and he is actually a red whisp model. He casts the same spell as the viridian ghosts, which mezzes you and blurs him, so he paths away from you when pulled. I found that pulling him from long distance and run and keep the distance, helps, he will then come for you. Easy kill for a group of lvl 80'ies boxed dropped Scratched Hide Gloves for us.

I dont know whether he also can spawn off of the wisps in the Scorn Area.

there is a npc in hills of shade named amber , her loc is on map but she is either a triggered spawn or timed spawn , she is for a quest which results in arguably the best charm aug in eq .

also the quest she is related to isn't listed , so list it and lets start figuring it out ~ name of mission is " the invasion of the defilers" you get it from the fella in the crypt in the southwest area of zone by the undead elves .

the aug is a 15 ac 90 hp/man/end 15 all resist charm only aug , hawt stuff .

Quest and Missions

Reaver Lebanezer lvl 81-83 Gnome camp

Was dubious, wouldn't speak to me. Haven't tried at indiff. Gives raid tasks.

-------------------------

Arreles Bonescrounger lvl 80

You say, 'Hail, Arreles Bonescrounger'

Arreles Bonescrounger scowls, 'Who are you? Who sent you? Did Lebanezer tell you to talk to me? I don't have time for chit-chat. Wait; are you here for the [job]? No, you can't be here for the job. We've got a lot of work to do. Don't you have [something] to do? Well spit it out! Don't make me wait all day! Wait, what time is it?'

You say, 'job?'

You have been assigned the task 'I Would Exhume So'.

Find out who is digging up the graves.
Kill 4 Wereorc Gravediggers

Reward: Dark Obsidian Faycite Shard

You say, 'Something'

You have been assigned the task 'Bigger, Faster, Stronger, Dumber'.

Kill 3 Rampaging Bonegaurds
??? (report back to Arreles)

Arreles Bonescrounger says 'Something this, something that, there's always something, always a catch! The power of the Gods is at work here you see, but as always, it comes with a price. Our Golems are tougher and stronger you see. They just don't take orders anymore. This is a problem, a big problem. You will help us deal with this problem.'

------------------------------------------

Nastel Greygore Gnome camp

You say, 'Hail, Nastel Greygore'

Nastel Greygore babbles to himself absentmindedly, 'Nastel has never seen anything like them. Their attraction to decay and their inherent strengths are most decidedly linked but more [proof] is needed before Nastel can present his theories and findings to the guild. They'll never believe us.'

You say, 'proof'

Nastel Greygore says 'By Bertoxxulous' burning britches! Where did you come from? If it weren't for Reaver Lebanezer, Nastel would smite you right here, on the spot, and bury you in a shallow grave. Or skip the smiting and bury you alive. Or feed you to the dark [Sporali]!'

You say, 'sporali'

Nastel Greygore says 'Keen ears you have, Tanise. The Sporali to the far southeast are more deadly than Nastel has ever encountered. The soil there is rich with decay. The earth is nearly black, chernozemic. They thrive on it. It makes them stronger. They feed on the remains of ancient settlers. They feed on fools that trespass into their domain. Nastel needs to know more about these Sporali and their environment. Nastel thinks you might be [fool] enough to try.''

You say, 'fool'

Receive the task The Power of Decay

Locate the remains that the sporali are feeding on.
Locate the remains that the sporali are feeding on.
Locate the remains that the sporali are feeding on.

Reward: Chipped Obsidian Faycite Shard

---------------------------------------------

Lanika Shadestepper lvl 80 Vendor

- Sells Obsidian Faycite Recrystalizer, a combine container. Need indiff or higher. Combine all 8 pieces from the quests to create: Cursed Obsidian Faycite

----------------------------------------------

Banty Bourdizzle lvl 80

You say, 'Hail, Banty Bourdizzle'

Banty Bourdizzle says 'I was hoping you would come over here. Was I staring too much? Oh, I'm sorry, I can be so rude. I assure you it's unintentional. It's just that I am working on some very [important enterprises] that need the help from outsiders in order to come to fruition.'

You say, 'important enterprises'

Banty Bourdizzle says 'Oh I just knew you'd be interested! This is wonderful. . . wonderful indeed. The research I'm doing here is paramount. The others can't [comprehend its importance], but you seem like someone who can [appreciate the gravity] of the situation.'

You say, 'Comprehend the importance'

Banty Bourdizzle says 'Its importance is of the utmost. Let me ask you this. What do you think of when I say the word [omelette]?'

You say, 'omelette'

Banty Bourdizzle says 'I just blew your mind didn't I? There are few who can have the cognitive capacity to fully appreciate the simplicity, and yet, the complexity of the perfect omelette. Many have tried, many have failed, and many have died. Well. . . maybe not died, but seriously, is life worth living if you haven't experienced the utter bliss of such a perfectly prepared pabulum? I would say "No, sir. It isn't". I digress. So, whaddya say? Will you help me forage, find, or ferret out the most [essential elements] of eating?'

You say, 'essential elements'

Receive The Perfect Omelette task

Loot 8 Borrower Egg
Loot 4 plump Maggot
Loot 12 Sprig of Rotweed
???
???
???

Reward: Marred Obsidian Faycite Shard

You say, 'appreciate the gravity'

Banty Bourdizzle says 'Yes, it is somewhat ironic that gravity is part of the problem I am faced with. You see, in order to create a perfect map of the area I would have to either be a million times taller than I currently am, or be able to fly. Fortunately I'm not that tall, and unfortunately I can't fly. . . yet. What I need is [independent data]. You see if I get data from as many independent sources as possible, I can factor out the inconsistencies in the data to reveal the true shape of the land that we're standing on without actually having to see it first hand.'

You say, 'independent data'

Receive the task Cartographical Nightmare

Mark the Port of the Damned

Mark the Haunted Elven Camp

Mark the Crypts of Shade

Most of these are either right on the spot or pretty darn close. They'll at least get you in the right area.

Note that two of the spots are underwater, and one is down in the crypts below ground.

As a rogue with SoS I was able to solo this easily. Other classes may need a bit of help.

Wereorc Packleader lvl 84

4 Wereorc Gravediggers lvl 81-83 follow him around.

He is non aggro. They are scripted, they spawn wander to the graveyard, hang out there a bit, then head out the other side and depop.

Used in the I exhume so quest (from the gnome camp).

There are at least 2 different camps here, gnomes who appear to all be Necros and SKs and Dwarfs iirc who are all paladin and clerics. Both are on seperate factions.

Spawned at 1188,2063 in a 2-mob static camp. Dropped Colorful Cloth Scraps, a quest item for the Valor camp. Level 79, snareable and rootable, not a tough fight. Not sure what purpose he serves unless he's a named who sometimes drops some decent loot but not this time. First time i've seen this mob in an awful lot of killing at this camp.

Add to the beastiary! I see him up a lot. He's totally useless, though. His loot table is no different from any aviak trash.

Has to be for a quest although there's no indication in anything he does or drops. He's KoS, sees invis, can't be rooted or snared and spawns in at least 3 different locations.

And, so far, he's a waste of time and mana.

I believe any parrot-man is a potential PHer. I've seen him in 3 different spots now. He is immune to run-speed changes, otherwise not much tougher than the trash birds.

Dropped Mottle Deathshroud, a mask for WAR MNK ROG BER (strange combo, that) with 36 ac, 298HP, zero mana (ah, a mask for pure melee) and 289 END. Plus other stats I'm too lazy to list, like 6 to FLYING KICK!
