im on bertox, as a 39 ranger. a friend might get me one of these FBSS ,but if he doesn't can i try and get it? i have 2 ssoy's and desent proc speed i also have call of sky to increase my dmg as a 35 dmg proc that procs even faster, yet my ssoy's seem to proc right after CoS. anyway i was wondering if i could go there fully buffed(hi mr 60 clerc) and beat this guy down i have good armor for my lvl and good stats im not a twink though

I hated camping the fbss. I was here for a month and gained 9 levels waiting (43 to 52) and never even saw one drop. However, I made so much cash off of plat and fine steel drops here I earned the cash to just buy one. Naturally, the next day a guildie got one within ten minutes and offered it up to the guild, but that's besides the point. A full group of 40's would be needed to take him down. It's worth it too, you can get tons of xp down here, and some other nice items if your group is good and pulls far afield.

Not to start a fight, but WTF is THAT supposed to mean? Yes, I agree completely that the poor lad would get completely raped by the Frenzied, but not becasue he's a Ranger. The fact is, higher level Rangers are damage dealers - more so than a warrior (though maybe not Rouges or Monks).

The guy asked an honest question and you bash his class. I would respond in kind, but my Ranger code prevents such petty and childish behavior.
I hear people complain that most Mages are nothing but 13 year olds with high level friends - I know plenty of wonderful Mages (if fact I am currently courting one, in the hopes that she and I have an EQ marriage) ans they are very competent players. It is people like you that mar the names of good Mages everywhere, please do some real research of EQ classes and come back when you have something a little more constructive to say.

*Cloudlore, I would not suggest taking on the Frenzied, solo. When you hit 40 (or even 45), get a good balanced group together and come back, you will have a better chance that way :)
And don't let anyone laugh at you for not having the "best" equipment out there. There is nothing wrong with not being a twink, I know I am not... :)

I think the point to be made here is of all the comments to his question, yours was the only one with a bad attitude behind it. You wouldn't have had to post a /rant if you had simply answered the question without insulting his character.

To answer the question, You would get owned if you tried to solo that camp. Without invis to undead, you wouldnt make it to that camp alone. That camp has several spawns that will keep a group busy enough until he does pop. They all hit fairly hard too. Take a group with you and expect to be there a while.

You would be dead before your first proc went off. It would take a well organized, well balanced group at 39 to take the Frenzy room.
