| Neriak is the city of Dark Elves. This is the Foreign Quarter, the western-most part of the city which is directly connected to Nektulos Forest.
Many outsiders have set up shop and home here. Most notably, this area served as a temporary home for the trolls of Grobb after they were ousted from their city by the Frogloks of Marr. They've since moved out, but a few of their brethren have remained. |

Warlord Yekesha, red to a level 62, prolbably 70. He's a troll that looks bigger than the others, but maybe that's just me bein a dark elf. He's located on the ledge above the War Supplier near the zone in. He was in a full plate suit, and had a sword that looked like an SSOY an a round sheild.
Saw two of these quest NPCS (I guess) who were on find as War Supplier (cant remember exact names). Other one was for dark elves, other for trolls. They didnt talk to any other race than the one they were for.
So I made new chara, troll, and went to talk to it. He said he wants heavy armor, not the soft ones. And weapons and shields. So I went to quickie for bazaar and picked up bronze pieces (lol). Handed em to him, and he happily ate em. Didnt get exp, didnt get anything in return, just faction up with The Dark Supplier. Some part of the upcoming wars?

Basher Mishmush and his comrades now have residence in this area and I have no idea what faction they are on, nor how to change that faction so I can once again shop and bank in Neriak.
Searched for Kwilrz Vn'Ycxa and found him in Neriak - 3rd Gate. Loc p705, n1456
Told to seek out... Selephra Giztral, Bartsre Songweaaver, Vual Stoutest, Teria Grinntli, or Ruanya Windleaf. From what I understand these are the people who tag you to go into the dungeon and give your group their adventure.

It's important to note that this location is inside the "Cuisine Excelsior." That information would have saved me a load of running around time.
Brenga is a troll on shaman faction, looking for da potions in nek forest. Get some sort of mystical doll reward. Not done, curious if this is a charm or a newbie award.

i have a question since you can no longer hand in things when u are invis how does one raise their faction with neriak now ? i know of the wine quest but thats kidna shot as i cant hand in while invis. can u hand in while fd though ? im asking this as i have a iksar shadowknight and i need to raise my faction with the neriak foreign quarter in order to do my epic later on. any help would be great. thanks =)

The trick the Neriak faction are the gnomes to the west of the newbie log. I took an iskar monk and spent 2-3 hours killing all the gnomes over there to get to indifferent with the forest guards. Then loaded up on red wine and got an invis, ran to the wine guy, did the ole sneak trick and turned stuff in. Be warned, it took more than 12 backpacks of wine, but the monk can now bank in neriak.
After the fall of Grobb, this is where the exiled trolls have fled and where young trolls start their adventures. With the release of LoY the trolls will maybe get an all new city though.

I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible for a 49 HighElf Mage to solo guards here at the entrance ? I assume I should stay near the entrance in order to zone for safety but I was wondering if anyone has any strategy or idea on pulling guards or what to expect fighting them ..ie. Harm Touch, Fear casters, Healers agro from the rest of the guards etc. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hey all, this is Wilee again. Just wanted to add that I have since entered Nerriak and am disappointed that I missed the guards being dark blue. At 49 the main guards inside con LightBlue and are no problem for my Earth Pet. They resist quite a bit but once the spawn is broken I pull with Malisement and send in the pet. With LavaShield and Burnout3 He simply wears these guards out. However Divn L'Crit wandered up front and layed a heck of a HarmTouch on me for about 540 dmg.. Ran and zoned, he was attempting Fear and something else as I hit the zone. These guards would be quite good XP at maybe 47 just be careful of wandering reds and be ready to run. Drops were between 5gp-5pp and up to 2 Fine Steel Weapons or 1 FS weapon and a shield. Sometimes a Rune or some Words. Long spawn time 5min plus but you may need it for mana regen at 47. Hope this info helps out any bored Mage looking for excitement.

Posted: Jun 04 2002 at 11:39 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) a weary dwarf paladin entered a tavern which was filled with ogres trolls and dark elves who were drinking having fun until he entered everyone glared at him he didnt mind the dwarf sat down and asked for a drink then the bartender handed him an ale he was thirsty an ogre stood up and said "hey no dwarves allowed in this city get outta here" he said and a troll supported him by saying "yeah dwarves r for nothing but to be pickles for ogres" "muahahahahahaaha" they both laughed but the dwarf didnt mind as he took his ale to drink it the ogre pushed his head which made the dwarf spill the ale then everyone at the tavern was laughing at the poor dwarf paladin the dwarf reached for his sword then said something to himself and let it go the ogre said "look at the wimp he cant even pick up a sword" then the dwarf got down from the wooden stool and took out a fiery avenger everyone gasped as the dwarf jumped up high to the ceiling and cut the ogre and the troll before he came down with spinning combos everyone left the tavern as soon as the last person got out 2 guards went in but the dwarf was gone and there was only the front door as exit which the guards just entered one guard stayed as the other one ordered to seal the gates but they found no dwarf or a paladin
can we say "geek"?

I know this reply is long after your post but perhaps it will help someone else in need and reading this. You can find the Soulbinder in the Neriak Foreign Quarter. As you zone in from Nektulos Forest follow the ramp down into the city. Turn left at the Hall of the Fallen ( the building directly in front of you). Pass the Smugglers Inn (there will be a bar with a porch on your right...that's the Inn). Soulbinder is directly ahead next to a merchant. Safe travels.

This is true. The red wine faction increase thing is one of the best things in Neriak. If you hunt that troll, Ratraz or whatever his name was again, sooner or later your faction will go down. Doing this mini quest will make sure it stays up. I'm a dark elf necromancer and I start out amiable in Neriak with everyone.. and I still did it from time to time just to be safe.

Wanna sell and Bank in Neriak? Wanna impress all the dark elves and necro/SK's that run in and out of Neriak? =)
All you need is Invisibility or Superior Camo, and about 100pp for Red wine.
More if you have killed Dark Elf guards or hunted orcs too much.
Free up space and buy as much red wine as you can. Next.. go into the Neriak library.
Go into the little room to the far left.
Lokar ToBiath is in there.
Invis up and give him 16 red wines, 4 in each slot (yes,it works that way)
You'll have to invis to give him the wine first if you are dubious or lower faction with him. Your faction with him will raise very quick however.
Give him about 5 backpacks worth of that wine just the way I told you above,then go out of the room (Invisible!) and target a Guard. Make SURE that it isn't Kazan Punox or another fancily named NPC. Then,go back into the Lokar ToBiath's room. Cast a spell to get your SCamo/Invis off,then con the guard.
Depending on your charisma and wether or not you killed anything dark-elf-related,it should con Dubious.
Keep turning in wine till those guards you target become at least dubious.
It's ok,when you get some guards up to dubious,most will be indifferently!
Merchants (ALL merchants...even the one's in the Ogre section of Foreign Quarter!!) will be Warmly,a few being indifferent (if they are beta neutral)
You will still be KOS in some places, con Everything and DON'T go into the 3rd Gate without invis. Those NPC's in there are mostly Guild guards that will attack no matter what!
I am a Wood Elf Druid who never killed any Dark Elves or never really hunted in CB,in fact,didn't hunt orcs much at all except to get to level 3 maybe. It took me roughly 9 to 10 backpacks worth of wine to become Indiff-warm to the guards and merchs.
Might seem like it would take a long time but not really,It can get boring...give it two-three nights.
If you killed Dark elf Guards: Expect to buy nearly 20 backpacks worth of wine to get unKOS.

I, 51 mage, can single pull them with the cancel magic spells or the malise spells. You just have to use a spell that makes no damage, like the shaman slow spells.

X'la Tempi, X'la Tompi, and X'la Timpi are not on the list. They stand on the top of the guard wall and give out the necro word quests. They also drop robes of enshroudment when killed (I was allowed to loot once). I am told that they're level 45-50.
