I wanted to ask you fine people of EQif a little 22 lvl druid could go here and fight and get good exp.If i can could i group and kill hill giants if so please tell me.
P.S. im not what you say?i think it's a twink is'nt it? MY wis is at 200 and i got plenty of mana . ive made all my money from killing orc cent and orc legos and selling belts and shoulder pads. please can i go ang kill giants in a good group ?

You are an e-bayer i can tell. If you are such a noob you wouldnt have 200 wis. WIS is much harder to get than INT, so you would have a hellva time getting 200 wis if you were such a noob. and you would get ripped by the HG's.

sorry, but at 22 they would mop the floor with you. They range 33-37 as stated above, no druid can solo something that much higher than him heh.

Actually there are 2 types of drakes, one not listed here. One that is a PH for Hasten, etc., and one that appears to have the same general spawn area, but will spawn even when Hasten (and presumably others) are still up. First time I've ever seen it, the name is 'an obsidian drake' which looks just like 'a drake' but cons green at lvl 33 instead of dark-blue. Presumably the scale drops off 'an obsidian drake' and not just 'a drake', but when I looted it this time all that was dropped was some coin.

Man, watch out for that guy, he ain't worth it, he dropped 41plat and a topaz. Took me like half an hour to kill him. Took me 12 drifting deaths (650dmg each) and about 10 roots (160dmg each) to take him down. 10K HPs or so, I realized what mistake have I made just after 3 DDs... that's what I normally use to drop an HG, 3DDs didn't do much to him. He resisted about half of my roots and an initial snare 2-ce! One tough giant for sure.

HOW COME the zharzar (i think thats how his name is spelled) isnt listed .. its alvl 55 cleric drake ... bad as mo fo cheals lots of hp ... drops item for sk epic ned 2 groups of 50+ to take it down possibly 3 or 1 group of 60's to kill it .. it spawns by z Zazamoukh .... the 55 cleric drake is a really nasty green drake nuks about 1200 dd if i remember correctly .... and doesnt go oom easy can get off 20 cheals before going oom ... and very very high mr ... heh thats how i know how many cheals it got off before oom .. kept resisting lal the stuns

Today as I was searching for a hill giant group near the patio in Rathe Mountains, I stumbled into a strange undead animated servant named "Grass's Pet" walking back and forth in the far South corner.
I quickly slayed the green pet with a single nuke only to discover an invisible NPC named "Grass" to summon a second without hesitation. I casted see invis; however, there was no Grass to be found and the newly animated pet continued to tread to and fro.

Oy, I saw it too, killed the pet like 10 times hoping the thing would aggro me.. The mob grass did the necro AE heal thing, 2 times.. I was thinking, maybe it's the ground's pet? :P

Anybody know what Blackwing is for? Hes a drake that conned yellow to my 34 shaman. He dropped a basalt scale for my partner tho.

Blackwing is part of the Bard epic. It drops "NO-DROP" drake guts.
It's level 40. Casts some magic. I solod it (with my bard). Did get close enough to find out melee dmg, i kited him for the whole 3 minutes it took to take him down. He did cast a couple of spells on me from pretty far range, dmg was from 3-56 and i didn't have any MR buff up.

Ten 55+ level cons showed up on track for me today. I found them in a walled off area I never noticed before in the back of the lobe behind Zazamoukh near neg2000 pos2000. The names were as follows: Archon Mardeus N'Vidi, Kahaptra Z'Tet, Aesha L'Rei, Captain L'Rei, Versundi the Belligerant, Kovren Niseres, Risalis Arnilion, Navariz Tas'Rel, Tyazia D'Auro, Swayan Atharis, and level 39-51 con Acolyte Xiari Vilyr with pet. The few I could visually con from a very distant rise scowled at my Wood Elf Druid. Anyone have any information on these fellows?
I was playing around on Test with Project M. I was a lizard man in RM, and I'd remembered seeing these guys on my main char, but since I was KOS didn't check them out. Since I was a mob, I had nothing to lose, so went down there they were aprehensive, so didn't attack.
The weird thing is that, when I finally had enough of that mob I attacked one of them, I couldn't hit it at all, but it didn't attack back, I tried it to several of them and none attacked back. My last step was when I attacked one that had a pet, the mob didn't attack me, but the pet did. Has anyone tried attacking them with a real PC? Or walked in there while KOS?

They are on primordial malice faction and started off glower dubious to my dark elf of innoruuk.
She raised them to amiable killing dorn(nro) and gix(wc) a lot. Dorn and gix's factions are a bit different now and they raise Primordial malice when dying. She got dorn and gix down to indiff and apprehensive from amiable, then malice was amiable when she went back.
Archon is the cleric trainer, the others are other trainers. They are all red to a level 55 except for Xiari Vilyr who is blue. Archon was conned by someone 60 and he is at least level 63.
Captain L'rei gives a quest to take a note to Acolyte xiari Vilyr, the mage lady in the fbr with a pet. He just says Xiari Vilyr though, as does the note. You give the note to her and there is a fanfaire but no faction or anything and she gives you another note to take to izera in south ro.
At first, you did not even get the note from Xiari to give to Izera in south ro (though she mentioned it) I wrote in to the developer's board on the everquest site about this as I'm sure many others did. After the halloween events, she started actually giving you the note to give to izera.
However, the quest is still broken at that point. You give the note to Izera in sro (moves between the druid and wiz portal things there and a bit beyond, dark elf in velious chain looking texture with blue bottom hanging out (she is so naughty!) ) and she makes no response/gives no faction/gives you anything else/etc. So its broke at that point still.
I also wrote in to verant about it being broke at that point.

All I can tell you is that they are or were related to the Lanys T'Vvyl (sp??) / Child of Hate story, that saw the overhaul of Befallen for a few short weeks. As a dark elf I was able to speak with them. Many (all in fact bar the Captain) are in fact guild trainers. The Captain spoke of my "sacrificing my eternal soul to the return of our dark lady" (Lanys). These are members of the Primordial Malice. Some of you may have noticed faction hits against them. They want you to give up the worship of Innoruuk. In favour of what I'm not very clear on since it was laid out in the newspapers over the last several months, and I can hardly remember a word of it. :)

My dark elf cleric of innoruuk was glower dubious to them. I have remembered primordial malice hits but can't remember where, and they say they are primordial malice.
Evidently my faction is not high enough since two people near the captain say to talk to him but he disses me when hailing. He says the same thing when I say
"what dark lady?"
So that is evidently a key word if faction is higher with him?

I soloed the Hg's at 30. took quite a while for I had to recast my new ensnare spel 2 times. Kahuna exp though. I would pull and kyte them way over to he unkempt druids to avoid any other agro including any stupid lizzards. This was before the change where root will stack with snare. should be lots easier now. just DONT USE THE NEW ROOT. USE THE LEVEL 5 ROOT to save mana.

my 59 was walking to lake rathe.. i looked at the map and decided to take the harder way... then something casted a spell.. i've been nuked 1340 points of damage.. it was a long time ago..

it'll take about 4 days.. just solo the high level mobs and get 9 pp each...
or ask a rogue to steal over 40pp.. in another grou.. hehe
oh yea one more thing.. if you and your group are greddy....u disarm the giant.. and steal money from it.. after it is dead the weaon will be on the floor pick it p and let group /randomg 100 for it.... roges can steal 40pp.. split that with group.... group will like you.. i swear.... make sure there isn't no gm there.. or else.... hehe..

i've been looking for a mob.. i forgot what the DAMN name is... the mob is a quest for the journey man boots.. i hate begging from people and i want to get this boot right now!!!!! ahhhhhhhh... somebody better help me.... i've been in rathe mountains in about 2 months and nobody answered my question... i'm getting kinda mad.. i was thinking if u guys can help or give me some information about how to get the boot.. cause i got killed lots of times for the journy man boots and still didn't get it yet.. This is easily the simplest mob you have to kill for bard epic, one of the two you can solo. Just go to rathe mntns, to the area around the evil sphynx (check map at www.eqatlas.com)... his name is Zaza-something, forget exactly. I was scowls to him in normal form (wood elf) and still threateningly in both Iksar and DE form, but thats probably because of my deity (Veeshan, screws up faction with right about everyone). I believe that all normal evil races (including iksar) are non kos to him, as well as agnostic bards in evil race form.
Anyway, in the area there are many different kinds of drakes... simply track them and kill them, they're quite low level... after about 20 mins of doing this, Blackwing spawned, he looks like a big drake, and was green at 51. I soloed him very easily, didnt even have to kite him, just meleed. I think he's in the low thirties in lvl. Has no special abilities i noticed except the normal silly drake breath.
Oh and by the way, there is another named drake that spawns there... but this is a green drake, he's lvl 55, flies faster than selos and is for the SK epic... many who have done this camp have had him spawn and died before they knew what hit them, I was lucky enough not to. Good luck with him, he's as easy as the bard epic gets =)

Umm..you forgot a named onyx drake named "Blackwing" drops the onyx drake guts used in the bard epic, im not totaly sure what lvl he is but he is green to me at 48...I completely forgot to get a screenshot of him, was to excited that he spawned lol

Blackwing was blue to me at 45 but very easy indeed. Had no idea who he was but since he was blue I killed him. Sorry bards!

I read somewhere theres a female ogre that drops ore to make fine plate may be just a rumor but if true anyone know the name for it and what lv she is.

Ukla doesn't drop the ore, she sells the ore. She's a merchant at #11 on the EQ Atlas map.

heard of an NPC in here named Draketaer...never heard of him but supposedly drops 2 fairly nice whips. One being 8/22 and the other a 4/11. been lookin for the spawn but no one here has seen him on track. anyone ever heard of him?

Draketamer is a sarnak found in Frontier Mountains... not Rathe. He spawns in the NW part of zone as part of the Brute/sarnak named cycle.

Has anyone seen him spawn on Drinal. To be honest, I have spent alot of time with my ranger at varies stages of his life hunting HG's for xp ( and now for their coin ) as well as with my Bard and have *never* seen him or heard anyone on Drinal seeing him.
I did split from Mithinal Marr but I am thinking his spawn could be broken on Drinal for one reason. Next to the 3 orc camp and near the Paladin camp, there spawns a single orc. Problem is, he spawns under the world and preceeds to slash himself 20 seconds after spawning. Perhaps this is a the roaming orc that people talk about as being a possible PH'er. And orc priest can also spawn instead of the warrior.
For those future readers of this thread, could you please post if you've had any luck in spawning him or killing him and tell us the Details. Where he was killed, where he roams and what you *think* could be his PH'er.
As far as the orc spawning under the world on Drinal, it's been petitioned as well as a bug report sent in but knowing Varent it will be 4-6 months before they fix it.

Don't know, while trying to camp Grakz the Berserker, I came across some guy named G????? the wretched or the wicked (will repost to confirm) near the ruined town. Just wondering if anyone else knows who this guy is. Don't see him on the list above. Maybe a new NPC? conned blue to me (40 warrior) and dubious. Said something about my breath and to get lost :)

Glaron the Wicked is part of the shaman FA. Drops a shield. Don't bother trying to rip off shaman doing this quest buy selling it for some rediculous price. He's a peice of cake for any shaman that has gotten this far.

I recently soloed Blackwing. I Chant-kited him. It took me all of 60 seconds or so to kill him (maybe longer, but he dropped like a rock). He didn't cast, and he never got close enough to hit me. Chant of Flame and Chant of Frost, and Selo's. Easy kill. Almost embarassingly easy for an epic mob.
I expect the problem is getting him to spawn. I was, um...getting cash from HGs when I saw him on track. Basically, I don't know how hard it is to get him to spawn. /shrug

He is relativly rare. Not horribly so though. If I were looking to kill him Id hook up with a tracker and go hunt hill giants for a few days. I see him on tracking about 2 or 3 times a week. He spwans near the south sphinx and on one occasion I had the sphinx assist him. Maybe I just got to close or maybe they are pals. /shrug
