| The evil-aligned Bloodsabers guild makes its home in the catacombs of Qeynos, quite the unwelcoming place for those who come from the city's top side.
The rest of this aqueduct system - half dry, half water submerged - is littered with a variety of creatures from zombies, rats, snakes, and alligators to fish, sharks, and piranhas. Also found here is a band of smugglers, but they stick to the east-northeastern tunnels. |

I'm not seeing any gators on the list other than "a small alligator". If memory serves me there should be one along the lines of "a bloated alligator" that can spawn in their place. It's been a loooooong time since I camped it, but back in the day lower levels camped him for the egg it dropped. It sold to merchants for almost a plat or something. Memories brought me to this zone's page so I'll just go to the zone and find out. =D

Lahn Whinstone paths between the Cleric and Warrior guildmasters in the Bertoxxulous shrine area.
Appears to be a Shadowknight - plate wearing human with skele pet.
No response from hail.
Red con to lvl 3 necro, grey to a 65th lvl tracker.

theres a new mob kicking around in the aquaducts ... Malka rale .. she cons even to me at 48 .. and hits like a ******* spells wont stick cant land a hit ... i had to FD with virt she was hitting for 180/180 dubble hits on me

Found this mob down in the sewers where the thugs are, I have never seen him before this incounter, seems to level 9 or10

I saw a skeleton mob down here just yesterday named "Ronn Castekin" or something like that. Dropped a torn parchment, too. I'm not too sure what it is used for.
Conned green, safe to a level 28, so I am not too sure what his level is.

The Castekin quest originates in Surefall Glade.
I tried to do this one as a young Ranger but never got Ronn to spawn.

I ran into this skeleton right at the zone in from north qeynos. He coned darkblue to me at lvl 3! So I killed him easily. He droped a note and had faction hits from the following:
Bloodsabers got worse
Guards of Qeynos got better
Opal Dark Brair got worse
Priests of life got better
Corrupt guards of Qeynos got worse
Can only imagine he's lvl 2. I cought him again soon after I killed him wandering towards the North Qeynos zone in. Hope this helps!

One other mob - called 'an undead knight' drops a Limestone Ring +5hp ... if you are facing where the bait masterson(sp?) spawns go to your left down till you get to a room filled with water. look towards the wall and there will be a small chunk taken out. thats where he spawns. He is a rare spawn ph is 'a fish'

There is another mob a Bloated Alligater - Drops Alligater meat and a Chunk of Meat. Spawn with the small alligaters.

I have killed quite a few 'a bloated alligator'. Either 2 to 3 'a small alligator ' will spawn or 1 bloated. Theres no pattern which will spawn. So far the bloated has dropped 'Alligator Egg' 2 at a time, 'Chunk of Meat', and/or 'Gator Meat'
Malka Rale, not listed above, but inquired about below: don't know her exact level but can tell you that I was down there last night and came upon her - she was memorable because she was the only thing down there that conned red to me, a 30th lvl Paladin. Hope that helps!

Conned blue to a lvl 54
I found a skeleton named Ronn Castekin he drops a torn parchement a letter to his wife about how he joined the bloodsabers and had his flesh ripped from his bones. I don't see him on this list of creatures in the aqueducts and I also can't find a quest involving his torn parchment does anyone have any ideas. His life's name is Merona maybe if I cna find her any clues.
does anyone know the lvl of malika rahl? I know she starts the rouge epic, but the $%$# killed me WAY too many times for me to not want her dead in my old age.

In doing the Paw of Opalla quest to make some pp I have been down there quite a few times. Last night I went down and found a new NPC around the corner from the spawn point of Vin Moltor and Bait Masterson (she is right by the injured investigator) named Fellewini the Kraven. She cons dark blue to 59 and is dubious to me ( I am kindly to Qeynos Guards). Anyone know what she is for?
Also curious what the injured investigator is for as I do not see him in list.

well, from lvl 8 to 14 you can go in and hunt the smugglers/ringleaders and thugs, they can be semi tough but their exp is incredible

New npc found at /loc 650 230. Dropped an alligator egg the first (and only) time I killed it.
Yes, it's true, I have gone out of my way to get good faction with the Bloodsabers. my faction won't go over warmly, but who needs it to go any higher? I play on Vallon Zek, and let me tell ya. People really question themselves when they see me. Anyway, there's an NPC in here named Malka Rale. What is she for? I have yet to find anything on her. Any info would be nice, she's a pretty nasty chick if you try her.
I'm almost done with getting components for the Bertoxx caster staff. Has anyone gotten this or know the stats on it?
I'm a 27 DE - Necro. There are a few spells that can be purchased in the catacombs. Will the NPCs sell to me? or do I need to get someone to purchase for me?

pfft he is levevl 3 mob and when you attack him first thign he does is doubleds for 32 unlesss you do 9dmg or over cause he only has 9hp but bewhere if you miss your first attack and your only a few lvls over him you screwed

Are these catacombs crawling with Goodies on Sullon Zek. This would be an amazing zone to create an SK in with the noobie creatures and the 20% exp bonus. I created one there last night and only a couple others in zone. One of which was a chanter who I frustrated by running behind the specs. lol gotta love the specs for guards.

Ah, yes, the Qeynos Catacombs. This one place that comes into true light only on the Sullon Zek server.
I am an Iksar Necromancer, and I haunt these catacombs with a vengence burning in my blood. Goods come here to hide and level from the Newt Scourge that has a stranglehold on this area. Level 35+ Newts come down here to hunt our beloved Spectres. But rare indeed is the Newt who can say "Hail, Commander Kane." and live to not go on a CR.
I often shout, "The Catacombs are the Realm of Bertoxxulous!" so that interlopers may know on who's ground they tread. These are dangerous times, and I will gladly assist my dark brethern in the depth of Qeynos Aqueducts...

btw, Iksar are dubious to Bloodsabers upon arrival here. You can bank! Faction increases are best obtained by killing Gharin in SQ and giving that little shrimp's note to Nomaria Doseniar in the Cult's Stronghold. Good Luck.

Dude,Koriantor , That thing you said about 'defending' the catacombs almost inspired me to create a character of Bertoxxous and play it on that server. Actaully, it was Gilgame that inspired the Bertox Diety, becuase as a Shadowknight, I always thought Pain and deseace was the way to go.
I have now created on of the three Heretic Brothers on the server, Sullon Zek, in order to defend the sewers from light :)

If you are impatient for Bloodsaber faction gains like I was, and don't care about being "extra" KOS to the Priests of Life, Knights of Thunder, Guards of Qeynos and Antonius Bayle (is anyone even on his faction?), head over to Blackburrow and smack around Scout Malityn. He sits on a ledge next to the water leading from the Tactician's room. 8 kills brought me from dubious to "cannot possibly get any better". Not to mention that for a level 10 mob he drops insane loot.

That analogy might work, if the God of Fear and the God of Disease were playing in the NFL on that distant planet of Terra. But Cazic-Thule fully endorses the causation of Fear through Disease. That is the Beauty of Sullon Zek. The Evil Gods have combined their power to strike fear in the hearts and Disease to the weak bodies of Druids and Rangers all over Norrath.

this place is a pit asking to be taken. the loot here sucks. however, the spectres are very good exp here esp with the bonus. as a paladin i eat undead for breakfast. any evil who stands in my way will have to first make it past the qeynos guards then me.
as for newts. hah. any newts dumb enough to come down here can expect to be coined or trained by a rat. i have no patience for newts. evils on the other hand have a bit more honor then newts which people might find puzzling. but on the same token in the right conditions the same will happen to them.
as for the bertoxxulus, cazic-thule conflict, bertox is allied with nobody. hes an enemy of rallos zek who is also evil. anyone who worships bertoxxulus is sick.
