| Freeport is the gateway into Antonica, acting as a hub of sorts for the continent. The western part of Freeport is home to the Knights of Truth, Ashen Order, City Hall, Freeport Bank, and Academy of Arcane Scientists.
At the western edge of the city is the courtyard leading into the Commonlands. This zone is full of low level rats, orcs, skeletons, and bats which provide excellent hunting experience for people just starting out. Also of note here in West Freeport is the portal to the Plane of Magic, located on the top floor of the Academy's tower. |

Joshua is aprt of the Fiery Defender quest I believe. You ask the peasen woman outside the bakery for some water or something close to that, and she gives you a bucket, not sure where, but you're supposed to get the bucket blessed I think, then give the water to joshua. At least thats as good as I can remember

I've talked with this guy for awhile, he started to talk about the Realm of Heroes (which i beleave is mentioned alot and no one has found ot). He then started to sing some songs. This was after the new path on May 30. I talked to him on May 29 and he did not do the same things he did now. Here is what he said:

Malloy: Ah, excellent! Would you like to hear about my [childhood] or would you like to hear how I was sent to the Hall of the [Realm of Heroes]?

Malloy: Those who perform heroic acts in the face of the Gods usually get sent to the Realm of Heroes. While I'm not sure what heroic act i performed, I was sent to the Realm of Heroes by a [vision of loveliness].

Malloy: While i traveled from Qeynos to Freeport, the most beautiful female I have ever seen followed along behind me. When I tried to speak with her, she did not respond. After one of my performances in Freeport, this beautiful goddess of a women approached me, gently took me by the hand and guided me as we faded away. I found myself in the [Plane of Music] where a concert was performed in my presence.

With harmonic winds blowing across the demi-plane...
The Maestra conducted the creatures without vane.
Her voice echoing thoughout in a serenity stream...

In response to some posts below suggesting the people trying to sneak around FP have done something wrong:
This is not the case. First, Guard Fikus, the one standing outside the militia house sees through invis. Run by him quickly. Second, MANY guards IN that house DO see through invis. Roamers and newbie guards do not.
Basically, if you're KOS and not looking to fight guards, just don't venture into any buildings.
This comes from someone took part in a WFP raid for the paladin epic (Lucan: from KOS to 'kindly' in NFP after one night!)

Has anyone here had a run in with those pesky casters at the Arcane Science Building? I finally had my revenge on them for the times they killed me. Not bad exp either if you can lose the faction. Much easier to kill than the warriors, but they do cast rather hard. After they are broke up makes for a pretty fast spawn.

My friend, an Ogre shaman ran a bit to close to them, and was killed in short order. anyone know what faction they are, and how We might be able to raise it for her?

I'm a level 4 paladin and I don't know what to do. Anything i kill near the towns are too ez and don't give me any exp. *very little* What monster should i kill? And where are they? I'm at the city of Freeport

I would suggest going to EC and hunting Fire Betlees and ORc Pawns. They don't have good loot, but you can do the orc pawn quest in WC to raise factions with militia and get xp.

Okay, here is a rather time-consuming, but pretty inexpensive way to raise faction if you can do it...
If you are not KOS to the guards in the Commons, you can do the orc pick quest. I am a bard and I wanted the +3 Militia Tunic, so I went to vendors in E. and W. Commons and bought about 100 of those damn picks for about 1 gp each and ran them 4 at a time down to Guard Valon in W. Commons (toll gate). He, along with all other E. and W. Freeport guards, was dubious to me when I started this. By the time I had turned in about 25 sets of picks he was still "apprehensive" but high enough that with faction song he would go amiable and give me the pouch for dervish rings. I combined, gave back to him and got the token. Back in WFP, faction song got me to amiable with the armorer at this point, and when I turned in the token I got the tunic. Now I am amiable without faction song in ALL zones of FP--North, East, and West.

Need to do Rebbie and Janam note quests. About 60-65 times each. Must use someone to carry the notes for you.
Look at the posts for Sir Lucan D'Lere...there's a post there regarding the rebuilding of faction with the FP Militia.
By the way...if you're a Paladin, it's your DUTY to be KOS in West and East FP.

There are two secret entrances at either side of the gate. Just follow the wall from the gate either left or right and they are both in the corner when the walls turn West. Just walk into the wall...

my friend wants me to meet him in a tunnel because he cannot come in because he is a troll. Where is this tunnel? He told me to follow a wall and then I wold zone and then the wall would be sand where would I be if I started at the gate of west freeport in the East commonlands where would I go?

I was killed by Tyrsa Henic in West Freeport the ohter day. I know I am KoS and hated cuz I am a Dark Elf and SK. but the guard's don't do anything. and I was runing (doing noththing but that) and sudenly I was killed by Tyrsa Henic and I whan't to know why ??? she did not say anything she just killed me.

I ran from Neriak to WFP and there was something in the tunnels called a "Drowned Citizen"

I was attacked by, there yellow to a 9th lvl rogue, and they have a nasty disease dot, if you standing the dot is doind damage every tick, if sitting you dont lose or get any health back. In a fue levels, I'll be back for some payback.

Today my poor lvl 4 high elf enchanter was exploring the sewers and was killed by these in the pit of water.Came back with Hadaxf to deal with them and saw three ugly prisoner looking people. 2 high blue and one low blue at 13.I had to go to the oasis but a lvl 22 druid killed them and said they dropped zombie skin and cash.

My lvl 9 Shaman and my friend, a lvl 9 monk went down there exploring and were attacked by these guys. He fell in the pit and was killed up the tunnel and I escaped to the tunnel. We came back with his lvl 41 druid and I let them punch my shield of thorns until they died. Loot was coinage, leather shoulderpads, raw-hide boots and zombie skin. We still were each poisoned but nothing we couldn't heal away.

I killed one today...aggroed on my 25th Level Iksar Shaman. I looted zombie skin (nothing important) and another item: Waterlogged Flesh! It's Magic, Lore, All-All, 7.1 Stone Weight and it says Effect: . That was it, no effect listed after the colons. It wouldn't do anything when right-clicked nor would it fit into any wearable inventory slots. It IDs as Lore: Waterlogged Flesh. I haven't found this info on any sites yet.

The waterlogged flesh is a quest item. My friends cleric has to obtain some.

Hi, I was doing the quest for rebby the other day and when I was leaving the theatre heading back to EFP I passed a female NPC she looked like a dark-elf type and she conned threatingly to me. She was beating on some other unfortunate passerby as I ran by. Does anybody have any idea who this person is or why she was threatingly to me and beating on the other person? I was using a level 1 bard so I couldn't have been KOS I don't think so anyways. I haven't killed anything or gotten any faction up or down yet. Thanks for any help.

I had a very strange thing happen to my friend and I the other day in the militia house. We were waiting for Sir Lucan to spawn. To pass the time we decided to duel each other for fun. As we were dueling this caster named "Bello Fruegonos" pops out of nowhere and says something like "how dare you disturb my studying" and "I hate paladins like you". He then begins to nuke my lvl 40 paladin friend and kill him in short order and disappears. What the hell was that? Never heard of or seen this guy before - anyone have any info about him im anxious to hear.

I'm an iksar necro, and I was passing through W Freeport. When I ran by the Militia House, guards Fikus and Fralldo started spewing "You are not welcome...blah blah..." and whacked me in 1 sec. And no, invis did not drop on me, cause I tried running through with SoW a 2nd time and the same thing happened, they started running after me. SUCKS! They see invis! So if u are kos, dont try to run by the Militia House without SoW.

They dont see thru invis. I have an iksar monk in fp and i walked thru the militia house without being jumped. You probably had invis vs undead on =P

Actually, there is 1 guard that stands right outside the militia house that can see thru invis..he does it every time..and I have a druid with Superior Camo...it was prolly implemented to stop peeps from getting close to Sir Lucan if they are already KOS

Hey, where's guard dungwatch on this list? He spawns in the sewer going to north freeport, he's killed my pally a couple of times but he's rarely there. What level is he?

Yes everyone there is a Guard Dungwatch. He spanws at the same spot as Toxdil, so you will be running into the tunnels and instead of a nuetral DElf theres a mean guard waiting for ya. However I was able to outrun him easily with my 39 Dwarven Warrior. Since I was going through FP many times that day I jsut got tired and me and a 45 Pally took him out. He's about as tough as Slate but it can be done with good use of root. Oh, and Dungwatch was yellow to me so he's lvl 40 or 41. Loot is standard FP militia loot. Just be careful and don't let people kill Toxdil as this might cause him to spawn

Sat down on the wall and waited. At 10am game time she complains about how heavy the water is. I asked her about water (anything you say to her it will be "water" that triggers her response). Her brother needs it because he is sick with a burning fever. She is also sick but can still move a bit. I couldn't get any further with her. Giving her water got no reaction, nor could I get her to tell me who or where her brother is.

Her "quest" is really simple: Tell her "I will take it" exactly like that, and she gives you a pot of Lore Magic Nodrop water. Give it to Joshua in the brownloe bakery. at this point, I think she's supposed to despawn, but she doesn't. What you get back is a "pure bucket of water" which IDs as "blessed by sacrifice"
Could be druid and/or cleric quest, I guess.
Oh, she's green to a level 30 necro, but she has INSANE hp or regen. Took me a full load of DoTs plus a SLTW-enhanced pet to kill her. She DID drop veggies though

I believe that the 'Bucket of Purified Water'(correct name??) is part of a not so simple quest for the Paladin Epic Quest sword, Soulfire. It is used, I believe, to purify one of the sword's unblessed components. My lvl 12 Druid noticed her while doing Jan & Reb (did those so many times, for the faction, [which is also helpful in HH & Qen] that we're on nickname basis) and went over, got the water after a few minutes probing and was heading for the bakery when, " A Drowned Citizen hits you for 13...", then another whack and I'm thinking, 'Whoa, this is in WFP etc. A nearby guard never interfered and in fact, just went on his rounds. Anyway, soon as I recovered what wits I have I hit my "Z" and started whacking away...and away... with my trusty fishpole!! LOL. Hey, you come to town to relax, (if you're not KOS heheh)no buff of course, never heard of this guy before... ACK! Finally got out my staff and started thumping him. Luckily he wasn't so tough; beat him up for 194 & finished him off with a 36pt Ignite. Gave me Disease, mild, Sm change and some common flesh, I forget. That's just my 31/2 cps worth.

Paladin Epic Weapon is not Soulfire it's Fiery Defender but this is indeed a part of the Paladin Epic Quest. You need Soulfire to get Fiery Defender though. Well actually you need Soulfire and Ghoulbane to get Fiery Avenger and you need Fiery Avenger to get Fiery Defender.
Anyway to get Soulfire you have to Kill Lucan. And if you kill Lucan you become KOS to the Freeport Militia (well maybe not if they con warmly to you but the faction hit for killing Lucan is HUGE). So you have to watch your back while you fo this quest since the Militia Guards will be thumping at your back before you know it. So that makes this quest just a little bit harder.
