GULF OF GUNTHAK: This port is the gateway to the lair of the Broken Skull Clan. It serves as the home for the newly recruited clan members and temporary housing for anyone that the clan trusts just enough not to kill outright.

Anyone wishing to learn about this fierce group of Trolls should start here and, if they are lucky, find the passages into the deeper parts of Broken Skull Rock.

Missing from this list is
A Broken Skull Augur
They guard the passage to Dulak and the Castle, and are on the same spawn table as the broken skull seers and mystics.
The mystics are shamans, seers are necros, though they never have pets, and the augurs are wizards.
Very dark blue to 52, hits for 115ish, with a penchant for double attacks. Pretty sure they can be up to level 49 at least, as I got hit with an ice comet by one, very nasty.

I believe the Augurs are necros. I took one on today at the zone line to Dulak with my 45 ranger (was dark blue). It hit me with a nuke off the bat for about 260, then proceeded to beat the hell out of me. I was at 50% health when I finally broke through his invulnerability skin (sad I know). He then hit me with Scourge and Venom of the Snake. I don't think I had him down a bubble in health before I had to zone into Dulak. Then I had to chain cast the 100 point heal spell so the 2 dots didn't eat me alive.. a battle in itself. Good thing he didn't root or I would have been dead for sure.
SOMETHING REALLY WEIRD

I killed rite master kvinnum. hes said it cannot be inuurok why? Then 2 times it said a stiff breeze blows across the graveyard of ships. Then all the sudden i checked track and there were a few risen skeletal warriors, and a few risen zombie warriors. i tracked to them and they were on the beach. i only got to killing two 1 of each.

a bloodthirsty troll revenant - has a weird thing to it, I posted under the a bloodthirsty zombie mob what happened. Cons db to 43. Max hit was 87 and did not cast even tho is sounds casterish.

Also saw a named flower in the cave close to the vilage by Dulak zone. My log was turned off at that time but name was Hate-something and dropped a int necklace stats AC 5 Cha 5 Int 5 Stam 5 SvM 10 int casters all races.

Gunthak Merchant Faction

Has anyone discovered what faction the Gunthak merchants are on? I want to use a LoY alchemy recipe to skillup, as it is cheaper, but I'd like to max out the right faction to minimize my cost. Thanks for any intel.

Luggald Subverter
Enchanter
Dark blue to 50

Stay away from these guys if at all possible ! I slowed him Stacked my DoTs on him (Plague, E-Bolt) got him down to 8% and he mezzed me. Once mez broke he was back 100% and my pet was dead. Not sure how he got his life back but I didn't stay around to find out. He casts Fear, Mez, Suffocate, and nukes. He also Runes himself !
Very dangerous !

Ogre, Troll Commoner
Dark blue to 50
These are sometimes Shadowknights, and will HT you as well as cast Clinging Darkness and Fear. I resisted most of their spells, since I knew they were SK's I rooted myself so they couldn't Fear me. Slow, DoT, sic my mutt...dead SK !

I realize that many of these might simply be in the queue, just waiting to be added, but none the less...

The list of races seems to be:
Dark Elf, Erudite, Gnome, Human, Ogre, Troll

The list of 'varieties' seems to be: (in order of difficulty?)
Pillager, Marauder, Commoner, Resident, Citizen.

The pillagers and marauders show up around the fort south of the beach. The commoners, residents, and citizens show up in the town next to the Dulak zone. Trolls and Ogres are occasionaly Shadow Knights, as mentioned. Been harm touched for 361, 401, and 431, although I can't remember what variety of mob was involved each time I've been HT'd. I've been trying to let the warder take the HT if at all possible.

Luggald Concealer - Dark Blue to 50
Wizard
This nasty *******, nukes like crazy and get this, he riposte and double attacks as well. Hits for 70+ melee and usually has a DS up. But no big deal I slowed him sent in my pet and hit him with E-Bolt.......... dead !

Erudite, Human citizen
Gnome, Dark Elf Commoner
Dark Blue to 50

All melee, can hit in the 90's didn't resist much some carry shivs or harpoons.

A Broken Skull Augur/Seer
Shaman
Blue to 50
Very nasty as they cast Slow, DoTs, and Ice based Nukes. Tend to hit in the 90's and have quite a bit of HP's. I stayed away from them, wasn't worth the effort.

Fortress by the sea could be Fironia Vie, or Overthere... I am guessing FV if a good quest or OT is evil quest... obviously. There is also Qeynos, Kaladim, Freeport, Erudin, and Paineel. Maybe others, but Fironia Vie and Overthere are FORTRESSES.

Latiza trelune
# Apr 19 2003 at 5:34 AM Rating: Decent
I found this Mermaid in a shipwreck near the gated off area. She conned light blue to me at 46 and indiff (I'm iksar so I'm guessing beta neutral). When hailed

"Latiza Trelun eyes you coldly, 'Leave me be mortal, I have no use for you."

Now being a good Ikky, I decided to kill this light blue scum, but alas hit, kick, taunt, disarm, all did nothing. Kind of like fighting in PoK. I was not hit in return either. Still neutral after failed attempt.

A Crate of Supplies
# Apr 17 2003 at 2:06 PM Rating: Default
I got "a Crate of Supplies" today off of a troll zombie on the beach, but haven't been able to determine what quest it's used in. It's flagged as Magic and Lore.

Anyone know what it's used for?

Thanks.

Turn the crates in to Senina Jolik (spelling is close) in the city of Erud for some really nice exp up to 45 and a small ear ring of +5 resists and o couple of other stats which I forget atm.You can sell it to merchants for around 8pp. I have found her at the zone in and a few other places so you might have to track her down. If you are a DE get wolf form or you will be a dead DE. This is a gift quest for wizards and druids, it is so easy and really nice exp.

Easiest way is to get a port to Stonebrunt Mountains. There is a map of stonebrunt, the boat is not far from the port and with map can easily and quickly get to it. Simply click on the doors and your in Gunthak. From where you arrive by the lighthouse head South to the beach/tunnel that have the mobs and zones points to the rest of the expansion zones

I ran into this NPC right next to the Shipwrecked Hatestorm Sailor. I hailed her and she talked about treasure. With further conversation, she asked for trinkets to be handed into her for a reward. When I went about hunting for her trinkets, I ran into a few mobs that were normally not in regular spawn points. They were called A Lucky Scavenger. Killed one and got a Ruined Trinket (no drop no rent). I turned it in and got XP and 7pp from Miss Mopfoot. Anyhow, while I was medding up to kill more of the Lucky Scavengers, they despawned. About 5 minutes later, Bremmus Mopfoot despawned as well. I was wondering if anyone knows anymore on this mob?

It might be hard to get a group at 26th, however me and some friends hunted the beach with a group of 25-28 level characters. Tough but doable with great exp. Just get some people together and then head there.
A shipwrecked Hatestorm sailor
# Apr 02 2003 at 7:34 PM Rating: Default
Found him on the beach, east wall. Jabbered a bit about good and when the necro who I was grping with said something about helping him, an army of zombies & skellies (All green to a 51 enc, except the Skeletal Knight [L.Blu]) popped all over the beach. They just stood there and didn't even assist. Nothing but pp & bonechips dropped when we both had to log. We got rid of 4 of the lines of skellies, but the Sailor didn't follow us. Don't know anything about boss mobs. Only talked to the necro, didn't like me for an odd reason. Don't bother to nuke him, he wont fight back and has insane HP regen.

Fissan Giil and Simati the Cursed
# Mar 25 2003 at 10:16 PM Rating: Decent
I killed an NPCnamed Fissan Giil yesterday after turning in four cracked finger bones to Dimaal the Spiritmaster. He spawned during the second wave, and was light blue to my 57 warrior. he dropped the greatsword of lost souls, and after doing the quest 3 more times after that I have not seen him spawn once. The other named spawn I have killed, which is not listed above, is Simati the Cursed. She dropped the Waterlogged Tunic twice, and the Greatsword of Lost Souls twice. Simati seems to have popped every time I turned in Cracked Fingerbones except once when Fissan popped in the second wave. I am not sure if Fissan is the main named mob in the outcome of this quest, but after we killed him and his crew the DE was still up, and 5 minutes later Simati popped with another wave. So far by turning in Cracked Fingerbones I have received the sword and the tunic. I assume the charm does not drop when you turn in Cracked Fingerbones, but I will try again later.
