The Qeynos Hills connect the city of Qeynos to Surefall Glade and the Plains of Karana. There is also an entrance to Blackburrow, dungeon of the Sabertooth Gnolls.

With low level wandering animals, undead and gnolls, and protection from wandering Qeynos guards and residents, this area is fairly tame. Two popular finds here are the Fishbone Earring and Glowing Black Stone.

They actually do pop, but extremely rare. I've spent the better part of 2 weeks hunting these down. Mostly I've gotten rangers to help me track them, but I found you have the best chance at 8am around the Blackburrow area and a little west of the merchant. Don't forget to keep an eye out for Holly and her miscreant entourage.

I have killed about 4 in the course of 2 weeks. i have gotten 1 so far and I need 2 more to fully complete my necromancer armor quest. I started using my ranger so I could track the Giant King Snakes near the SFG ent, but I have seen NONE since the first day. I think that they only spawn a certain number of times per server renual; that means that if you want to kill about 5 more Giant King Snakes -- you have to wait untill the server goes down and restarts. This is the same thing that happens In Crow's pub in qeynos. He only ever has 20 special brews every time the server restarts.

I hate to tell you this but you might as well chuck the staff and go look for something in bazaar. I am a druid with track and I was helping a friend of mine locate them. Yes the giant kind snakes would pop VERY RARELY. I think I saw 1 in three hours time. Then they would never have the skin on it. I tried for 3 weeks to find the skin. I have been told that if you dont kill the king snakes, they turn into the large, and if you dont kill the large then they turn into the giant....now this all seems very wierd to me so I dont know how much to put into it. It may have bene changed since all the patches, but I doubt it.
