The Echo Caverns are twisting maze of tunnels beneath the surface of Luclin. They are filled with alien life and mined by Shadow Haven residents. The caverns connect to two of the more dangerous parts of the Luclin underground: Fungus Grove and the Deep.

The Echo Caverns are also home to a band of Haven Smugglers as well as a bizarre group of gnomes, whose area is referred to as the Kingdom of Above and Below.

Entered Echo Caverns last night for the first time. Looks like there's a lot of potential here, but I did get repeatedly rooted and had my blood sucked by a plant thingy as I came through one passage. Never could actually find him to deal with him. Could someone give me some info on where these things tend to show up, and any other ideas about how to deal with them?

Thanks.

These are actually Traps. Any class that can detect and disarm traps can detect these and disarm them for a short time. Once a trap is detected, the disarm radius is actually rather large and can be done while fighting as well. Just detect the one near camp once, then hit disarm from time to time if you have to go near it.

As a monk, if I get caught, it will stop casting on me if I feign death, then I just have to wait until the root wears off. But you do need to zone out and back in if you break loose, otherwise they'll all aggro on you and try to root and attack you.

If you are going in to the Queen's needlite room there are plants hanging down from the ceiling that will grab you as you go in. If you stick to the right side going into her room, along the right side wall, you can get in that way. There are some of these plants along the hall to her entrance to be wary of too. There is a hallway before her room, and between the higher level boggling area, stick to the left side going down this hall and you should be fine.
