Well, again if it isn't fake, I can almost guarantee that the sword supsended in light is the Truthbringer. EQ Myth has it that there are 5 holy swords. Ghoulbane, Soulfire, FA, FD and Truthbringer (Mithaniel Marr's personal whoop *** sword). Now, the paladin wielding the Truthbringer will have the sole power to kill the sleeper. Considering the freaky screenshots and Shei Vintras like mobs, this is gonna be like sleeper's tomb, NToV, VP and Lord Inquisitor of Sanctus Seru guy combined into one freaking scary zone. Fires of Heaven, Afterlife, Ring of Valor, get your heads together :-)

I heard that theres a guild thats going to explore Vex Thal! I think its called the Vex Thal Expedition Unit or something. It's comprimised of lvl 57+. But I dont know who their leader is though.

Why do u even care if it is up or not? The mobs here are as strong as some of the dragons. This is supposed to be the next strongest zone in the game. You prolly couldn't take steps in here. Just to say: Diablo though classified as an RPG really isn't one. Its nothing like eq and not meant to be. Its meant to be fast action, and there is a large community that thinks it is a great game, myself included. P.S.: I am not dissing EQ. I'm just saying there are other games out there that are fun too. Also why the hell would you call someone who plays DAOC a traitor??? Its not like the person signed a contract saying I will only play everquest and nothing else.

Heres how you get to the key.. go to Sleepers Tomb and say this to Ventani the Warder QUICKLY before you die
You say, 'I hold the power of the Ssraeshza elders'
Ventani the Warder looks at you with horror as she freezes in mid air. 'You... can't... of...'
You say, 'Ans Akhevan Vex Thal'
Ventani the Warder hands you a a pouch crafted of primalistic dragon scale. 'Return to me the illusion of the Tier'Dal, a suit of armor as red as a ruby and finaly the stone that holds unlimited gi. Then I shall allow you entry to the Vex Xi Akenvians.'

ok 1:IF the zone's key quest is working and in sleeper's tomb(which is a laughable thought since previous expansion quests involve only that expansion[how would someone without velius get into a zone he paid for?])the parts would most likely be new items that came out after luclin.
2:those items would most likely not be dropping until the zone was finished and the way verant rushed luclin and screwed it up theres no doubt it may not be ready.
3:if this was real someone would have doner it and sent in 100000000 sceenshots to show all the coll stuff that killed them.

Mask of the Deceiver is no longer dropped, but the mask of deception on the other hand is, off the same mob (A Ghuol Assassin), Rubicite armour is also no longer dropped, go figure. This post is probably a hoax.

ok every, you want proof? check your eq folder for files like vexthal.s3d, vexthal_chr.s3d, and vexthal_obj.s3d. the zone IS there, just might not have been opened yet

OK i just read someone say that this zone might never see a group that will be high enough to kill the goddess and eq will die out before than. Ok check this just of last Jan of 2001 there were +300,000 people signed up for eq this jan there are +450,000 ok hmmm well if it serves me corectly about 416 people joined eq everyday till now...so i think eq is raising not fading. And think about it anything that needs to be fixed doesn't require you to buy a new game like a PS2 game plus add-ons keep graphics uptodate and think about it if eq wants to add different layouts they can do it in a patch anyone who says eq will die out is retarted they don't know what there talking about they should go play the wanna be version of EQ called The Rise Of Camelot Geez have shots on it and it looks like they walked up and took the EQ engine and renamed the damn game ...

when a MMPORG comes out that is more Skill-based instead of number-based. Call it EverQuake if you will, or EverZelda. But when actually aiming with your notched arrow, or sword swings with collision detection are finally realized, EQ will be replaced. It will also open up the market to many, many more people that want action instead of Roleplaying. I hope Verant is working on this as EQ 2, cause I think they do a good job.

I agree, I do not thing EQ will go anywhere for at LEAST 2 years without a new expansion. The only thing that I believe will take down EQ is a half ***, ****** expansion like UO. Or if new technology comes out, but if the graphics are any better then they are in EQ for an MMORPG, then the common player will not be able to afford the computer for the game. So I agree with the rest of ya that EQ is not going anywhere (for a while at least).

those pics show a zone that's something i don't think we have encountered much before. I'm only 54 and haven't encountered places like TOV, but all of the raids that i've done usually consist of a having a main tank. He calls for assist and you all hit on one mob..mezzing the adds, or somtimes doing a limited split tank.
This is a guess, but I just think the stategies we are use to are not going to work like they have in this zone. With them being that close, u not gonna get 1,2,3...but like 4-8. if the shadows in ME are 54-56ish..these are all gonna be 58-65ish...maybe the banshies a bit lower. I just don't think you're gonna be able to heal 1-2 tanks quick enough...most of these mobs all HT if they follow suit from ME.
Each pull will be a war...the agro would have to split amont multible tanks at death will be plentiful...flame me go ahead, none of us know..but i look foward to this.

It's been confirmed triton found this zone on povar, but they are doing their best to conceal it's whereabouts, as soon as word spread, EVERY member of the guild was anon, last i saw they were very deep in aheva ruins...

LOL yeah that is funny! Vex Thall is located off of umbral plains guarded by Rumblecrush. Nowhere near Akheva really! You want to go there talk to teh remains of Vah Kerrath in Umbral and give him 4 elysian skells for teh medallion container search lucling for the 10 silver coins tehy are found on teh ground one...Best have whisperling faction up not a prob if you huntedc for a centi LS. Or get your faction up with shak dathor and try talking to Rumblecrush *side not this one is untested*

the key quest does involve going to 10 different zones and Akheva may be one of them but my point is that no one has provided any proof of entering the zone properly and if they were seen anon in akheva when rumor was they were in Vex it sounds suspect..it is no flame though he may very well of heard that rumor and did a who all and saw the triton guild but if the were anon how did he know they were in akheva? role play maybe. I have not been to vex on ave talked to Vah kerrath and have not found a silver link for the medallion yet...I realized after I wrote the post it sounded like I knew the WHOLE quest which I don't but the what I posted is a compililation of what I had heard what I have seen first hand and some speculation.. I still think someone should work on akheva and shak dathor faction...and for those who want story check the whole whisperling story in shadeweaver I have my suspicions though they aren't anything coherent

BTW rumblecrush can't see invis so if you want to check out the zone go to the large set of steps in umbral to the left of the Maiden zone line and click the the iron board shaped stone tablet behind him. You can gain shak dathor faction byt hunting a LOT of Grol Toku's in shadeweaver thicket....On another subject anyone have any Idea about the portal in Shadeweaver which is guarded by a named fire elemental Jyndahor and 4 firefall guardions they range in levels between 47-50 and the named is always 50 killing them gives you nothing but good exp and teh respawn appears to be close to instant....Rumor has it it gopes someplavce in umbral but really no reliable info on it! Good luck all
