Vex Thal

Paladas <The Peacebreakers> of Rallos Zek is the first person on that server to have figured out the key quest and gone into Vex Thal. The key is a giant item, does not seem to fit into bags, and takes a whole group inside.

This is going to sound like a major ***** session, and probably because it is. There are going to be some of you who can relate to this and others of you who cant and never will be able to.


I started playing EQ around June of 2001. Now compared to some of you, I know this isn't a very long time, but still calculated to me getting 2 character's 55+. I have known the community to be at times friendly, and there really is a bunch of good hearted people out there that play this game...then u start playing and adventuring with other types of people. you want to explore the game you love and broaden your horizon, rather than playing with the same old people all the time.

Then one day something just snaps inside of you. You have come across so many cinical and critical ******** in this game that you just cant take it anymore. You have completely lost your good will towards this game because so many people believe that if they have to do one thing nice for you it might ruin 10 minutes of THEIR playing time that they would better spend sitting around earning "street-cred" in Greater Fay-Mart. The people that would rather not respond to you then actually answer your good natured question because it might require them to actually type something in during an "Actively Online Massively Multiplayer Game." (an RPG at that). gee..who woulda thought you had to take action....

The kind of people who take their role playing beyond that of the normal person, and make it their personal goal to ruin your playing time because they want so much "phat lewt" as quickly as possible they are willing to sacrifice the game time that everyone around them and in their group so rightfully deserve.




~ So here I am..in a Vex Thal discussion room...I dont even know why i came in here...just to type this long *** story up that will most people will skip than to actually read and take in what I have to say? What a waste of my time. I hope I at least reached one person. I guess my real point of writing this...was to say just lighten up people. It's only a game, and a brilliantly designed game at that, and one we all love so much. When we log into our characters, regardless of level and "social status", can't we all just be a family? can't we all just get along?

Rubicite is dropping in ct now,and the mask part is probrably correct,unless it is also dropping in ct,hell manastones are dropping in ct.Seems that maybe Cazic and these guys are old friends.So they made the zone implemented the key later,versus having a bunch of guilds run in their and have ultra uber loot off the bat.Let's face it sleepers tomb was a myth till one day the portal in popped up by the sleeping dragon in ew.So why would it be so far fetched they just waited awhile.Eq is a drug if it doesn't stay addicting how they gonna get their $10 bucks a month.

Guys, incase you havent been reading up on the Vex Thal key, the quest is given out by the Remains Of Vah Kerrath, in Umbral Plains. He was the first Vah Shir king. Just incase that hasnt yet been brought to a conclusion =) I have heard rumors that Furor, leader of FoH, Has been working on this quest, but he said it was sickeningly hard and time consuming.

YES there is a zone that is not open but it isn't Vex Thal, there is another one that is a resut of the general's challenge or whatever. The zone isa secret one in grimling and the quest to get the key is yet to be solved. Because of this, the zone I've heard isn't even opened yet. I beleive these screenshots, I bet the zone IS up...but good luck fighting in there...anyone who has been to Akheva will know Vex is going to be even worse.
