This is the zone for Vah Shir newbies. Tons of mobs, also has a banker and some merchants and many guilds. Lots of low level quests to be done here. This takes all the problems of the original zones and fixes them, giving you a banker, merchants, TONS of mob spawns, your guilds, hunting for levels 1-10 all in one zone.

I agree that this is a great newbie zone! It goes much higher than lvl 10 though. The northwestern half of the zone is full of mobs that con red to my level 12 beastlord. With a bank, merchants, and class guilds here, you could come here as a lvl 1 and hardly ever go back to Shar Vahl. Plus, the mobs of different levels are mostly separated into different areas of the zone (rare exceptions).

Most newbies fight in the city in the big pit and fight skellys and needle clawed hoppers. It has a lot of quest that involve the pit. Such as the beastlord cloak quest. you get scorp legs for forged fasteners and the young hopper claws. So it is a better newbie zone. You can fight there till lvl 5 then come to shadeweaver
