The Twilight Sea is probably more land than it is water, consisting of several islands as well as a hidden area in its north accessible only by an underwater tunnel.

Katta Castellum sits in the east, its towering walls and guarded boundaries difficult to miss. Numerous city residents can be found on a nearby island containing two fishing docks and an inn called Jern's Rest. The Twilight Sea also connects to the dry, barren part of Luclin: Past the range of cliffs and mountains in the west is the Scarlet Desert.

I've killed regular and greater elementals with a 51 druid and 54 chanter. The greater elementals, which are the underbosses, resisted most of the spells my druid cast including snare and root. They don't resist Drifting Death and are fairly easy to pull to the Inn Isle and run around. Their hps are fairly low and they died after two DOT applications. My chanter pet cut through the greater elementals like butter and they didn't resist my magic based DD spell. I've never been able to get the boss elementals to spawn so I can't answer the question of how easy they are to kill. I did see a 52 Sk kill a greater earth elemental with some difficulty, so I'm not sure how easy it would be for a 48th ranger to solo one.

Don't bother with the shadows. They have a nasty lifetap and hit hard too. Other than the named ones, the loot is crappy and the named shadows drop items worth 1k or less.

Well I can solo any of the elementals as a 52 druid no problem and that includes the boss eles like Terra.

Usually the named Eles such as greater, hulking, swift etc take 2 hits of Banish Summoned at 585dd and then I apply Drones of Doom to polish them off. All the named eles resist snare and roots so don't even bother casting. They've hit me up to about 70dd at once before, but usually average about 30-40 and they always cast some type of spell, best to have cold, fire and magic buffs on and then you hardly notice their spells.
Terra took 4 casts of Banish Summoned and a Drones of Doom to finish. Also buff yourself up with yourn thorns or whatever before you fight as it helps to inflict damage on them, common sense really.

It's quite easy to stand toe to toe with these things and cast your DD spells on them as they all cast as well and if you time it right then you shouldn't have any trouble getting off your spells.

One thing to note on the Eles island is that being in Wolf Form will aggro everything that is in range.

A couple of 50+ people should be able to clear the island of Eles withing 30mins or so and then keep the spawns down to about 6 or 8 at once.

Shadows are harder than the Eles, but they can still be taken down by kiting fairly easily.
