This large mountain range is now home to the exiled Frogloks of Gukta. The Frogloks share their new home with a host of lizardmen; undead; clans of orcs, bandits, and druids; and sphinxes. Not able to withstand the influx of Frogloks, the hill giants and cyclopses retreated to the northeastern area of the Rathe Mountains.

At least it is on the Xev server.

It's Ytyrs Reborn. I was there at his initial respawning, and I paniced. I mistook it for a GM event, but apparently I was wrong.

Light blue at lv 40. If it *is* a new mob, it's going to be a pain. The first time you kill him (yes, he comes back at full health once you kill him and there is no first corpse) several minions of Ytyrs will spawn. They're undead skeletons, and they hit rather heard.

This guy is a Shadowed Man, and if you kill him you get negatives with Shadowed men and a positive with Temple of Soluesk Ro.

He also dual wield and in apparently either a SK or a necro.

Drops shadowed weapons along with some item I forgot the name of. It's a Magic Lore No Rent item that has one charge of Grim Aura

Maybe it's for a new quest? Or maybe it *was* a GM event. Anyone on another server confirm this?

Yeah I had a similar situation with him only my wasnt so pleasent. My 50 monk was strolling home from seeing if he could kill HG's solo (which he couldnt very effectively) and i had half HP with mend up. This mob aggrod me I conned him he as green and I felt that monkly urge to kill him so I kicked him and he imediately Lifetapped me for 150 so i said ouch and kept on whacking at him he then Feared me and Darknessed me a few times so now I was really pissed I tapped mend and whooped him. So Ytyr Reborn spawns with about 8 minions ranging from skeletons to zombies and they start pounding me while I have half HP so i go holly crap and i FD and then I see this AE Fire spell reign down on me for 175 DMG and it breaks FD then 2 more come down and he Lifetapps me for 200 LOAING....PLEASE WAIT! So I go back to get my corpse I get no more then 100 feet from the ruins and him and his minions aggro me and get me to a bubble of HP so I finaly said enough is enough got my guildies and we whiped them all with no troubles. Word to the wise , dont even bother with him hes more then you bargain for

Ytyrs the Reborn spawned in the Haunted Stone Ring in Rathe Mountains on the Innoruk server at about the same time you must have encountered him. He was green at 53, so he must be low 30's, but he's a very hard low 30's.

The minions of Ytyrs are on track before you pull him, but they do not appear until you do... they look like zombies. You're right, Ytyrs is a caster of some kind as he was nuking me near 200.

Another thing, he is SoW speed, as I was able to pull him away from the rest of his minions with Selo's. When he respawns, he seems more difficult.

I looted "vial of shadow" off of him, which is Lore and No Drop, but has no effects. I figure it must be a quest that has yet to be discovered or perhaps a part of the Whisperlings quest.

Any info on Ytyrs himself or his drops would be useful.

*Edit* My friend just killed him again, and he said that Ytyrs the Reborn spawns after you kill all the skellies and zombies at the Haunted Stone Ring.

Also, his minions (who have less than 600hp btw) spawn when you kill him the first time, so I must have gotten him when someone had already tried to kill him.

He also dropped a "vial of shadow" for my friend, which is NOT No Rent, while the weapons etc that he drops are (just like the other shadowed men).

Not sure what he is for but I killed him as well. I was playing my wifes 51 ranger in Rathe doing the Jboots quest for my noob Cleric and saw him on track and went to see who/what he was. Tracked him at the little undead ring but couldn't see him cause he was a shadowed man...Took me forever to target the ****** but I finnaly got him and killed Ytyrs the Reborn easily. Then he repoped on top of himself as Ytyrs Reborn. This one cast a mean AoE that killed my level 25 cleric in 2 hits, as well as took my wifes level 51 ranger down to 50%. Not sure what level he was but he was red to the Cleric and Green to the ranger so I would say range is 27-35. Just like all the other shadow men hes a large undercon so I wouldnt recomend trying him if you are at that level. I also got the Vial of Shadow not sure what that is for though either.
