The Feerrott  

NOTE: This is the low level Feerrott. For the version of the Feerrott introduced with the House of Thule expansion, click here. The Feerrott is a thick forest which blankets the southern region of Antonica. It is home to a tribe of lizardmen (whose temple is located in the south), spiders, marsh bears, and other creatures you'd find in a typical forest. With the city of Oggok sitting along its northern boundary, this forest also serves as the ogres' gateway into Norrath.Travellers should also be aware of what lies in the southwest - a spectre-ridden network of caves leading to a portal into the Plane of Fear.

I was pharming spiderling silks in the NE corner w/ my 35 druid and after maybe 45 minutes and 4 stacks of silk I got jumped. Big ole spider named "Spirit of Decay", looked just like all the other jungle spiders except it was about the size of a Crag spider.Max hit was for 225, took maybe 4 or 5 hits total and i was toast.Has anyone ever seen this creature? I tried to recreate the scenario with myself and a high level shammy friend but it didn't pop again.Any info on this spider would be appreciated so that I may start plotting my revenge. /em grins evilly!!!!
