Spell is a DoT with a DD portion, thus the DD will not crit.

I love this spell! With focus effects the dd portion of the spell usually goes for between 3300-3900'ish ( I have yet to have it crit ) the 3 ticks of the dot I have had go off for as much as 2.1k Respectively I usually average around 8.5k dmg total from each cast of this spell, can cast it roughly twice a minute. So adding 16k+ in dmg to your kites makes this a must have, well worth the 1200 mana to cast
