#REDACTED, Posted: Feb 07 2006 at 2:37 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I remember that the Terror knockback was not half so extrem as the shimmering meteor knockback ( these are the red wisp mobs on top on the pillars on 4th island of plane of sky)i remember that these made you fly halfway over the island, even over the edge and down the island.the terror knockback never seemed so strong to me.but could be wrong too. allak is not listing the spells of the old world mobs:( cmon people there are still people looking up infos about old world mobs.

If one reads the message given when hit by Knockback, it says "...knocks you backwards." In that case one could face in a certain direction so to end up in a spot of ones own choosing. Or does Knockback always force one in the direction opposite the mob that casts it? I'm in Najena fighting Tentacle Terrors and trying to deal with getting thrown out of sight of my target by this spell.

In Najena the Tentacle Terrors also use this. Makes it important to place yourself carefully during the fight. It is annoying to be hurled around a corner in this dungeon and lose sight of your target for the next spellcast.
Dueling idea..

Actually, if you think about it, you could duel someone with this very nicely, drag them by a cliff, turn around and push, problem solved, caster killed someone with melee, heh.
the trick

with this effect, as a caster, is to shape your stats so you have best possible chance to proc first bash. Do that well and a root lock Away from your fragile body is a brillant one-two defensive opening. After that, the work of staging your (soon to be) mes'd opponents becomes an easy process of placing the chips in their place :)
Great fun

Go to east commons, stand at the entrance of the tunnel facing the grass, with someone in front of you.

Wield a chetari wardstaff and duel. You can shoot the person back to the grass with the Knockback proc. This is a fun way to give amusement rides.
