Useless, as im currently equiped with an obtenebrate short sword and fabled serrated dirk, both procing dooming darkness dot/snare...using bandolier to click back and forth between my epic/soulpiercer combo and ragebringer/fabled short sword of ykesha (yes im braggin at lvl 55)....but this seems usesless effort

Hey, don't laugh! My Level 4 Bazaar mule (a Rogue) also has a Fabled SSoY, as well as a Fabled Flowing Black Silk Sash and Fabled Journeyman's Boots! Of course, he only gets about +4hp because of the Recommended level on the darned Sword, but hey...

I was doing the rounds of Fableds in Lower Guk, trying to get the darned Fabled Ghoul Assassin to pop, and didn't see him even once. On the plus side, though, I got several more of the Fabled SSoYs and Fabled FBSSs to drop, and I passed them out to several of the lowbies/twinks/alts that were meandering in the zone at the time. And I picked up about 10k worth of crap to drop in the Tribute bucket.

So at least it wasn't all a complete waste.

I will do the quest, just wondering what the best use is for this ability. Snare stuff for farming maybe? Just because a skill does not make you uber does not mean it is useless.
    Did we get something?

After playing with the today, I found it useless. Didn't see any damage or effect on the mob. So from what I see we got something that the rangers / shadowknights and beastlords didn't get. A useless skill.

Ok we get a trap that snares. This is the most useless of anything we get beside that aa that lets you guess how much plat something is worth. In order to place the traps you have to "Appear", now does that make any sense? Then 2 minutes later these traps just fade any way. Although it took me a total of 5 minutes to solo these mobs, I would not have done it except to say,"yeah I got my traps". Besides that I have NEVER even used em in actual combat once.
    Where do you buy this?

I found out where to get this. You have to do a Quest in Takish Hiz. You get the quest from Lilthil yan's Ghost. The Ghost is found in the south. Do the Chalice Quest since it is all inside the zone. you will have to kill 4 mobs, Summer, Spring, Winter and Autumn. You will get a Cloak and the Trap.
