    The trap triggers an effect. It makes DoTs more damaging... thinnk of it as a mob debuff trap.

    maybe it is used in conjunction with the 83 spell, Withering Decay. That spell does DOT dmg, and maybe you can use it, if you are high enuff level.

    you just need 3, 1&2 are for ToB only it seems

    What I don't understand is if this "rune" procs a DOT on the first mob to wander into its path, why have they coded it so we cannot see the damage?

    I was testing this spell out in Plane of fire, and because the mobs have so many hitpoints, you really cannot tell if this spell is doing any damage or not.

    I have put this spell in the back of my spellbook, and will not use it again until it is adjusted.

    I would use this spell even if it cost 1000 mana if it had a persistant DOT or snare effect in a pre-determined radius, but not as it currently works.

    Once casted this spell summons a trap called "a death rune". This trap is a level 70 static item that has a life duration of 2 minutes if not triggered by a NPC.
    As it is said in posts below, i've not seen real damages it does...i hope it will be modified to see a recourse effect for instance or simply read it as a regular dot.
    Concerning mission it takes place in Takish Ruins instance, but i'm not sure yet you get a specific spell for completing a corresponding mission or you get spells in a specific order from these missions...

    Reward for 3 missions given by an NPC in North Ro.

    Suposed to be 440 damage per tic for 4 tics at this time (it may change) but you can't see the damage, it can be resisted and you can't tell if it is, and if somehow it gets the killshot the mob suposedly poofs.

    Lasts until agroed by 1 mob or for about 60 seconds, whichever comes first.

    I got this from a quest called chalice of life? in Takish Hiz. You just have to kill 4 different named mobs..loot a stone and turn in to quest giver. Its not very hard at all. There are set spawn points for each of the mobs. Winter, Spring, Autumn, Summer.

    possibly an aa. as listed it dont have a long recast time, also it has a fizzle timer wich aa's do not have. could this posslby be like the chanter pet they summon that looks like them to get a mob off them for a few seconds? says rune so my guess would be a pet absorbing some damage, im prolly wrong though.

    Don't think this is live yet. Be interested to find out what it is though. Looks to be an AA ability possibly. 0 mana. Probably another AA style pet with long recast. Hopefully it's better than the pathetic archers we get. Things shoot way too slow to be of any kind of help. It's possible that they get better (faster shooting) as you get more levels of it (currently I only have the 1st lvl) but so far I'm not impressed enough to bother spending the AAs on the 2nd or 3rd lvl of it.

    Nah, they still shoot slow as **** even at the 3rd rank.

    Try popping it off on top of mobs. They also do normal melee damage if they're in real close and then will start shooting arrows if they get out of range.
