Phantom Plate  

The major benefit to this spell is the AC buff, as by the time you get it 3 hp regen is practically nothing.

In classic era, a self buffed mage can rival the AC of a chain wearer with this spell and their Shielding line. The reagent cost is minimal at the level you get it, and the buff lasts for quite a long time.

it seems pets can wear armour, though im not sure if this has been proven or not, its widely believed by magicians at least. thing is, this is NOT armour, you are thinking of summon phantom plate, this spell is a regen/ac buff for magicians, consumes i think 3 cats eyes (6gp to cast), phantom leather consumes 1 (2gp), phantom chain consumes 2. this is a MUST for soloing, not only to reduce downtime but if you get knocked up the extra hp and bandaging can mean just that more health in critical situations, besides the AC can help to channel off gate. also useful in group sitautions against mobs that dont hit so much, i constantly play with a warrior and/or a shadow knight, and since neither really have regen, sk has lifetap at most, i generally tank about a bubble or two of health (depending on how hard he hits) if i can, mana isnt a huge problem right now for me so i dont have to med while im not nuking, and since i regen faster than a halfelf warrior, its just that less hp he has to regen, besides my defense is lacking.

You need Cat's Eye Aghate to cast this spell... i think u need more then one
