I just was making the corona flare spell with research and hit combine, and I got this spell ether flame instead...Not sure why, but im pumped

Almost 6k damage upfront.. seems neat. On a more practical note, its the same cast time as A: Cor, and and less than 50% extra damage. Considering it costs nearly twice the mana, its highly inefficient.

On another Sony game, "Infantry", there is a weapon called the CAW. Under the description, it sums up my feelings for this spell quite well: "For when you absolutely, POSITIVELY have to kill everyone **** in the room."

I'm sure there are circumstances when you'd burn your mana even faster just to finish something. Still, as a general use spell, I wouldn't recommend it.

revieved this spell on 16sep2005 as the first wizard on FV. yes this spell is for real, and it is a fairly easy quest have to do 5 missions for jareeze (sp) the prophet in undershore. on the course of getting this spell you will also recieve (whole party gets one) mission 1 casters a 3 mana regen type 7/8 aug, melees will get a 30 atk aug. mission 2 all party members will recieve a 5 regen type 7/8 aug. misson 3 i think is a 10 to all resist inate bonus(forget). mission 4 casters will get a 20/20 hp/mana aug with 3% dot shielding. and for mission 5 casters will get the spell and a 70/70 hp/mana aug. can do in any order (me and a bard did 1 and 2 then next day got a new group and did 3-5, they didnt get the spell as they was missing 1-2 but did get aug and credit)and the mission 1 is the hardest. mission 4 is way easy as the single mob you have to kill spawns right outside the camp and as my group learned (70 wiz 70 bard 70 chanter 70 necro 70 druid and 70 ranger) outside help is allowed on it. (thanks Delium, Anasong, Scarar, Bott and other 2 i cant remeber for the timely assist)did mission 1-2 with SK tank and 3-5 with ranger/bard tank all don and anguish equiped. GL on your quest for this spell and yes it is nice=)

6.7(4.2 with Academic's Intellect) sec casting time with AAs and focii 10234 damage with focii and ro's fam.........OMFG!!!!

Perfect to use with GoM =) just chain ACF or CoV until GoM kicks in hit Academic's intellect and be happy with a 2436dps burst =p
