The spell no longer resists any spell. It's now only detrimental spells.

Honestly, Doesn't anyone realize how good a 10% chance to resist spells is? Combine this with Max DoN progression and u have approx what? 25% chance to resist virtually any spell in eq! Resisting 1 out of every 4 spells + standard resists on the ones that do make it past the innate and You have a dang good chance of living on a lot of high end content.
True if you are not currently raiding end game this may be a worthless spell to you. But for many,, it is just what the doctor ordered.

The duration for this spell used to be much shorter, now it's not nearly as bad as it was when those posting below did so.

In-Game screen shot of this spell:

Screen Shot of spell information

Hey, just posting a link to a picture of the in-game description of this spell. The description in-game does not appear to be the same as what is on here. Because the in game actually seems to still describe a Divine Intervention type component as being part of this spell, but I am not sure.

Whatever the case is, it is not too much mana and I have spent a day fighting Dragons with it on, Kess, Rikky, Yar, and Vish, and I am not sure but it might have helped hehe, CBA to look through the spam. Eh, I just clicked off Predator to make room for this one, as I don't really need the attack from that buff. 21 buff slots makes for enough room for this spell.

If any info from other's who have actually recieved this spell could be posted here, and aren't just talking from here-say, it would be appreciated. Good luck all!

According to the spell history on Lucy, this used to have a DI-like component, but no longer. Either the screenshot is outdated or they haven't bothered to update the displayed description in-game.

The screen shot was taken today, 1/17/2006. It may just be bunk descpriton within the spell, as that would surprise me very little with EQ. Too bad, too, but still, having a chance to block spells isn't TOO bad, as every little bit helps. I just don't know how regular the effect is. I don't think it blocked anything the dragons put on me :-\
At least the text is right here....

...Cos by crikey they cant be bothered to change it in game!

SoE seem to have taken the notion that all players want new types of spells. The problem here is even though you can have up to 21 buff slots the new barrage of stacking and different spell types. With buff (and debuff) slots at a premium this just isnt going to get used. When I think how much more useful an update of Yaulp would have been.

/feedback and post in the official EQlive website Paladin forums to get this spell changed! We deserve better than to have the DI componet ripped off the day DoD went live with no explanation as to why this was changed!

This had a DI component to it throughout the whole beta, then on launch day they took that out.
how rediculous

This is an absolute joke. Would have been great - like 30 levels ago, but at 69? what a waste of time.
is this a joke?

This would have made a good melee discipline in the 40's or 50's. Making a level 69 spell like this pointless. Is this a joke or is it SOE's way of flipping the bird to it's player base?

It has a 10% chance of being effective on any spell coming in (90% chance of doing nothing). It has a super long cast time and a short duration, but takes up both a spell slot and a buff slot to use. What a waste of time. It's sad really.

Dunno - this sounds neither here nor there - it does not address any of the urgent needs we have.

I don't need a puny 10% chance to resist spells, I need help on tanking itself now that our stun mitigation has virtually ceased to exist in all the higher end zones and our only real tanking disc is puny and ultra short.

Or they could have given us an offensive disc after we got shafted again on the DoD AA's.

But this is another sign that Sony just doesn't get it.
