Bleak Promise  

I've noticed, while hunting in Illsalin, that all of the zombies in the arena have a chance to spawn with the ability to use Bleak Promise.


According to the Database that effect is only found on mobs in the Demi-Plane of Blood. Either this is a glitch and I got really unlucky with some of these zombies , or this is a previously undocumented Effect.

This happened on many other occasions that, frankly, I don't want to go through my logs to find as proof.

I also notice that with the nuke landing for over 1300damage on me through a 558 chromatic resist, it's doing a good bit more damage than the link to Bleak Promise says. Ouch.

It seems like it's a random shot. Sometimes the named things can use it.. other times they don't use it at all. Sometimes the trash there uses it! I just know that the mobs in the arena can sometimes pack a nasty surprise.

I also notice that some of the mobs buff themselves with something. I've not seen the spell effect when the buff lands, but I know it's a pinkish buff, almost looks like they're dispelling themselves, or casting some kind of fungal Regen.

I'll post again after I find some decisive evidence one way or another if the Pink buff graphic could be a link to the Bleak Promise. This could be as simple to fix as pulling with a dispel.
