I have no idea what's up with this but I can't get this song to even start. I keep missing a note.

yes, just like spells have a certain casting level you need to be at. Just max out your brass skills and you should have better luck. Also, just a side not, make sure you have a horn equipt :)

Any ideas on the highest lvl mob affected by this song?

tried this on fierce cragwalker which is apparently lvl 53 and got message that mobs was too high
