In case anyone else is wondering, this spell can be cast on toons below level 45. Comes in handy for PLing. Massive damage rate. Group only, so if you are 2 boxing be ready to invite, disband a lot.

I play a 70 sham with a little over 650 aa’s now. In this game a shaman can enhance any stat except for mana regen. My buff extensions are maxed with AA and items so this line of spells works very well for me.
Starting at level 50 then again at levels 57, 61 and 69 you can get the Spirit of the Puma, Jaguar, Leopard and Panther. The first (level 50 Puma) can be bought in PoK from the shaman spell vender in the library the level 57 and 61 is bought from both the good and evil DoN venders in Lavastorm Mountains. The last, Spirit of the Panther is the result of finishing Tier 2 DoN progression.
All ready being level 70 when this new line of spells came out I never used the levels 50 and 57 on my shaman, however I have used both the level 61and 69 for some time now.
Before they nerfed the proc rate of this line it was just crazy. My shamys ability to crit nukes was maxed so the 400 damage crited for 800 a lot and these spells triggered a lot. Just because these were nerfed is no reason no to get and use them as they are still an great spell.
I have a second account where I have been leveling up another shaman just so he can buff the other toons on my main shamans account. The ALT shamy just dinged 60 last night. With no extensions this shamys proc spell on the pet procs 3 to 4 times and some times as much as 5 times. On my big shamy with max buff duration AA’s and items, his pet procs this spell 6 to 8 times and some times as much as 10. that’s up to 4k worth of damage for a little mana.
On a dual wielding DPS class like rangers and rouges that have all of their proc AA’s and some fast weapons this spell is nothing short of amazing for the mana used and can cause a mob to take around 10k of damage very fast and the best thing is that the shamy gets little to no agro from casting it.
This line of spells are a must for when a shamy is soloing and is very mana efficient when compared to DOTS and Nukes.
This is not a melee only spell and I have cast it on INT casters in my group that want to swing on a mob, while they cant normally fight their way out of a wet paper sack this is based on how fast you swing at a mob and what your chances are to proc any given effects. Melee are the only classes that can buy AA’s to enhance their ability to proc effects like this line of spells. And a caster with crit AA’s can actually be melee DPS with this spell cast on them.
I have NEVER seen these resisted nor am I aware of any mob in the game that is immune to these procs. I have not been able to cast the lvl 69 Panther spell on anyone in my group that meets the level 61minimum requirement or their pets. So as far as I know there is no stacking issues.
When you are dealing with a raw melee mob like the warrior epic mob in DS or the shamy epic mob in UP where their resists are so high that they will resist 95% of everything cast on them, this line of spells is your best friend. Just make sure that you have a shamy in every group and chain cast these on all pets and anyone swinging at the mob.

ive had this proc resisted on some mobs. very very rare, but it is possible.
What a great spell! Pet usually procs about 8-10 times a fight with this on it, so that in turn does around 1500 dmg for what 210 mana? Not too shabby! Also, as it has been stated, you do not get agro from using this spell. So while you are in groups forget the dots, well until you get better than envenomed bolt heh, and just cast this on group members pets and the fast melee (ie rogue/ranger) Works really well! Can't wait till leapord heh.

I use this spell as a priority over DoTs and DDs when in group and soloing. The benefits of this spell are great for many different reasons.
- First, you avoid getting direct aggro since you are letting other players and pets do the extra damage.
- Second, the mana cost is basically on par with our nukes that only do about 500 damage (and could be resisted). However, this spell falls under Alteration which should be your area of specialization, so you realize an even better mana efficiency. Not to mention the proc damage is 154 hp and unresistable, so 3 procs and you've almost equaled the potential damage of 1 of your DD spells. Anyone who uses this spell will know that 3 procs is easily attained within the minute duration of this spell.
If I'm soloing, I'll pull with slow, cast puma on my pet & myself, and maybe a DoT on the mob. I very rarely need to recast any of the spells because the mob is dead or close to it by the time puma runs out. Now I can't wait for the upgrade :)

- Third, SCR/ext enhancement is much cheaper than DoT extension and impoves the efficiency on dmg/mana and saves on all your other self-pet-group buffs. .

This Spell works Great when Soloing, Farming, Etc... I use it quite a bit. Has a nice Proc Rate, and Does a Decent amount of Damage, and Helps my Pet Keep Aggro even when I am Dotting ta Hell... And very Nice in Regular Combat as it was meant for. I just like the rate it Procs at and how it seems to be a great Aggro increaser.

every once and a wile when i have KEI and i have constant FM i'll pull this spell up and cast it on all the tanks cuz i know it adds a proc but i havent noticed it doing anything... anybody know what it hits or what it does or anything?

is this a proc spell?
Yes, this spell adds a proc to whatever player or pet it is cast upon. This is in addition to any other procs from weapons they may be using.
It has a very high proc rate too. Expect 6-10 (or more) procs a minute from it.

As of the 8/11 patch, Spirit of Puma is available from Mystic Abomin in the PoK for just over 5pp.

I got Jaguar and Leopard from the DoN merchant and Panther from DoN progression quest. Where are you Puma?! I wanna try using this spell for PLing but I can't find.

Speculation at the Shaman's Crucible is that this will probably be found as a drop from some Kunark mob.

the level 57 and 61 spells are sold at the DoN adventure merchants. the level 57 spell is 75 crystals and the 61 level spell is 120 crystals. still trying to track down the level 50 spell.
I wonder where it will be found??

Can not seem to find the other spells in he proc line either. I wonder if they are not even live ecept the two spells were got with DoN progression crystals and the Emoush Raid....We can only keep searching will post if I find anything.....also spirit of jaquar as well MIA.

spirit of panther(lvl 69) is a reward for don progression after you get by the emoush event

The Lvl 61 spell Spirit Of The Leopard is available at the DoN vendors for the cost of 120 Crystals. Dunno about the other versions... would like to find that out myself.

Anyone happen to know where to get this spell and the other new shaman spells? Are they LDON? Vendor? Quest? Live? It would make a nice addtion to my ******* to have a nice proc like that. Let me know about the other new ones also
