Was wondering if chromatic foci on the shaman caster has any effect on the proc of this spell since it already been cast as its procing. Or if the buffed person has chromatic foci does it increase the damage of the proc?
generally focus effects dont affect procs, but if you find one that does please let us all know =)
this actually procs more often if you use a 2hdr or 2 one handed weapons. Proc rate goes down for knights that use 1hdr + shield. Try it yourself if you dont think so.

why is it that leapord (level 61 spell) will not overwrite Jaguar (level 57 spell)
as far as i can tell only difference in the 2 is that Leapord does more dmg.
curious as to why the lower level spell overwrites the higher when usually that's the opposite

I would also like to know why Spirit of Leopard does not overwrite Spirit of Jaguar. I have not been able to find an answer anywhere as to the logic.
As I recall, the lower level spell will actually cancel out the higher spell - which makes no sense to me at all.

Why not just not cast Jaguar...and just use Leopard. Since you have to be in a group to use the spell, if there is a lower level shaman, tell them not to use Jaguar....
few things to think about when casting this spell....
#1 more times the target gets to swing the more chances to proc the spell. any one who is useing just 1 weapon ie cant dule wheild (sorry sk/pally/zerker) is going to have less procing rates per cast of this buff. this includes bst pets who far as i have seen dont ever get dule weild.
#2 best shammy spell for a pvp fight which your pet and you are going up agianst a hybrid or melee (casters can typicaly nuke your pet to easly to death) once the pet drops down to 20% if htis spell is active the enrage if you can keep the person off you and on pet will make him kill that person in no time almost.
#3 if the person has the dis to beable to reposet every hit inc for the next 1 or 2 min then this spell becomes their chance to tank, let them build agro on a big mob, then click the dis and cast this spell now each time the mob hits they have a chance to proc (they have have double reposet or tripple then its even better)
#4 the less delay the target has the better also, as a pet class we know our pets hit faster then us even when they are unhasted and us hasted its better to let them have the spell and let us keep casting other things.

you have a 52 bst and dont think that beast pets get DW? hmm, dude .. learn the class before commenting. beast pets quad and flurry (with AA)
They start to double at level 9 (with weapons) and quad as low as 22 (rarely).

I don't understand why people complain that this spell is single target, short duration, and group only. Those qualities ensure that pretty much any melee class or pet class will want to have a shaman in the group to buff this. Raids will want several shamans along to buff this. The very limitations people complain about are the same thing that are giving the shaman class tremendously increased desireability.

I know everyone hates this since it was nerfed but if they forget what it was and look at what it is you'll realize its still imo really good.
Now I have epic 1.0 and about 100 skill in piercing ... lv 62 i can easily buff myself to max dex.
One cast 380 mana (pre focus) I am doing 3600 damage worth of proc on my own (i think my pet does more, but i could be crazy).
Consider I do have extended enhancement IV so that adds some.
But even with affliction of the dragorn (exteded detrimental focus) My poison dots have 4.8ish damage to mana efficiency (Envenomed bolt) about 1300 damage iirc but for argument sake say 1600, and Bane of nife is 3.3ish damage to mana ratio for like 2100 damage.
So leapord is less mana then BoN and more total damage and more dps.
Also this doesnt give you aggro it gives your target aggro .. great for tanks/pet to hold aggro over your slow.
With this I can slow/BoN mob and chain cast the Rain spell with is the highest dps spell I think I have atm (nuke maybe more) and I NEVER get aggro off my pet when my pet has this proc on.
So ppl say this line sucks ... but imo its our best damage line we have ever got by a lot.

which crytals does it take for this spell does anyone know the name of them ?
Since a recent patch it does 300 dmg each proc but its still great push your dex (or your target's dex) toward his maximum and its gonna proc like you never saw someone proc =)
with 270 dex i do bout 3k dmg in that minute =P

Has anyone checked out stacking issues with say SK mana self proc spells ? any info greatly received.

For anyone still curious, there are no stacking problems with SK self buff proc spells. As an SK I absolutely LOVE this spell line!
I bought this spell last night for 120 crystals. Tested it out.
1) Single target
2) Target must be in group

If anyone can let me know, just wondering if this spell also procs for ranger's bows, thx for the info.
I beleive this is stricktly a melee proc.

Tested tonite on a 68 Ranger with 495 dex...will not proc. Melee only.

Cost is 120 crystals. Anyone that this is cast on procs a 405 dd almost every hit for 1 minute. Just used it killing Gimblax, had it on 7 pets/PCs (pet mafia, 3 reg pets, tank and bard). Proc went off 44 times that I counted in logs. Close to 18k damage in about 30 secs total.
Short duration/relatively high mana cost makes it something to use when burning down a mob fast, with little likelihood of needing mana after the fight.

DoN merchant spell for a few hundred crystals

This spell is purchased from the DoN mission merchants in Lavastorm. It lasts one minute and adds a 405 damage proc.

Apparently this is a spell released with the DoN expansion. No idea how to obtain it...
